LeBLANC - Warren Robert. Born October 2, 1969.Died suddenly November 23, 1998. To be greatly missed and loved forever by his mother, Terry LeBlanc, his father Dan LeBlanc, brother Jason, daughter Ashley Terry LeBlanc, all the Young family, all the Braley family, all who knew him in his 29 years. Aged 86. Lovingly remembered by her son, Peter and his wife, Valerie; grandchildren Julie and Mark; relatives and friends. A service will be held at St. Martin's Anglican Church, 195 E. LUCAS - Patricia Mary (nee Broughall). Suddenly, at home, on November 11, 1998, in her 79th year. Survived by Ron, her loving husband of 55 years, daughters Jane Lucas and Anne (Ross) Campbell, grandchildren Jessica and Shawn Campbell, sister Margaret Welch, sister-in-law Katherine Power, and many nieces and nephews in BC and England. Pat served in the ATS in England for five years during WWII. For many years she was very active in Guiding in BC. Throughout her life she enjoyed family, community and social activities. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. A remarkaable woman, she always brought out the best in everyone with her cheerful and optimistic disposition. She will be greatly missed. At Pat's request cremation without service will be carried out. Family and friends are invited to gather to remember her on Saturday, November 21, 2-4 p.m. at the Seastrand Lounge, 150-24th Street in West Vancouver.

