KUZYK, Maria

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mom Maria while in Arizona at the age of 81 years.
Maria will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Wally (Marilyn), Larry, Sandra (Louie); five grandchildren: Tricia, Wally Jr., Kristi, Mitchell and Katie; two great– grandchildren: Cole and Jaelyn, as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Walter and son Michael.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at St. Charles Parish, 17511 — 112 Street, Edmonton, AB at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation

BUNKER, Cody Philip

Suddenly, on February 19, 2012, Cody Bunker of Edmonton passed away at the age of 26 years.
Cody will be lovingly remembered by his mother Brenda Bunker; his father Ron Bunker and his partner Darlene Roberts and her children Richard and Ashley. Cody will be missed by his aunts Linda (Rod) Kadatz, Karen (Mike) Chevette, uncle Bob (Stacey) Bunker, eight cousins and their families. Cody will also be missed by his grandfather Stan Tripp and his aunts: Cindy and her children Kyle and Jayden; Cheryl (Gary) Storey and their children Jayme, Warren (Brandy) and Angela (Dale).
Cody’s loss will leave a large void in the lives of his numerous friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Hertha and grandfather Phil, his maternal grandmother Louise Tripp and aunt Marcia Tripp.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Serenity Funeral Service, 5311 — 91 Street. A celebration of Cody’s life will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Richmond Park Church, 9340 — 69 Avenue.
If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation, 10985 — 124 Street, Edmonton, AB T5M 0H9.

SKRYPICZAJKO, Steve

On February 17, 2012 we lost a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and great friend at the age of 77.
Steve will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife Celina of 54 years; children and grandchildren: Carol (Daryl) Kristin, Brett, and Kaylie Klarenbach, Greg (Suzanne) Victor Skrypiczajko, Jana (Matt) Chloe Domanski; brothers Walter (Elaine), and Mike; sisters Mary Kurek, and Annette Semeniuk; cousin Annette (Urban) Bogusz, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Steve was predeceased by his parents John and Paranya, and brothers Ray and Peter.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 24, 2012 at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 7007 — 109 Street, Edmonton, AB. In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the Mazankowski Heart Institute

JONAS, James Richard

Born July 27, 1946 in Brooks Alberta, to Elmire and James Jonas.
Passed peacefully the morning of February 20, 2012 after a long and courageous battle with cancer with his loving wife Angie by his side.
Jim, we thought you were so amazing and strong.
Jim’s interests included family, friends, the great outdoors (loved ROUGHING it in his 40ft 5th wheel), telling stories of his past by the camp fire, quading with his seven grandchildren and had a great interest in classic cars. Jim loved children and was affectionately known as “Jimmy” in the neighbourhood.
Jim will be fondly remembered by his wife of 43 years; his three daughters: Tammy (Albert), Pamela (Darren) and Jamie (Jason); seven grandchildren: Braeden, Ashley, Michael, Sarah, Jolene, Breanna and Megan; three sisters Donna (Andy), Debbie (Tim), Carol (Merlin); two brothers: Keith and Bruce (Debbie); two brother-in-laws:Tony (Gloria), Emil (Adeline); numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his infant son James Anthony, his parents James and Elmire, sister Anita and nephews Bradley and Brian.
The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at the Cross Cancer Institute for all their kindness and compassion in caring for Jim (Dad).
A celebration on Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral Service North Chapel 10129 Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton, AB.

TRACHUK, Russell (Rusty)

It is with sadness that the family of Rusty Trachuk announce his passing on February 13, 2012, at the age of 71.
Rusty is survived by his loving family, wife, Andrea, daughters, Loreen James and Dawne (Ed) Hammerschmidt, and grandchildren, Eddie James, Teghan James, Paige Homeniuk, Dane and Olivia Hammerschmidt, two brothers, Hank Trachuk, Rosie Trachuk and sister Sonja (Art) Brekkas, nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by parents Paul and Yryna (Jenny) Trachuk, and sister, Helen.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. located at Serenity North Central Chapel, 10129 Princess Elizabeth Avenue, Edmonton.
In memory of Rusty, memorial donations may be made to the Edmonton Down Syndrome Society or Canadian Cancer Society.

McPHERSON, Daniel Gabriel Michael
September 15, 1992 — February 13, 2012

It is with heavy hearts we announce the tragic passing of Daniel Gabriel Michael McPherson on Monday, February 13, 2012 at the age of 19 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Cindy Martel, brother Nicholas, Darren Fuhrer, Adam Fuhrer, grandparents Chris and Dianne Maneschyn, Brian Maneschyn, and many, many friends as well as his cat “Midnight”.
Daniel was predeceased by grandparents Gabriel and Idell Martel, step-father Shane Bergeron, Aunts Wendy Kennedy and Wilma Klyne and great-great-grandmother Clara Webster.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from the Leduc Family Worship Centre, 4310 Black Gold Drive, Leduc. Services will terminate at the Church with Cremation to follow.

