TAVERNER -- Louis Taverner passed away at home in Calgary on October 21, 1997 at the age of 81 years.
Born January 19, 1916 in Lougheed, Alberta, he resided in Calgary from the time of his early boyhood.
He leaves behind his loving wife Elaine; children, Paul of St. Albert, Bob of Calgary, and Carole Blouin of Calgary; six grandchildren, Todd, Tim, Tracy and Tyler Taverner and Michael and Marc Blouin; as well as three great-grandchildren, Connor, Cameron and Maeghan.
He is also survived by his brother Bob of Calgary; and sisters, Connie Duncan and Babs Hayman of Delta, B.C. Lou was predeceased by his daughter Judy in 1945.
Lou was Past-President of the Downtown Lion's Club, a member of Officers Mess and an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Kensington Branch.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lou's memory to the Salvation Army, 1402 - 8 Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 1B9.
A Memorial Service will be held at LEYDEN'S "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.), today at 3:00 p.m.

TAYLOR -- Ida Marguerite passed away peacefully at the Stettler Nursing Home on October 23, 1997 at the age of 86.
Ida was born December 2, 1910 at Sylvan Lake and lived in the Eckville area before marrying George Taylor of Cochrane on July 20, 1938.
She will be sadly missed by one daughter Joyce (Bernard) of Stettler; one son Lyle (Brenda) of Cochrane; one brother Gus of Red Deer; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and numerous relatives.
She was predeceased by her husband George on May 15, 1991, brother Gregor, George and Fred, and sisters, Anne, Gordie, Signe and Dagny.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ida's memory to the Emphysema or Cancer Societies.
Memorial Service to be held at 2:00 p.m., October 27, 1997 at St. Andrew's United Church, 128 - 1 Street East in Cochrane.
WILLING-DAVIS -- Mrs. Estelle Alice Willing of Red Deer passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Nursing Home on Wednesday, October 22, 1997 at the age of 90 years.
Estelle was born on August 6, 1907 at Didsbury, Alberta.
She lived and received most of her schooling at Three Hills.
In 1931 she was united in marriage to Alfred Davis and the couple moved to Elnora in 1933, where they started a business.
After Alfred's passing in 1946, Estelle moved back to Three Hills and then to Red Deer in 1950.
While here, she worked at various places.
Estelle is survived by her two daughters, Joyce and her husband Ray Baltesson, and Elaine Grasley and her special friend Leo Works; her son Cliff Davis and his wife Shirley; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Jean Wilson and Dagmar Munro; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the EVENTIDE FUNERAL CHAPEL, Red Deer, on Monday, October 27, 1997 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend John Yoos officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mount Davis Cemetery, Three Hills.

YUSKOW -- On Wednesday, October 22, 1997, Frank Yuskow of Calgary, beloved husband of Mabel Yuskow passed away in the Rockyview Hospital at the age of 78 years.
Besides his loving "Hun", Frank is survived by his brothers and sisters, Helen Kaspick and husband Vern of Calgary, Carl and wife Lillian Yuskow of Edmonton, Bill and wife Florence Yuskow of Calgary, Tony and wife Harriett Yuskow of Winnipeg, Olga Masur and husband Gus of Melville, Saskatchewan, Nellie Andrews and husband Bill of Birds Hill, Manitoba; and sister-in-law Ann Yuskow of Calgary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Frank was predeceased by his brother Peter.
If desired, donations may be made in Frank's memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 3Y6.
Friends and relatives may pay their respects at LEYDEN'S "Chapel of Remembrance" (17 Avenue and 2 Street S.W.), on Sunday, October 26 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at Leyden's "Chapel of Remembrance" on Monday, October 27 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Leonard Hagel V.F. officiating.
Graveside Services will follow in the Field of Honor, Queen's Park Cemetery.