MATHIESON - Christina Elizabeth. Passed away at Lions Gate Hospital on November 12, 1998 at the age of 91 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Susan Jaggs; niece Betty Graham and her three sons; nephew Grant Davidson of Toronto; numerous other nieces and nephews in Cleveland, Ohio. She lived many years in Edmonton where she served as President of the C.N.I.B., the I.O.D.E. and the Salvation Army, a longtime member of Capilano Golf and Country Club, a keen bridge player, a wonderful mother and a dear friend with only kind and caring thoughts for others. Memorial service will be held at West Vancouver United Church, 2062 Esquimalt Ave, West Vancouver on Friday, November 20, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Gouws officiating. Passed away peacefully in North Vancouver on Sunday, November 15, 1998 after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her children Molly, Doug, Mark (Kate) and Tom; son-in-law Gordon Haas; daughters-in-law Maureen and Lisa Nevin; grandchildren Eileen, Brenda, Taylor and Abram; and loyal friend Bear. A remarkable woman who will be remembered for putting others before herself and helping people throughout her life, Stephie will be greatly missed by family, friends and community. GOWAN - Sheila Patricia. With great sadness Erin Klausen (Tom) and Trish Eccles (Ross) announce the death of their mother on Sunday, November 15, 1998 after a valiant battle with cancer. BRYANT - Marion Rose. Born in Winnipeg, October 15, 1917. Died peacefully at Evergreen House in North Vancouver on November 17, 1998. She was predeceased in 1994 by her loving husband Arthur, they shared a wonderful life together for 51 years. Marion will be dearly missed by her two brothers Joe and Syd Sandell of Montreal and her sons Dennis, Roger and Colin and grandsons. Her passing is also mourned by many other family members and friends. A memorial for Marion will be held at Roger Bryant's home at 455 Burhill Rd, West Vancouver, on Monday, Nov-ember 23, 1998 at 1:30 p.m. All of Marion's family and friends are welcome to attend. TERRILLON - Leo M. Passed away on November 18, 1998 at the age of 74 after a valiant battle with cancer. A husband to Marion, father to sons Don (Deb) and Glen (Delane), grandpa to Brett, Jason, and Shane, and predeceased by granddaughter Kylie (1991). Survived by extended family of Terrillon and Roberts, and friends everywhere. Leo fulfilled his dreams by settling in Halfmoon Bay to golf, garden, hunt and fish, after a career with the District of North Vancouver. No service by request. DARNBROUGH - Ron. Passed away November 16, 1998 in North Vancouver at the age of 75. Predeceased by his loving wife Betty. Will be sadly missed by his loving son Mike (Susan), grandchildren Matthew and Lee as well as several close friends. Ron was a member of R.C.A.F, during WWII and retired from active duty in 1971 at the rank of squadron leader. OLIVER - Ida Augusta, passed away November 18, 1998. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in 1996. PERVIS - Dorothy Margaret Cornwell (nee Leigh) of North Vancouver. Passed peacefully to a heavenly home on November 17, 1998, aged 89. Dorothy was born in Rayleigh, England in 1909 to missionaary parents in Northern Ontario. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Dr. Dennis W. Pervis, daughter-in-law Joan and grandson Robert, of Coquitlam. Predeceased by her husband William, KIA, Canadian Army, 1944, by her parents, Rev. Canon John and Mary Annie Leigh and; by her brother Laurie (J.L.) Leigh. Also survived by Leigh relatives in B.C., in England and by Cornwell relatives in Australia and England. Dorothy was well known as a member of St.Agnes, St. Johns and Canyon Heights C.A. Churches in North Vancouver. She was 33 years a school secretary for the North Vancouver School Board and resided in North Vancouver since 1944. REITH - Erwin Heinrich. Born in Germany . Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family (after his 4th stroke) at Lions Gate Hospital on November 19, 1998 at the age of 71. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Hilde, his daughters Angela and Monica, son-in-law Martin, grandson Brandon, all his relatives in Germany and by all who knew him. A wonderful husband and father with only kind and caring thoughts for others. At Erwin's request cremation without service will be carried out. CHESTNUT - Dorothy Muriel (nee Wilson), peacefully at Evergreen House, North Vancouver on November 10, 1998. Lovingly remembered by her husband Glenn, her daughters, Carol (John Thomas), Joanie (David Christie), her grandchildren Jack, Will, Graham and Arlie; her brother Charles Wilson; aunt Muriel Eames; cousin Jacqueline Brown; and sister-in-law Florence Dickson, whose extraordinary help was deeply appreciated. GRANT - Francis Joseph (Frank) born October 2, 1920 died November 6, 1998 after a 1 year struggle with a condition called Amyloidosis. Frank was born in Dauphin, Manitoba, he moved to Port Arthur, Ontario (now Thunder Bay) in 1936. In April 1941 he enlisted in the R.C.A.F. and trained as a Pilot. During the war he flew operations on Canada's East Coast, Newfoundland, Labrador and later in the U.K. where he was awarded a (D.F.C.) Distinguished Flying Cross. Discharged October 1945 he enrolled at U.B.C. January 2, 1946, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1948. His entire business career was in Vancouver. He was a past President of the Building Owners & Managers Association of B.C. and was active in Downtown Kiwanis for 30 years and involved in many City and Industry Committees. He was a long time member of The Terminal City Club and The Squamish Valley Golf & Country Club. Survived by his loving wife, Cicely and his 2 sons; Gordon Page Grant of Nanaimo and Patrick Noel Grant of San Diego; daughter-in-law, Christine Graham and his beloved grandaughter Kieren Grant. Friends and family are invited to gather at a memorial service and reception at the West Vancouver United Church at 2062 Esquimalt Avenue, West Vancouver (just North of 21st & Marine Drive) 4:00 pm Friday, November 13th. PERRY - Alan Graham. Born October 29, 1927 in Perth, Scotland passed away in Lions Gate Hospital October 25, 1998. REID - Stephen John. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick on January 19, 1956. Passed away peacefully in North Vancouver on Wednesday, November 11, 1998. Survived by his loving wife Karen Bobb-Reid; his parents Hary and Carole Dhillon, Robichaud, New Brunswick; his daughter Brooke and Ashley and Alexis; brothers Richard (Pam) Reid and Michael Dhillon. MOIR - On Thursday, October 29, 1998 at her home in North Vancouver, Mary Evelyn Moir (nee Hamilton). Born April 15, 1907, in Cypress River, Manitoba. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, John Grant Moir; daughters Margaret (Lary) Dey Custer of Portland, Ore-gon, Ruth (Michael) Belfie, and Lynn (Doug) Campbell, both of Oakville, Ontario; four grandchildren Graham and John Dey, Lisa and Laura Belfie, and one great-grandson, Mike Belfie Quayle. A service was held Tuesday, November 3, at St. David's Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Evelyn's memory to the Salvation Army.

