Born November 29th, 1918 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, passed away December 6th, 2004 in Richmond, British Columbia.

Evelyn Williams dearly beloved wife of the late Bill. Loving mother of John (Gayle), Pat (Karen) and Bev May (Hap). Fondly remembered by her 7 grandchildren: Jay (Brooke), Amber, Alanna, Jeffrey, Caitlyn, Evan and Jeremy and 1 great-granddaughter Ashley. Evelyn will be sadly missed by her 2 sisters, 2 brothers, her relatives and many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's Parish, 8251 St. Alban's Road, Richmond, B.C. on Friday December 10th, 2004 at 1:00 pm with a Tea to follow. Monsignor Dennis Luterbach, Celebrant.

Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Burnaby, B.C.

Flowers gratefully declined, rather, a donation in Evelyn's memory may be made to BC Cancer Agency, Suite 200, 601 W. Broadway, Vancouver, B.C. V5Z 4C2

Mr. Masaru Douglas Oike
July 17, 1915 - July 18, 2004

Passed away after a lengthy illness on July 18th 2004. Born, July 17th, 1915. He was 89.

Survived by his loving family: wife, Marie Yaye; 2 sons, Perry (Nancy) and George (Linda); 2 grandchildren, Darrell (Celina) and Kirsten (Peter) and 2 great-grandchildren, Taro and Kaiya; 1 sister, Yoshiko Kubo; his sister-in-law, Marge Oike and many, many relatives.

Private family service was held at the Richmond Funeral Home on July 22nd, as was his wish.

He was cremated.

Koden and flowers gratefully declined.

Mr. Joseph "Del" Delmar Cheetham
December 17, 1919 - November 02, 2004

Del Cheetham dearly beloved husband of Mary, loving father of Carolyn Ferguson. He will be sadly missed by a brother Bob; his 2 sisters, Hazel and Elsie; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wish to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Minoru Residence for the care shown to Del.

Born February 19, 1922 in Steveston, BC. Passed away Sunday, October 24, 2004, after a long courageous battle with cancer.

He will be sadly missed by hes beloved wife of 50 years, Sumiko (Marge), daughter Debbie, sons Rodney (Linda), Lloyd (Paulette), grandchildren Jaime, Michael, Katie; sisters Kiku Hikida, sueko Ito (Ken) and many friends and relatives. Aki will be lovingly remembered for his kind heart, easygoing nature and sense of humour.

After he was married in Raymond, Alberta, he returned to Steveston to be a commercial fisherman until his retirement in 1986.

A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, BC (richmondfh@arbormemorial.com) on Saturday, October 30, 2004 at 10:30 a.m.

Mrs. Diane Miles (née Walter)
May 12, 1944 - October 13, 2004

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 12th, 1944. Passed away in Richmond, British Columbia on October 13th, 2004.

Diane Miles, dearly beloved wife of Robert. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Robert wishes to thank Dr. Yun, Dr. Vallani and the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit of The Richmond Hospital for the care shown to Diane.

As an expression of sympathy, a donation in Diane's memory may be made to the BC Cancer Agency.

Predeceased by his wife Dolores, father Peter and mother May. Survived by one brother Glen, and 6 children, Rob (Theresa), Laurie (Dwayne), John (Lenora), Gordie, Terri (Bill), Doug (Cheryl); 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Born and raised in Vancouver, he married Dolores in 1949 and moved to Richmond in 1958 where they resided in the home he built till his passing.

He made his living driving trucks for Pete Fraser Trucking which he later owned and operated. He was a member of the Army & Navey Veterans of Canada and Teamsters Local 31.

He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Service to be held Friday, October 22, 2004 at 2:30 pm at the Richmond Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Holy Family Hospital or Richmond General Hospital.

Mrs. Virginia "Ginny" Corneil Lucas

My Mom passed away on Monday, October 18, 2004 at the Richmond Hospital, from complications arising from advanced lung cancer.

Ginny, as she was known by to her many friends and her family, will be remembered for her outgoing nature and her ability to make new friends everywhere she went.

Ginny is survived by her brother Rob Lucas; her son Gary Lucas; her daughter June Thomson; her son-in-law Michael Bajada; her love Gary Thomson, and the many "coffee" friends she has made over the years.

There will be a visitation and a gathering held on Sunday, October 24th, 2004 at the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, BC. Visitation from 12pm - 2pm followed by gathering from 2pm - 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her name to The Richmond Women's Resource Center Association, Unit #110 - 7000 Minoru Blvd., Richmond, BC V6Y 3Z5;

Mrs. Jessie Davis (née Simmonds)

Born April 8th, 1919. Passed away October 19th, 2004 in The Richmond Hospital.

Jessie was predeceased by her husband Eric, brothers, Edward and Alexander and son-in-law Allen and her first husband Laurence.

Lovingly remembered, forever missed by daughters, Ruth (Colin) and Nancy, grandsons Jim and Brian, sister Dorothy and twin brother Walter (Marg), as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jessie and family were grateful for kindness and wisdom shown by Jean Bingert, RN at time of Mom's admission to Minoru Residence.

A Celebration of Jessie's Life will be held in the Chapel of the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, BC on Monday, October 25th, 2004 at 1:30 pm.

Mr. Lawrence "Larry" Kikuo Imoo

Passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 11, 2004 playing the game he loved: golf. Born on July 30, 1941 in Steveston, B.C.

Larry will be sadly missed by his wife of 35 years, Joyce; children, Clayton (Gail) and Jason (Joanna); mother, Tsuya; sister, Ritsuko; grandchildren, Sean and Jacob; sisters-in-law, Johane and Nancy; as well as a nephew, many nieces, family and friends and grandpug Shaila.

Predeceased by father Diagoro and brothers, Danny and Christ.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service and Reception to celebrate Larry's life on Saturday, October 15, 2004 at the Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 ambie Road, Richmond, BC at 11:00 am.

Visitation one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Larry's name to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canuck Place Children's Hospice.
