ALLEMEERSCH, Adrien W. - Monday, 03 May 2004
Adrien W. Allemeersch passed away in the presence of his Lord on May 3, 2004. born in Tisdale, Sask. on September 2, 1936 to Alador and Mina Allemeersch.
His legacy continues with his three sons and daughter, seven granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter. Adrien is also survived by a brother, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Adrien’s family welcomes friends and relatives to join them at Northview Community Church, 32040 Downes Rd., Abbotsford, - Friday, May 7, 2004. Viewing 12 noon to 2 p.m., with a Celebration of Adrien’s Life at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Justyn Rees officiating.

JENNINGS, Roy Harlem - Sunday, 02 May 2004
Roy Harlem Jennings went to be with the Lord on May 2,2004 at Langley Memorial Hospital at the age of 67 years. He was born April 12, 1937.
Roy is survived by his wife Virginia; sons, Shane (Wendy) and Dwayne and daughter, Deanna (Jay) and five grandchildren Stefan, Geran, Brandon, Madison and Devon; sister, Bernice (Jim), nieces and nephews.
Roy was born in Victoria, BC and led a well-traveled life with the RCAF beginning at the age of 17 years. After 21 years of service, Roy retired from the RCAF to begin a career with the BC Sheriff Service.
Upon retiring from the Sheriffs after 23 years of service Roy and Virginia relocated from Nanaimo to Agassiz, BC, Roy dedicated his time to his Church and helping in the community. He is deeply missed and loved by his family.
A Memorial Service will be held on May 6 2004 at 1 pm from All Saints Anglican Church 6904 Lougheed Hwy, Agassiz, Reverend Albert McLane officiating.
If family and friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.

HOWARD, Sylvia O. - Saturday, 01 May 2004
Sylvia went home to be with her Lord on May 1, 2004 at the age of 85 years.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and working within her church .
Pre-deceased by her husband Ralph F. Howard.
She is survived by five children, Phillip (Estelle) Howard of Richmond, Esther Doerksen of Chilliwack, Paul Howard of Chilliwack, David Howard of Chilliwack, Francine George of Penticton; 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday May 8, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. from the chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Huhn officiating. Interment to follow in the Chilliwack Cemeteries.

REID, Samuel Morris (Sam) - Saturday, 01 May 2004
Samuel Morris “Sam” Reid passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital on May 1, 2004 at the age of 74 years. He was born in Chilliwack on January 4, 1930.
He worked for many years with the Dept. of Public Works as a dredge operator.
Survived by his 2 sons – Mike (Lida) Reid, and Ernie (Julie) Reid; six grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Edith Robertson; and many nieces and nephews.
Private family cremation. Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack.
If family or friends so desire donations in Sam memory may be made to The B.C. Lung Association.

GILLIS, John William - Thursday, 29 Apr 2004
John William Gillis, late of Chilliwack, B.C. passed away April 29, 2004 at the age of 87 years. He was born September 2, 1916 in Vancouver, B.C.
John worked as a Supervisor and General Manager of McGavins Bakery and Abbotsford Bakery. He was a veteran of W.W. 2. His family was the joy of his life and he loved to play with his great-grandchildren. His passion was his summer home at Lindell Beach. John was a founding member of the Chilliwack Golf and Country Club and served as Captain and President. In his later years he enjoyed playing at the Aquadel Golf Club. John was also an active member of the Elks Club for many years.
John is survived by his wife of 67 years, Alta; 2 daughters, Terry (Hal) Engel of Maple Ridge; Betty (Ted) Rieder of Surrey; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harvey Moore; sister-in-law, Iris Stagles; 1 brother, Don and 1 sister, Bonnie.
The family would like to thank the Chilliwack Home Care Service for all their care and support. Special thanks to Uncle Harvey.
Visitation will be held - Monday, May 3, 2004 from 7:30–9 p.m. at Hendersons Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home. Rev. Doug Ireland officiating. Cremation, Valley Crematorium.
Should family and friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon, or the Canadian Cancer Society.

HUPKA, Barbara Madeline - Wednesday, 28 Apr 2004
Barbara Madeline Hupka late of Chilliwack, formerly of Okanagan Falls, passed away at the Chilliwack General Hospital on April 28th, 2004 at the age of 85 years. She was born August 6,1918 in Allan, Sask.
Prayers will be held - Monday, May 3rd at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church at 7 p.m. with a Funeral Mass being held - Tuesday, May 4th at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 60 years, Mike Hupka of Chilliwack, her only child, Dennis Hupka (Marlene Larson) of Chilliwack; 2 grandchildren, Caitlin Holmes (Josh) of Burnaby and Mikki Hupka of Vancouver. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Julia Nordin (Vidor) of Ottawa; sister, Ann Wald (Henry) of Port Coquitlam; brother, Raymond Zerr (Sheila) of Delta and brother, Frank Zerr (Francis) of Stettler, Alberta.
She was predeceased by her brother, Emil Zerr (Ida) and sister, Pauline Weisbeck (Adam) both of Saskatoon, Sask.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the White Cane Club of Chilliwack; in care of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave., Chilliwack, B.C. V2P 2S9.