MOSHER - Winnie. Passed away, at the age of 96, quietly in her sleep at Evergreen House. Survived by daughter and son-in-law Lois and Joe; and by grandchildren Ken and Val; Brian and Nancy; Barry, Ramona; Ray and Pat; Ron, Tracey and six great-grandchildren. Special thanks to the nursing staff at Evergreen One North. ROGERS - Harry Jackman. Born in Merritt, B.C. on February 9, 1912. Passed away peacefully in Coquitlam on Sunday, November 1, 1998. Predeceased by his loving wife Janet. Survived by his children, Tom, Donald, Gary and Janis, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his family and friends. WANEK - Louis. Died in North Vancouver, B.C. on October 28, 1998. Born October 13, 1913 in Rochfort Bridge, Alberta. Survived by his sons Dale and Glen (Joan) Wanek and daughter Joanne Boubion (Octavio), nephew Wayne Wanek and niece Elaine Ewashko, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

WATSON - David Wilson. Passed away on October 18, 1998 at Lions Gate Hospital. He was born in Vancouver on December 4, 1918. Dave is lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Ethel; daughter Sue (Doug) Jones and grandchildren of Nanoose Bay, B.C., many relatives and close friends. Dave served in the R.C.A.F. overseas 1942-1945. He had a cartage business in West Vancouver until 1957. He then owned and operated Eagle Harbour Marina until 1969 when it was operated as Eagle Harbour Yacht Club which he managed until 1975. He retired to Bowen Island in 1981. A celebration of his life will be held on November 8 at 1:15 p.m. at Bowen Court, 1070 Miller Road, Bowen Island. YIULE - Lois Anne. Born March 30, 1931 in Montreal, Quebec. Died peacefully on October 31, 1998 in Vancouver, B.C. surrounded by her family. Anne is remembered with much love and will be greatly missed by her three daughters, Paddy Rodney (John), Jody Langlois (Marc), Jennifer Todesco (Jay) and her four grandchildren, Christopher, Shaun, Matthew and Jordon. Over the years Aubrey enjoyed his involvement with the Gizeh Shrine Temple and other Lodges in the Vancouver area. He will be sadly missed by his family and his many good friends. Allan was predeceased by two brothers Bill and Rupert, and two sisters Phyllis and Margaret. He leaves here Iris, his wife of 57 years and three daughters with families of their own. Allan was an independent building contractor and specialized in home renovations. His love of the garden was an excellent hobby as he cared for year round vegetables and shared his abundance. Allan retired to Qualicum Beach taking his hobby with him. He also cares for three foster children. A memorial service will be held at a later date and in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Fund or gardening interest.

CAMPBELL - Gertrude Elizabeth (nee Wilander), age 92, predeceased by her husband Jack, passed away suddenly at Lions Gate Hospital, North Vancouver, October 12, 1998, surrounded by her daughter Joy and son-in-law Geoff, granddaughter Janice and her husband Doug, and her fourteenth great grandchild, baby Lauren Danielle. Gertrude is also lovingly remembered by her son Bruce and daughter-in-law Lottie, their five children and spouses and thirteen grandchildren, and by her nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service was held at Mount Seymour United Church. Interment will be in the Elphinstone Pioneer Cemetery at Gibsons, B.C.

BROWN - Ken H. peacefully on November 5, 1998 at St. Paul's Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born on November 28, 1913 in Millport, Scotland. Will be sadly missed by his loving wife Cora and daughter Anne (Bob), sons Bob (Caroline and Ken (Rejane), seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren. By his sister Mildred and family in Scotland. Ken worked many years at Pacific Press until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of Hollyburn Masonic Lodge #135 for more than fifty years where he served a s Worshipful Master in 1971. Special thanks to the dedicated medical staff at Delta and St. Paul's Hospitals. Service wil be held at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Malrine Drive, West Vancouver, at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 1998. Reception to follow at the West Vancouver Masonic Hall, 1763 Bellevie Avenue. Flowers gratefully declined in favor of donations to a charity of your choice.
