KELLY, Gary Russel - Sunday, 22 Sep 2002
Gary Russel Kelly died suddenly September 22, 2002 in Ft. St. James. Gary was born in Wells, B.C., but lived most of his life in Chilliwack.
Gary leaves a son Kevin Kelly; his mother Carol Kelly (Jim Faust); and soulmate Manon Kelly; also special auntie Myrt and uncle Bob Bessett.
Gary was predeceased by his father Russel Kelly September 22, 1991.
We would like to remember Gary as a wonderful, decent man, full of humour and goodheartedness, with a zest for life.
We will love him forever and he will live on in his son Kevin.

BEATCH, Jason Joshua Eldon (Dent) - Thursday, 20 Feb 2003
Jason was born March 30, 1975 in Prince George and died in Chilliwack, February 20, 2003. He will be an enormous loss in so many lives, but will continue to be a joy and light in so many hearts.
Jason will be profoundly missed by his mom and dad, Margo and Wilmer Beatch; his birth mom Sue Pollack; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joanne (Gordon) Maurits, Connie (Sarah), Laurence (Patty), Philip, Amanda Beatch (Richard Bruneau), Suzanne (Corey) Primus, Alice (Robert) Munro, and Hannah Beatch (Darcy Minnick); and Jason’s birth sister and brother, Lisa and Jamie. Jason loved being an uncle and will be missed by his 21 nieces and nephews, Nicholas, Joshua, Sarah, Kita, Freda Margo, Megan, Andrew, Simon, Alexander, Lucy, Raphael, Sasha, Florence, Naomi, Joel, O’Neil, Levi, Samuel, Zoe, Thomas and Madeleine.
We are deeply grateful for the support and love Jason and we received from so many, especially Dr. Mark Mackenzie, Father Seamus Mackrell and Father Gary Gordon, Nancy MacNeill and Elaine Holub, and the wonderful team of Palliative Home Care Nurses.

SHANE, Grace - Friday, 04 Oct 2002
Grace Shane passed away on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 at Chilliwack General Hospital, at the age of 74 years.
Grace was born in East York, Ont. on November 4, 1927. She lived in Ontario with her husband Victor until 1985, when they moved to Surrey. Victor passed away on December 15, 1992. In 1994, Grace moved to Prince George with her son and his family, then settled in Chilliwack in 1999.
Grace is survived by her son Peter Shane, his wife Karen, and their son Kenny of Chilliwack; daughter Beverly Heffernan, her husband Joe, and their son Clinton of Kitchener, Ont.; sister-in-law Queenie Shane of Toronto, Ont.; brother Dennis Hindy and his wife Lorraine, of Guelph, Ont.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Grace’s family will miss her deeply but they take great comfort in knowing she has gone to a wonderful place and is now with the Lord.
Grace will be resting at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack. Family and friends may visit from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 11, 2002. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. from Surrey Centre Cemetery in Surrey. A memorial service will follow Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church, 45187 Wells Rd., Sardis, Pastor David Lee officiating. A tea will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Grace’s memory may be made to Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church, designated to children’s ministry.

MADER, Jacklyn Joanne - Wednesday, 02 Oct 2002
Jacklyn Joanne Mader passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002 in Chilliwack at the age of 56. She was born March 4, 1946 in Simpsons Corner, Nova Scotia.
A Celebration of her life will be held at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002 at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Lorne Lueck officiating. Cremation, Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack.
Jacklyn is survived by sons, Jon (Wendy) Mader of Chilliwack; Chris (Claric) Mader of Oromocto, New Brunswick; two grandsons, Geoff and Chris; and husband, Rick.
Left to mourn in Nova Scotia are her parents Marcel and Margie Emino; brother, Gerald (Linda) Emino; sisters, Joye (Thomas )Kaulback; Jyl (Fred) Nev.ille; Jolene Emino, and numerous other relatives and special friends.

SIEMENS, Elsie Lois - Tuesday, 01 Oct 2002
Elsie Lois Siemens longtime resident of Chilliwack, and formerly of Bradner, passed away after a brief struggle with cancer, peacefully at her home on October 1, 2002, to be with her Lord at the age of 80 years, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Elsie is survived by her loving family, husband of 54 years, Jake; and dearly remembered by her children, Ken (Janet) Siemens, Corrine Toews, and Rob (Lorena) Siemens; eight grandchildren, Bryan (Carmie), Jeff, David, Wayne, Colleen, Geoffrey, Nicolette, and Ryan; also survived by her brother Elmer Clark (Lennie); and many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to her caring neighbours and friends for all their gifts of time, food, and support.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. - Monday, Oct. 7, 2002 at Chilliwack Cemeteries (Little Mountain), 10010 Hillcrest Dr., Chilliwack. Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. at Eden Mennonite Church, 46551 Chilliwack Central Rd., Chilliwack. Pastor Werner Froese officiating.

SMITH, Edward (Eddie) - Tuesday, 01 Oct 2002
The death of the late Edward (Eddie) Smith of Carrolls Crossing, N.B., husband of Elva (Lyons) Smith, occurred Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, N.B. Born in Liverpool, N.S., he was the son of the late Lester and Louise (Joudrey) Smith. Eddie was a retired sergeant from the Canadian Armed Forces where he served with the Royal Canadian Engineers.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter Donna Aguillon of Chilliwack; one step-son Bayard O’Donnell (Myra) of Fredericton, N.B.; two step-daughters, Charlene Hunter (Lynn Allan Richard) of Fredericton, N.B., and Karen Clowater (Arden) of New Bandon, N.B.; one brother Barrie Smith of Liverpool, N.S.; one sister Greta Titus of Liverpool, N.S.; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
A private family memorial will be held at the Miramichi Valley Funeral Home, New Bandon, N.B. at 2 p.m. - Friday, Oct. 4, 2002.
Family address: Mrs. Smith, 5777 Carrolls Crossing Rd., Carrolls Crossing, N.B. E9C 2G3.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.

