KULAS -- Milan (Mike) passed away suddenly at his home in Regina, Saskatchewan on Sunday, January 25, 1998 at the age of 56. He was born in Sveti Marko selo, Perusic, Croatia. He is survived by his mother Marica Kulas; seven brothers and sisters, Jojkan Kulas, Roza Kulas, Marica (Tony) Valentic (Kulas), Pave Kulas, Nada (Joe) Bicanic (Kulas), Dragica (Mike) Mesic, and Ivica (Cathy) Kulas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Milan was predeceased by his father Jure Kulas, his brothers, Nikola and Milan Kulas, and his sisters, Mandica and Dragica Kulas and Ankica Vlajnic (Kulas). Milan moved to Calgary in 1966, later moving to Regina. His friends and family will remember him as a kind and generous man who thought of others before himself. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at LEYDEN'S "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.), on Friday, January 30, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Croatian Catholic Church (14675 Deer Ridge Drive S.E.), on Saturday, January 31, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Domin Vladic, Celebrant. Graveside Services to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery. LOACH -- Mrs. Angie Loach, beloved wife of Mr. Stan Loach of Calgary, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 1998, at her residence at the age of 44 years. McLEAN -- Margaret (Marg) McLean, beloved wife of Don McLean of Calgary, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Tuesday, January 27, 1998 at the age of 74 years. Margaret was born in Toronto on December 12, 1923. She was married in 1943 and together with her husband, raised a family in Guelph, Ontario, until they retired and moved to Calgary in 1985. Margaret was actively involved with the Dalhousie Mennonite Community Church, as well as Calvary Baptist Church in Guelph, Ontario. Besides her loving husband, Margaret is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Lynn McLean; a daughter and son-in-law, Marney and Bill Burchill; seven grandchildren, Mark, Paul, Scott, Matthew, Brian, Amy, and Stephen, all of Calgary. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Art Jones of Cambridge, ON; and a brother Grant Webber of Waterloo, ON. PEDEN -- Dorothy Peden passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on January 27, 1998 at the age of 76 years. She is the loving mother of Russ (Mary) Peden, Larry Peden, both of Calgary. Dorothy is also survived by her brother Art Schlaht of Walsh, AB, and numerous other relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Irvine in 1994, seven brothers and two sisters. PELLERIN -- Marcil J., aged 70 years, passed away after a brief struggle with cancer at the Foothills Hospital on January 27, 1998. He is survived by his loving wife Marg; four children, Barry and his wife Gwen, Debbie Selby and her husband Gary, Perry and his wife Annette, and Mark and his wife Cindy; and seven grandchildren, Kelsy and Cameron Pellerin, Ryan, Trevor and Tyler Selby, and Justin and Joshua Pellerin; as well as two sisters, Irene Robison and Bernadette Kennedy; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Philip and Oscar, and three sisters, Corine, May and Henriette. Marcil retired from the CNR after forty-four years of railroading. He received much enjoyment from curling and especially using his skills as a handyman, carpenter and flower gardener. Funeral Services will be held at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME, 1708 - 16 Avenue N.W. RAMSAY -- Sharon Nancy (Pettyjohn), passed away at home on January 25, 1998 at the age of 54 years. She is survived by three daughters, Lauri Meyers and her husband Joe; Shari Tracey and her husband David, and their children, Brittney and Jared; and Dheana Pettyjohn; their father Mervin Pettyjohn; her mother Martha Jean Ramsay; three sisters, Greta Sheppard, Gloria Robison and Heather Dorris and their families; and close friend Sylvia Sargeant. Sharon was predeceased by her father Hector MacDonald Ramsay in 1988, her sister Thora Jean Ramsay in 1927, her uncle Rhod Ramsay in 1997 and cousin Ishbelle Ross also in 1997. RICHARDSON -- Mr. Cameron Scott Richardson, beloved husband of Dale Richardson of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on January 28, 1998 at the age of 65, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Cam was born on March 21, 1932 in Tuberose, Saskatchewan, moving to Calgary as a teenager. Cam attended high school in Calgary at Crescent Heights and graduated from the University of Alberta in Edmonton in 1953 with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. His career with ATCO Ltd. is legendary. He was a Director, Senior Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of ATCO Ltd., a Director and Deputy Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Canadian Utilities Ltd. Retiring in April of 1997, Cam remained a Director of Akita Drilling Ltd. He was greatly respected by both his colleagues and the Canadian financial community. In his thirty-eight years with ATCO he played a most significant role in its growth and diversification. Cam was a genius at analyzing the most complex financial issues and all who knew him will miss forever his quick wit and terrific sense of humour. Cam's knowledge of sports was all-encompassing. Throughout his life he followed football, tennis, curling, hockey, basketball and had a real passion and involvement with thoroughbred horse racing. He served as a Director of the Calgary Stampeders, as well as the HPBA. He spent many active years involved with the Winter Club of Calgary. This loving, caring and compassionate man will be sorrowfully missed and forever remembered by his devoted family and many friends. