Glenn Gillespie
January 9, 1966 - August 8, 2011

Early August 8 2011, our beloved father and husband, brother, uncle and friend went to be with other loved ones that have left us. Glenn was born on January 9 1966 in Edmonton Alberta. He grew up and worked at McGavins Bread like his father had for many years. He played hockey for many years until, he met Angee Gillespie (nee May) in 1987 and they were married in 1990. They had three lovely, caring daughters.. Tamara Elizabeth, Lindsay Natasha, and Jacqualine Renee.

Glenn chose to drive truck early on in life and spent a large part of his life driving his big trucks. He worked for his last 18 years of his life driving to keep his family supported. He had many hobbies and loved his hockey. He cheered for the Edmonton Oilers, even when there just wasn't a chance. He collected many hockey cards and memorabilia throughout out the years. He loved to go and watch his daughter Tamara play ball and would be the catcher when she needed her daddy, even if it meant sacrificing his old goalie gloves.

He spent many hours with his two other girls Lindsay and Jackie playing their video games on the television. He must have got that from his mother as she was addicted too Nintendo for years also.

Glenn and Angee were constant supporters of Karaoke in the last two years. They have met many good and wonderful friends at Karaoke. Glenn had just begun to find his voice with their support.

He entertained many with his witty and sad songs.

He loved his music and would sit for hours with our dog Lucky (aka Bean) and listen to songs over and over. He was taken from us way too early, but knowing how good of a man he was, we know he is singing his songs and watching down on us.

He very recently lost his mother Elizabeth (Betty) Gillespie and was also predeceased by his father Robert Gillespie, and many Uncles and Aunts.

Glenn left behind to remember him, Angee Gillespie of 21 years of marriage, his three lovely daughters, Tamara, Lindsay, and Jackie, his older brother Wayne Gillespie, (Leona) and their two girls, Nancy Towle-Tronson (Don) and their six children Loyde Hartt-Towle (Sonja), Twyla Lambert (Julian), Tonya Towle (Anthony), Evan Towle, Amanda and Jolee Tronson.

There are many great nieces and nephews that Glenn had accepted as his own children.

He will truly be missed, but we know he is up in heaven singing his songs and making someone laugh as he did for us for many years. We love you Glenn and will miss you dearly. We will struggle now to understand why you had to go, but in our hearts we know that there is a reason.

Love you and miss you every moment. Thank you for sharing your short time on earth with us.

A potluck luncheon will take place after the service at the Kamloops Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in trust at the Royal Bank for his three girls.

A memorial Service will take place at the Kamloops Funeral Home on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 1:00pm
