ANDERSON - Sharon Wyonne, peacefully on October 1, 2000, at Golden Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, BC, at the age of 56. Lovingly remembered by her husband Kris and her father Dennie Anderson, as well as many friends and relatives in Alberta, Vancouver, and the United States. Family wishes to thank the caring staff at Jubilee Hospital for their care and kindness. Sharon was a wonderful and caring, loving wife and daughter and will be greatly missed. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2000 at 2:00 p;m. at First Memorial Funeral Services, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, Ph. 980-3451

BEGG - Ivy Mary (nee Biddlecombe), May 30th, 1910 - October 3rd, 2000. Ivy lived a long and happy life in South Vancouver and Bowen Island. Predeceased by loving husband Alec and brother Eddy, Ivy will be greatly missed by her children, Aileen (Paul), Bernice (Jack), Gordon (Sharon), 8 grandchildren and their families, sister Kitty, brother Stan, a large family of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friend, Vern - all of whom she loved very much. Ivy's last days were spent at the Royal Arch Masonic Home, where the tender care she received was greatly appreciated. A Memorial will be held on October 8th at 11:30 a.m. at Robson Manor, 101 3rd St., New Westminster. Flowers gratefully declined. Gone but not forgotten.

BORDIGNON - Mario, age 65 years, of Burnaby, passed away peacefully at home on October 4, 2000 surrounded by his family. Mario is survived by his devoted wife Carla; loving children Franco (Sandra), Luciana, Daniela (Don), Giovanni (Jane) and Moreno; grandchildren Amanda, Nicole, Michael, Jacob and Benjamin; brother Luigi (Rita) and sister Anna (Ernesto); sisters Priscila, Antonia and Elsa of Italy and many nieces, nephews and friends. He dedicated his life to working and loving his family. His generosity and spirit made him loved and respected by his family, relatives and friends near and far. Prayers will be offered on Monday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. from St. Helen's Church, 3860 Triumph St., Burnaby where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. C. DUPRE - Lorraine Anne (nee Adair) surrounded by loving family gently passed away October 3rd, 2000 following a 2 year battle with breast cancer. Lorraine's greatest treasure in her life was family. She will always be remembered as a woman with an enormous capacity for love. She is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Leo; 2 sons, Paul (Sasha), Patrick (Denise), 8 daughters, Annette Jackson (Alan), Marianne Dupre (Robert Morris), Carolyn Timms (James), Michelle Bernier (Reynald), Andree Dupre, Yvonne Mair (Dana), Simonne Sauve (Brian), Aline Auger (Greg); 14 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Jacqueline McCarron (Gerry) and Maureen Harwood (Elton) and their families. Prayers Monday, October 9th Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Coquitlam, 7 p.m., Funeral Mass Tuesday, October 10th, 10 a.m. Family requests in lieu of flowers donations to the Crossroads Hospice or Palliative Care Unit at Eagle Ridge Hospital in her memory.

ENGLAND - Doris passed away peacefully on October 3, 2000 at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her husband Eric. Doris is survived by her loving family, sons Doug and Ken, daughters-in-law Shaun and Wendy, grandchildren David and Jennifer. Doris was an active member of St. James Church. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 7th at 10 a.m. in St. James Anglican Church, corner of Cordova and Gore Streets, Vancouver. Mel is survived by his loving wife Doreen, daughter Paula (Bill), son Dell (Kelly), three grandchildren David, Robert and Kathryn, and by sister Una. Predeceased by brother Glendon. HIBLER - Johanna Marie (nee Roch), born September 8, 1921, passed away in her seventy- ninth year on October 2, 2000. Johanna is survived by her husband Richard, her two daughters,Erika and Irma, and her son-in-law Marvin Lamoureux. Until illness claimed her, Johanna loved life and lived it to it s fullest. She will be remembered for her kindness, her generosity and her sense of fun. The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the staff of the German-Canadian Home for their loving care. HOOD - David C. Born September 4th, 1917, passed away October 2nd, 2000 at Peace River Haven Care Home. He was a former resident of Mission and Vancouver. Born and raised in Vancouver, Dave was a WW II veteran. He worked at Kerrisdale Plumbing and Heating in Vancouver until he retired in 1975. He and his wife moved to an acreage north of Mission after his retirement and raised their animals. He was predeceased by his wife Mabel in 1997 and his mother and father. He leaves to mourn his passing his brother Bill (Zoe) of Surrey, and numerous nephews, nieces and friends. As he requested he was cremated and his remains placed beside his wife in Saskatchewan.1-800-577-4877

McANDLESS - John. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a father, son and husband on September 25, 2000. John is very much missed but lovingly remembered by his three children, Susanne, Brock and Blake of Calgary; his soul mate, Brenda Rehm of Medicine Hat; his parents Jack and Edie McAndless of White Rock, B.C.; and his brother Patrick; sister-in-law Sherri; niece Kali and nephew Taylor of Richmond, B.C. John was born in Vancouver on December 25, 1942. After graduating from UBC, he spent his entire working career with the Department of National Defense in Ottawa and Medicine Hat. As well as chemistry, his other passion in life was playing guitar, most recently with the band Southern Comfort. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, October 3, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. in the PATTISON CHAPEL downtown with Rev. Gene Packwood. NEWBERY - Captain (R), John Eldon, age 70 years, born in Calgary, February 19, 1930, passed away in Calgary, after a lengthy illness, on October 1, 2000. He is survived by his daughter Pam and son-in-law Brett Harris, and grandchildren Chris and Dani Harris; daughter Jan Rinvold, and grandchildren Mike and Tony Rinvold, all of Calgary. John was predeceased by his wife, Mary-Anne Elizabeth (Mollie), in 1998. John's career in radio sales began in Calgary in 1948. In 1974 he relocated to Vancouver with his wife Mollie and daughter Janet. In 1995 he retired as a partner in Major Market Broadcasters. John was very active and proud of his career with the Naval Reserve beginning in 1955. Prior to moving to Vancouver, he was appointed the Commander of HMCS Tecumseh. He continued his naval career upon relocating to Vancouver, ultimately being promoted to Commander, HMCS Discovery, retiring in 1995. He was also an active supporter of the Navy League of Canada. John was very involved in his community. He served on numerous church committees, was the Chairman of the International Sailor's Society of Canada and Chairman of the Vancouver Branch of St. John Ambulance. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Lung Association. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Christopher's Church, 1068 Inglewood, West Vancouver, B.C. on Wednesday, October 11 at 2:00 p.m., followed by an open house at the church.
