VIOLINI -- Suddenly at his residence in Ottawa, Friday, January 9, 1998. John Violini age 57 years. Beloved husband of Eleanora Tyl. Cherished son of Dorothea (Fantin) and the late Fredinando Violini. Loving father of Laurie (Heron Chatterjee), Allen(Tracey Perron), Marc, Jay and Natasha Demarcq (Paul Robichaud). Lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Jenna Chatterjee. Dear brother of Theresa (Bernard Ceady), Rita, Cecilia (Fred Kubista), Leo (Kay), Maria (Rod MacIsaac), Louis (Glynnis), Michael (Gail Lonergan) and Jeanette (Gregg Norman). Son-in-law of Ludmilla Tyl. Also survived by his brother-in-law Rick Tyl; nineteen nieces and nephews, and thirteen great-nieces and nephews. WHITE -- The family of Anne White announce with sadness her passing at the Bethany Care Centre in Airdrie on January 9, 1998. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Morton White, also residing at Bethany Care Centre. She will alsobe missed by her three children, Morton of Sarnia, Alex of Calgary and Glenda of Toronto; two daughters-in-law, Grace and Valerie; and four grandchildren, Carla and Lora in Ontario, and Kyle and Ashlie in Calgary. Anne was born in 1908 in the Oakner district of Manitoba where her two brothers, Walter and Stewart Riddell still reside. She maintained a life-long love for the people and the area of her childhood. As a young adult, she moved to Winnipeg where she resided for over thirty years. While raising her children, she was also active in various church choirs and in her community. In 1962 she moved to Calgary. In her later years, she derived great pleasure from opening her home to children, grandchildren, other relatives and friends. She brought to those gatherings her love of music, her sense of fun and warmth of her love. A Memorial Service will be held in Calgary at Southwood United Church (10690 Elbow Drive S.W.), on Tuesday, January 13, 1998 at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Alan Schooley officiating. Following Cremation, Graveside Services will be held in Hamiota, Manitoba on January 16, 1998. If desired, Anne's family would appreciate donations in her memory to assist in the creation of a "Wandering Garden" at the Bethany Care Centre, 1736 - 1 Avenue N.W., Airdrie, AB T4B 2C4. Her gentle soul will live on in the hearts of all she loved. ARCHAMBAULT -- Rita Arlene of Calgary, formerly of Blackie, Alta., passed away at the Bethany Care Centre, Calgary on January 1, 1998 at the age of 85 years. Rita is survived by her daughter Lorraine (Jim) Williscroft; and her son Stanley (Fran) Archmbault, all of Calgary; and her grandchildren, Rob, Michelle and Don, David, Gerald, Ken and Betty. She is also survived by four sisters and brothers. She was predeceased by her husband Eli on July 13, 1975. Rita and Eli operated Rita's Coffee Counter at Blackie from 1946 until 1974. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, High River, on Tuesday, January 6 at 10:30 a.m., the Very Rev. Father Patrick Cramer, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Highwood Cemetery. If desired, contributions may be made in Rita's memory to the Bethany Care Centre, 916 - 18A Street N.W., Calgary T2N 1C6. BISCHOFF -- Mrs. Joyce Noreen Bischoff (nee Torgrimson) left us peacefully in the arms of her loving family, January 2, 1998. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Joyce is survived by her husband Nickolas; sons, Clayton (Patty, Chris, Lind), Barry, Brian and Russell. Joyce is also survived by her brother Mancel (Ruth, Daryl, Don, Ron). Joyce always took great pride in everything she did, from her job at Shaugnessy High School to her passion for doll collecting. With her husband Nick, she was active in various antique car clubs in Calgary. Joyce was especially fond of hosting friends and family in her home. Anyone who ever enjoyed her hospitality knew of the genuine caring and love she had for those around her. With her simple, unselfish, giving and outpouring of love, she touched everyone she met. BOARDMAN -- Mr. Arthur Boardman, beloved husband of Mrs. Doris (Dot) Boardman of Calgary, died peacefully at the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday, December 31, 1997 at the age of 98 years. He had been in failing health for some