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at the Foothills Hospital and especially to Dr. Walley Temple and Dr. Barry Baylis for their kind and compassionate care. Cam will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Dale, his caring and constant companion over the past seventeen years; his two daughters and son-in-law, Susan and Chris Papaioannou, Patty Jo Richardson; his two sons and a daughter-in-law, Doug and Renee Richardson, David Richardson; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Stephanie, Brandon, Brittanie, Mikayla, Ashley, and Christina. Saddened also by the loss of Cam is his extended family, Paul and Tanya Tomlinson, Beth Bain, and mother-in-law Muriel Brown. Cam is also survived by his brother Ross Richardson and family. WEILAND -- Carl G. passed away peacefully at the Rosedale Hospice on Saturday, January 24, 1998 at the age of 80 years. BARRETT -- Alice Emily (nee Holt). On Tuesday, January 20, 1998, Mrs. Alice Barrett of Wainwright, Alberta, passed away at the Wainwright General Hospital, Wainwright, Alberta, at the age of 74 years. She is survived by one son James (Della) Barrett f Kitscoty, Alberta; two daughters, Linda Gee (Frank Nicifore) of Calgary, Alberta and Heather (Tim) Wolfe of Calgary, Alberta; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; as well as her brothers and sisters, Sarah Nelson, Tom Holt, Mae Kurtz, Lil Carr, Sam Holt and lifelong friend "the best woman God put pants on", Therese Touchette. She was predeceased by her husband Jim, her parents, Joshua and Mary Holt, and three brothers, Bill Holt, Joe Holt and Dave Holt. Funeral Service for the late Mrs. Alice Barrett will be conducted on Friday, January 23, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Thomas Anglican Church, Wainwright, with Venerable Archdeacon Peter Yeung officiating. CHARMAN -- Kathleen, native Calgarian, passed away Sunday, January 18, 1998 at Foothills Hospital. Survived by husband Robert Charman; one daughter Nadine; two grandchildren, Andrew and Candice. COULTER -- Elsie Joan Coulter, of Calgary, passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on January 19, 1998 at the age of 75 years. Elsie was a longtime resident of Calgary. She is the loving mother of a son Joseph David of Calgary; a daughter and ason-in-law, Barbara and Brian Parker of Sherwood Park, Alberta; three grandchildren, Kirrily, Craig and Colin White. Elsie is also survived by two sisters, Janet Weller and Joan Earl; a brother Jack Matthews, all of England. She is predeceased by her husband Joe in 1988. DAVISON -- Bob Davison of Calgary, passed away suddenly but peacefully at his Bowness home on Saturday, January 17, 1998 at the age of 60. Bob was born in Calgary, March 13, 1937 and grew up on the family farm in the area now called Scenic Acres. Bobwill be lovingly remembered by his wife Wilma; his children, Jennifer (Myke), Tracey (Dave) and Robert (Tammy); grandchildren, Kelly, Cassidy, Rene, Caleb and Emma. Bob was predeceased by his father Bill, stepmother Joyce, brother Dick and sister-in-law Patricia. He is survived by his mother Muriel Morton and stepfather Alex Morton; brother Steve (Andree); and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob loved to read. He loved his garden. He loved his family. He was a gentle man we all will miss. DESROSIERS -- Florian (Floyd) Henry of Chilliwack, B.C., passed away January 15, 1998 at the Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 80 years. He was born February 13, 1917 in Duvernay, Alberta. He served his country in World War II as a Military Plice Officer, Division 5. He resided most of his life in Calgary, Alberta, working as a drilling engineer for Home Oil of Canada (he was known as Rosie). He retired in Chilliwack in 1988. Devoted husband to Ella and beloved father to Debbie of Calgary, Floyd (Joanne) of Calgary, Marcy (Steve) Willing of Chilliwack, Virgina (Steve) Senko of Edmonton, Lois (Doug) Rockwell of Calgary, Betty (Dale) Gilbertson of Westlock. Loving grandfather to twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Florian was a loving, devoted family man - no kinder, gentler soul could be found. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 - 24 Avenue N.W.), on Friday, January 23, 1998 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Robert Kasum C.S.B., Celebrant. EFROS -- Fred Efros passed away peacefully at Rockyview Hospital on Tuesday, January 20, 1998. He was 88. He is survived by his sisters, Cecile Klein and Lillian Millman of Montreal. He is also survived by his loving daughters, Beverley Merson of Calary and Rosanne Kleinman of New Jersey; his supportive sons-in-law are Lionel Merson and Arthur Kleinman. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Daniel, Joanna and Andrea Merson, and Randy, Nomi and Michael Kleinman. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Pearl (nee Maizen) Efros. Funeral Services will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1702 - 17 Avenue S.W., on Wednesday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery, Jewish Section (32 Avenue and 4 Street N.W.).