LISKE, Bernard
July 15, 1930 — February 11, 2012

We celebrate the life of Bernard Liske, who went to be forever with his Lord and Savior at the age of 81 years. Bernard leaves to cherish his memory his sisters Ethel (Walter) Kessir ‚Hertha (Joe) Maciocha as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, Gustav and Leokadia Liske, brothers, Helmuth and Garry, and sisters Irma and Violet.
The family wishes to thank the staff at 3rd Floor Parker at Lynnwood for their kindness and compassion.
A Celebration of Bernard’s life will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Serenity Funeral North Central Chapel, 10129 Princess Elizabeth Avenue in Edmonton, Alberta.
A private family interment will be held.

MCGARVA, Donald John
March 21, 1935 — January 23, 2012

On January 23, 2012, Don McGarva of Edmonton, AB passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife Kristine, and in the presence of friends.
Don will be sadly missed by his loving family: Kristine, his wife of 38 years and dog Mindy; son, Kevin (Debbie); daughters, Brenda and Sheri (Martin); step children, Vincent and Gaylene Bauer. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary and Laurie, also numerous nieces, nephews and many great friends.
Don will be cremated and a Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February 18, 2012, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 7508–29 Avenue, Edmonton, AB., with lunch to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or Edmonton Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.

SCHENDZIELORZ, Barbara Jean

It is with great sadness that the family of Barb Schendzielorz announces her passing, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her father Ross, husband Herb, four children Belynda, Travis (Stephanie), Chelsey, Melissa (Tyler), five grandchildren Dakota, Teagan, Rayin, Colton and Brett. She is also survived by six siblings Joyce (Danny), Linda, Ronnie (Angie), Arvilla (Peter), Fay (Ron) and Debbie (Klaas). She is predeceased by her mother Edna.

A Celebration of Life of Barb’s life will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Leduc Family Worship Centre, 4310 Black Gold Drive, Leduc, Alberta. A reception will follow at Telford House, 4907 – 46 Street, Leduc, Alberta.

Donations may be made at the service to “The Weekends to End Women’s Cancer Walk.”

STEFFLER, Lawrence Herbert

On Sunday, February 12, 2012 Lawrence Steffler of Edmonton passed away at the age of 84 years.
Lawrence will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Rita; two sisters: Marie (George), Gwen (John) as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother David, and four sisters: Dorothy, Vera, Esther and Myra.
At Lawrence’s request cremation has taken place and no funeral services will be held.
Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends so desire memorial donations may be made directly to the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute, 8442–112 Street, Edmonton, AB T6G 2B7.
Enyedy, Joseph

ENYEDY, Joseph Zoltan

January 4, 1926 – February 9, 2012

It is with great sadness that the family of Joe Enyedy announces his passing on February 9, 2012 in Leduc, Alberta.

He is survived by his loving wife Martha of 59 years, two sisters-in-law Matilda of Spirit River, Alberta and Esther of Cranbrook, BC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as many good friends. He was predeceased by four brothers Leslie, Dale, Frank and Barney. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was also a great musician.

Services will be held at a later date.

CAMPBELL, Neil

On February 11, 2012 Neil Harrison Campbell passed away at age 81.
Neil was born in Flin Flon, Mb on Jan 26, 1931.
He is survived by his daughter Katherine (Joe) Obermeyer; son Scott; brother Glen; Grandchildren Ryan, Stefanie, Cristal (Cody) Cheryl and Josh; two great grandsons plus nephews and nieces.
Neil was predeceased by his wife Anne; brother Alistair; sister Connie and granddaughter Susanne Obermeyer.
Neil will be interred in July at the Campbell family cabin at Denare Beach, Sk

IWASCHUK, Jean (nee Proskow)
December 3, 1939 — February 9, 2012

On Thursday, February 9, 2012, Jean passed away at the age of 72 years with her family by her side.
Jean was predeceased by her husband, Gene on May 6, 2004. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Rob (Shauna) and Cheryl (David) Burrill; grandchildren, Colton, Braydon, Keira and Ben; sister, Josephine Kozak of Calgary; brother, Ed (Chris) Proskow of Vancouver; sister-in-law, Liz Sadoway; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Jean was predeceased by her brothers, Walter Proskow and Mike Proskow, and sister, Helen Proskow.
Viewing will take place at 10:00 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 13503 — 40 Street NW, Edmonton. Cremation is to follow.
The family gratefully acknowledges the care and compassion shown to them by the nursing staff and Dr. Fontaine of the Cross Cancer Institute and St. Joseph’s Auxiliary Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, c/o the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 710–10123-99 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5J 3H1.