time. Arthur will be loingly remembered by his family and many friends both in Canada and England; especially by his dearest Dot, his wife of seventy-five years; his daughter and son-in-law Shirley and Geoffrey Haigh; his son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Joan Boardman; his seven grandchildren, Judy, David, Susan, Stephen, Richard, Michael and Philip; his six great-grandchildren, James, Kate, Robert, David, Charlotte and Elizabeth; and his two surviving sisters in England, Edna and Mary; as well as nephews and nieces. Arthur was the gentlest, kindest, most generous and affectionate of men, and we will all miss him very much. COLBURN -- John (Jack) Currie Colburn passed away on January 1, 1998 at the Glenmore Auxiliary, due to his injuries sustained from an accident on October 7, 1996. He is survived by three daughters, Lana (Pat) McCann, Rita (Brian) Iversen, Connie (Denis) Pelley; devoted son Lance and special friend Madeline. He was predeceased by his wife Anna (Jones), his parents and his sister Bonnie Bennett. Jack was born on January 5, 1929 in New Waterford Cape Breton where he worked as a coal miner until June, 1955 when he moved his family to Alberta. He was an employee with Western Canada Steel in Calgary and then had various jobs doing construction until 1994 when he took early retirement. Jack is survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one nephew Freddie (Julie) Colburn of Victoria, BC; and a niece Sharon (Carl) Godfrey of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Special thanks to Dr. Stinton, Allan, Vera and the staff at the Glenmore Park Auxiliary 2 West for all the support and care given to our father. COLLINS -- Mr. Paul Francis Collins of West Vancouver, passed away on Christmas Eve, 1997 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Jolanta (Frankowska) and devoted father of Peter, Kevin (Marilyn, Shanda and Troy) of Vancouver, Noreen Cameron (Gerry), Stfan and Mark of Kamloops, and Michael (Kathy) of Calgary. Dad will be lovingly remembered and missed as a patient and loving father, a friend and a devoted husband.

COPPS -- Mrs. Marie Adeline (Lena) Copps (nee Olivier), beloved wife of the late Mr. Theodore H. Copps, passed away at the Bethany Care Centre in Airdrie on January 2, 1998 at the age of 90 years. DOWEY -- Thelma Fauna (Gram) passed away suddenly on December 31, 1997 at the age of 82 years. Predeceased by her husband of forty-seven years, Joshua, on June 24, 1982, and grandson Jeff Champagne on August 2, 1981. She is survived by her daughters,Karen Dowey and Faye Kerrison (Jack); and grandchildren, Shelley Metzner (Bill), Brad Champagne (Debbie), Michelle Campbell, Mary Jane Kerrison (Keith Brady); and great-grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Myles, Stephanie, Brittany, Samantha and Kendra. Mrs. Dowey had moved to Granum, AB in August and made many special friends. She will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew her. ELLERBY -- Johathan Wray Ellerby, beloved husband of Mavis, peacefully went to be with his Lord in Mesa, Arizona on January 1, 1998 at the age of 68 years. Wray is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mavis; daughter and son-in-law, Shawna and Rik Lepp; and son and daughter-in-law Blaine and Wendy; and his granddaughters, Marin and Nicole Lepp, and Rachel and Robyn Ellerby who dearly loved their Papa and he them. He is also survived by brothers, Albert (Elaine), Veteran, AB, John (Donna), Sylvan Lake, AB; sisters, Lillian (Bob) Anderson, Three Hills, AB, Ruth (Joe) Price, Veteran, AB, Mary (Mike) Taschuk, Glendon, AB; sister-in-law Lois (Larry) Steinly; sister-in-law Irene (John) James, Eston, SK; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father and mother, Wilbur and Grace Ellerby, brother Ben, father and mother-in-law, John and Helen Stein, nephews, Leslie Price and Tim James. Wray was born at Throne, AB on October 3, 1929, received his schooling there and farmed in the Throne area for several years. He graduated from Full Gospel Bible Institute in Eston, SK. Wray married Mavis Stein on March 12, 1960 and they enjoyed a loving relationship for nearly thirty-eight years. They lived in Calgary for twelve years, the moved to their acreage in the Symons