JONES, Clayton Sidney - Sunday, 24 Oct 2004
Clayton passed away at Fraser Hope Lodge on October 24, 2004. Born in Chilliwack, August 10, 1928, and predeceased by his wife Barbara Mae Jones (nee Porter) in 1992.
Clayton and Barbara are survived by seven children; 20 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers; cousins; and nephews.
Funeral to be held in Savona, B.C. on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fraser Hope Lodge would be welcome.

CROSMAN, Colonel Jack - Tuesday, 26 Oct 2004
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Jack Ernest Crosman on October 26, 2004 in Chilliwack, B.C.
Loving husband and best friend of Patricia Catherine (nee Morrison) Crosman for over 50 years. Dear father of Peter (Dawn) Crosman of St. Albert, Alta., John Crosman of Victoria, B.C., Tricia (Pat) Stogran of Ottawa, Ont. and Chris (Cindy) Crosman of Chilliwack, B.C. Precious Papa to Rhiannon, Danielle, Catherine, Patrick, Scott, John (J.J.), Nicholas, Jennifer and Benjamin Jack Crosman and Molly and Dylan Stogran.
Jack was predeceased by his parents Ernest Emerson and Jenny (nee Perry) Crosman, brothers Clarence, Gordon and Ernest (Mickey) Richard and sisters Doris Claremont and Patricia LeBlanc.
He is survived by his sister Marion Cormier of Caissie Cape, N.B., many brother-in- laws and sister-in-laws, special nieces and nephews, colleagues and many, many friends.
Jack Crosman was born in Moncton, N.B., October 30, 1930. He served 36 years in the Canadian Armed Forces (RCHA) and was a veteran of the Korean War. He commanded a missile base in post war Germany, served in Quebec during the FLQ crisis, commanded the Artillery School in Gagetown, N.B., and was the Base Commander of C.F.B. Chilliwack from 1977 to 1980.
Upon retirement, he became active in the Chilliwack community serving on the board of the First Heritage/Envision Credit Union, was President of Rotary, area coordinator for Emergency Response, a member of the Legion, and President of the 1993 B.C. Summer Games. He and Pat moved to the Chilliwack area in 1977 and fell in love with the Valley immediately. He was a loving husband, father and Papa, and will be eternally missed.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., - Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at the Sardis Community Church on South Sumas Rd.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

BRYDEN, Veronica (Bonnie) - Monday, 25 Oct 2004
Veronica (Bonnie) Bryden passed away at Valleyhaven Guest Home on October 25, 2004 at the age of 88. She was born in Glace Bay, N.S. on December 23, 1915.
Bonnie is survived by her children, son John Lawrence (Diane) Bryden of Trenton, Ont., daughters, Marie Demers of Chilliwack, Doreen, McDonald of Abbotsford and Helen (Paul) Kirby of Langley. She is also survived by her sister Clara MacPhee and brother George Fraser both of Glace Bay, N.S., 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Bonnie was predeceased by her husband John Lawrence Bryden as well as seven brothers and three sisters.
Our beautiful mother and grandmother will loving be remembered for her love of her family, her indescribable generosity and her famous bread and buns. She loved to play bingo and was an avid walker. We are so happy that she will once again be able to walk and now it will be with the other angles.
Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 29, 2004 at 11 am in the Chilliwack General Hospital’s chapel with Fr. Seamus Makrell as officiant. Interment at the Royal Canadian Legion Cemetery with Fr. Gino Aloisio officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Cancer Society.

BOYCE, Josephine (Jo) Grace - Wednesday, 13 Oct 2004
Josephine (Jo) Grace Boyce of White Rock, formerly of Chilliwack, Hope, Ashcroft, Whitehorse, and Vancouver, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004. She was born April 27, 1920 in Chilliwack to Joseph and Rhoda Fowler.
Predeceased by her husband James Ogilvie Boyce in 1981; sisters, Dorothy Hubbard, and Ella Penner of Chilliwack; and brother Norman Fowler of Loon Lake and Ashcroft.
Survived by her loving family, daughters, Nancy Staley (Donn), Joan Koonts (Steve), and Susan Dadson (Dave); and grandchildren, Tony, Andrew, Tyler, Kristine, and Steve. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Bette Gammer, and Betty Boyce, and their families.
No service by request.

BAZLEY, John Henry “Jack” - Friday, 15 Oct 2004
Jack Bazley, late of Agassiz, passed away on October 15, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 81 years. He was born in Aldergrove, BC on January 8, 1923.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Harry Charles Stewart passed away on October 20, 2004 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, October 23, 2004 from Skwah Hall, Chilliwack. Interment in the Skwah Cemetery followed.
