Sadly we announce the passing of Ron on December 17th after losing the battle with cancer. Predeceased by his father Melbourne, mother Pearl and sister Bernice (Weaver). Ron left Bridgewater N.S. in 1965 to make his fortune in booming Prince George B.C. Two months later Helen joined him - after chasing him all the way across Canada to marry him. Together we created what we called the BC dynasty: Daughters Trudi (Dean) Bird, Crystal Nicholson, and Kerri Haines. Grandchildren Ronald Bird, Tiffany Bird, Allysha Nicholson and Breanne Nicholson. A resume of occupations would include: working on the lake boats, cleaning furnaces, delivering soda pop, tree faller, skidder owner/operator, tow truck owner/operator, and setting up camps for fire fighters. He enjoyed softball, bowling, curling, horseshoes, and most of all lake fishing. Ron was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose for many years and actively held many chairs. For the last 6 years he was a proud member of AA. There will be no funeral service by Ron’s request. In lieu of flowers we ask that you give your loved ones a kiss and a hug to show them your love.