NEUFELD, Helen - Monday, 30 Sep 2002
Helen Neufeld passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2002 at Chilliwack General Hospital, at the age of 72 years. She was born April 7, 1930 in Steinfeld, Russia.
Helen is survived by her husband Peter; children, Laurie (Norm) Trayer, Karen (Garth) Dauncey, Roland (Peggy) Neufeld, Kathe Neufeld, and Ellen (Brian) Loewen; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister Mary Petkau; niece Anita (Bruce) McKinnon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Helen was a wonderful homemaker, and offered her family and friends hospitality at its best. She loved cooking, canning, and baking. Helen also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and tending her beautiful gardens, especially her favourite red roses. She also loved music and enjoyed singing. Most of all she loved her family, and had a special spot in her heart for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all her pets.
A viewing for family and friends will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002 at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave., Chilliwack.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7,2002 at the Chilliwack Seventh Day Adventist Church, 18 Riverside Dr., Chilliwack. Pastor Mike Dauncey officiating. A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. from Chilliwack Cemeteries on Little Mountain.
Pall bearers will be Norm Trayer, Chris Trayer, Karl Maletz, Roland Neufeld, Matt Loewen, and Garth Dauncey.

FEDERICI, Agnes - Sunday, 29 Sep 2002
Agnes Federici was born on December 27, 1908 in Kooskia, ID, and passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002 at the Extended Care Unit of Mission Memorial Hospital.
Predeceased by her husband Dan in 1980.
Survived by her son Frank (Maryann); daughter Marion (David) Buker; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 32550 Seventh Ave., Mission, with interment to follow at Hatzic Cemetery. Father Tom Nicholson Celebrant.
If desired, donations in Agnes’ memory may be made to a charity of your choice.

BLANE, George - Saturday, 28 Sep 2002
George Blane passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002 at Chilliwack General Hospital, ending his battle with cancer.
George was born in Ayr, Scotland on November 16, 1928, and moved to Canada in 1952.
George is survived by his loving wife Margaret; their three sons, Stuart (Judy), George (Gail), and David (Susan); and five grandchildren, Robyn, Sean, Kelly, Janelle, and Ashleigh. He will also be missed by his brothers, Harry and Hugh; one sister Netta; and by so many whose lives he has touched.
A memorial service will be held at Cooke’s Presbyterian Church on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 at 1 p.m. A reception will follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in George’s memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

DAVIS, Phyllis Ivy - Wednesday, 25 Sep 2002
Phyllis Ivy Davis late of Chilliwack, passed away September 25, 2002 at the age of 91 years. She was born March 2, 1911 in Yorkton, Sask.
After living in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Victoria, Phyllis and her husband came to Chilliwack in 1945 where they owned and operated the South Sumas Store.
A graveside service was held on Friday, Sept. 27, 2002 at 1 p.m. at the IOOF Cemetery. Rev. Doug Ireland officiated.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Mrs. Roy (Mabel) Enger, Mrs. Charles (Evelyn) Fowler, and Jack (Eileen) Liable; sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Ball, Mrs. Marjorie Alberts, and Mrs. Olive Wise; and brothers, Percy Stearn and Russell (Vinnie) Stearn. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Doug, Don, Janice, Eric, Amanda, Matt, and Tracy; two great-grandchildren, Joel and Laurel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband Jack Liable; and second husband James Davis.
No flowers at the request of the family.

RADLOFF, Trudy Colleen - Wednesday, 25 Sep 2002
Trudy Colleen Radloff passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 in Chilliwack, at the age of 41 years.
She is survived by her son, David J. McKay; daughter Kylie M. Radloff; mother Eileen Dubois Perry; three sisters, Brenda (Alvin) Johnstone, Pamela (Jean) Paradis, and Alannah M. Dyck; one brother Daniel (Debbie) Dyck; and several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.
Trudy was predeceased by her father Jacob Dyck, October 2, 2000; her stepfather Réal Dubois, July 27, 2000; her brother David, March 25, 1973; also her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2002 at the Community of Christ, 9856 Carleton St., Chilliwack. Tea will be served following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Trudy’s memory may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.
No funeral service by request.

ISAAC, Jake - Wednesday, 25 Sep 2002
Jake Isaac passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2002 in Chilliwack Hospital at the age of 73 years. He was born on May 9, 1929 in Silberfeld, Man.
Jake worked as a custodian for the Chilliwack School District for 20 years until his Multiple Sclerosis progressed to the point where he was forced to retire in 1985.
Funeral services were held in Gretna Bergthaler Church, Man. on September 29, 2002 and laid to rest beside his parents, the late Franz and Neta Isaac, in the Gretna Cemetery. Pastor Rudy Franz and Albert Martens officiated.
Jake is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen; sons, Carey (Debra) of Winnipeg, Man., and Robert (Theresa) of Abbotsford; and daughters, Glenda (Warren) of Edmonton, Alta., Alberta and Kimberley of Chilliwack. He leaves four grandchildren, Tyler, Danielle, Katie, and Jacob.