Valley area where they have enjoyed living for the past twenty-five years. Wray worked for MacCosham Van Lines, becoming manager of warehousing and distribution until his retirement in 1991. He delighted in his retirement, working around the acreage and restoring antique tractors. Together, Wray and Mavis especially enjoyed going out in their RV in the company of family and friends. When Wray passed away, they were beginning their seventh year of winter vacationing in Mesa, Arizona, having just arrived there on December 30, 1997. From these times many new and wonderful friendships were formed. As a young boy, Wray accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Although he had many joys in his life, the most important thing to him was to love, serve and honor the Lord, in every aspect of his life. Since 1959, Wray has served faithfully in many capacities, including Deacon and Elder in the Downtown Full Gospel Church. He truly believed in the value and importance of summer Bible Camps and gave himself to leadership in that area. He was chairman of Southern Alberta Full Gospel Bible Camp for the past six years. Wray will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and by all who knew him for his kindness, integrity, godliness, love, helpfulness and wisdom. He was a gentle man. Psalm 37:23 "The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delights in his way." HENDERSON -- Margaret Rosemary (nee Kinsman). On January 2, 1998, Mrs. Margaret Rosemary Henderson of Edmonton, passed away peacefully at the age of 66 in the presence of her family, after a courageous battle with a brief illness. Margaret was born Jly 22, 1931 in Edmonton and grew up in the Forest Heights area of the city. She graduated from Commercial High School in 1949 before working for the City of Edmonton. She married Basil on August 28, 1954. She was a full-time mother to four children and a loving grandmother to six grandchildren. She loved travelling, the outdoors and especially enjoyed camping with her family, which more recently included her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her mother Annie Rose in 1960, and her father Thomas William in 1967. Margaret leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Basil; son Ronald (Karen) and children, Lindsay and Thomas of Edmonton; son Douglas (Margaret) and children, Samantha, Marshall and Grayson of Medicine Hat; son Gregory (Arleen) and daughter Mycaela of Bashaw; and daughter Carla (Dave) Cole of Edson. She is also survived by her sister Vera Kinsman of Red Deer and brother William (Bill) Kinsman (Norma) of Edmonton; several nieces and nephews, and also many relatives in England. A Memorial Service in celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 1998 at 2:00 p.m. at Ottewell United Church, 6611 - 93A Avenue, Edmonton, with Rev. Clark Saunders officiating. At Margaret's request, Private Cremation and Interment will follow at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. van Wijngaarden and the nurses and staff of the General ICU (3A1) at the University of Alberta Hospital. JENSON -- Celia May, "May", of Nanaimo, BC, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on December 29, 1997. MacINNES -- John Malcolm MacInnes passed away peacefully in his home on December 30, 1997. He is predeceased by his brother Mel Hickey; mother Kathryn Pearl MacInnes and father Charles Parnell Hickey. He is survived by his sister Patricia Anne (Cliff Robertson of Calgary; a sister-in-law Donna Hickey and niece Pam of Edmonton. John served with the Canadian Armed Forces during World War II and was decorated with the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. John was born and raised in Calgary. He was a past President of the High Y Mountaineers and enjoyed hiking and camping in his younger years. John was employed by the City of Calgary, Purchasing Department for over thirty years. He retired in 1986 as the Director of Purchasing and was a member of B.SAM for many years. John will be sadly missed by all his adopted grandchildren, Joseph and Jesse Anderson, Eric, A.J. and Ayla Veldhoen, Sean, Adrianne and Marie Lynn Grigg, Christian Chiasson, Idris and Sam Mercer, Richard, Evan, Lucas and Ryan Veldhoen, their families and all his friends.
