NAHANEE - On June 21, 1997, Roy Andrew Nahanee of North Vancouver, B.C., age 20. Predeceased by grandparents Raymond and Minnie Nahanee and Norma Cecilia Gonzales, and brother Wayne Robert. Survived and will be sadly missed by grandparents Harvey and Nadine Gonzales; parents Robert Nahanee (Judy Bob) and Jaqueline Gonzales (Frank Baker); brothers Peter, Robert James Jr., Phillip and Russell; sisters Norma (Archie), Kim, Michelle, Starla, Latasha and Anastasia; many aunts, uncles, loving relatives and dear friends. Shaker prayers to be held Wednesday, June 25, 1997 at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Robert Nahanee at 320 West 4th Avenue, North Vancouver, B.C. Followed by Funeral Service on Thursday, June 26, 1997 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Indian Catholic Church, 424 West Esplanade, North Vancouver, B.C. Father Dennis Alexander OMI Celebrant. Cremation. OLIVER - William Robert (Bob) on Friday, June 20, 1997 at Lions Gate Hospital. Survived by wife Eileen; daughter Jocelyn Stampfli (Peter); sons Wes (Angie) and Mark (Trena); grandchildren Krystle, Lindsay, Jenna, Karina and Cody; also survived by his sister Margo Oliver-Morgan, Elora, Ontario. Bob served in the R.A.F. and R.C.A.F. in the United Kingdom, India, Ceylon and South Africa during W.W.II. He was well known in the Electrical Industry across Canada before his retirement. Private Interment Service for the family at Capilano View Cemetery, followed by a Memorial Service for friends and family at St. Catherines Anglican Church, 1058 Ridgewood Drive, North Vancouver (near Edgemont Village) on Thursday, June 26, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bob's memory be made to the Canadian Cancer Society for Cancer Research.

OLSEN - Mark Theodore passed away peacefully on June 22, 1997 at Lions Gate Hospital after a valiant fight with brain cancer. Born in Calgary on September 18, 1926. Mark will be missed greatly by his loving wife Elly Boshell; stepchildren Lee and Drew Boshell; brother Eric Olsen; niece Becci Montgomery (Jim); great-nieces Emma and Sara; and friends. A special thank you to all nurses and volunteers at the Lions Gate Palliative Care Ward; Dr. Gray, Dr. Klassen and Dr. Rheaume, who helped make Mark's last few weeks so comfortable. Mark is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Canadian Geotechnical Society, Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C., Wesbrook Society and U.B.C. Alumni Association. Mark, we will miss your warm smile and loving care. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life gathering on Wednesday, June 25th at 4:00 p.m. at West Vancouver Yacht Club. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to B.C. Cancer Agency or Palliative Care at Lions Gate Hospital.

SUTHERLAND - Dorothy, born December 23, 1916, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 18, 1997, in her 81st year. She was a very avid reader and writer, and her thoughts, caring and presence will be very sadly missed by her loving son John and her daughter-in-law Gwen; nieces Gail and Donna; and many caring friends. She was a resident of West Vancouver for 47 years. Predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Jack and her devoted sister, Betty. No memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kinsman Rehabilitation Foundation of B.C., would be very greatly appreciated. Thank you.

GALE - Leonard James passed away peacefully June 23, 1997. Survived by his loving wife Ester, daughter Ester and son-in-law Bob Elson. Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 28, 1997 at the Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lions Gate Hospital Palliative Care Unit.

MACDONALD - Gloria H., much loved wife of Bill and mother of Ross and Iain, suddenly in Lions Gate Hospital on Saturday, June 21, 1997. She will be greatly missed as a longtime friend and companion who thought more about others than herself.

BOSDET - Margaret (Peggy) born on May 21, 1908 in Carlisle, England and a resident of Greater Vancouver since 1912, passed away June 13, 1997 at Lions Gate Hospital. Predeceased by her loving husband Griff and survived by sons John (Barbara) and Peter (Madeleine); sister Sally (Bud); grandchildren Lara, Dianne (Troy), Ian, and Jason; great-grandchildren Samantha and Nicholas; and many much loved nieces and nephews and their children. The family would like to express their particular appreciation to the wonderful nurses, staff and volunteers of the Lions Gate Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Services will be held 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 1997 at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, B.C. Donations to the Palliative Care Unit, in lieu of flowers, would be appreciated.

Frank left this earth on Tuesday, June 10, 1997. He was dearly loved by his wife Elin, stepdaughter Danielle, mother Zora, father Zlatko, brother Michael and his wife Patty, sister Linda Therrien, nephew Troy and niece Michelle. Frank was the most gentle soul this world has experienced, he was as beautiful on the inside as he was on the outside. He was known for his wit, charm and keen sense of humour. His love for music and beauty brought him much happiness. He will always be missed and never forgotten by his family and many friends. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at Lions Gate Hospital. A celebration of Frank's life will be held Thursday, June 19, 1997 11:00 a.m. at Mount Seymour United Church, 1200 Parkgate Avenue, North Vancouver, B.C.

CAYER - Pierre, born June 3, 1940, passed away in Lions Gate Hospital June 14, 1997. Survived by his loving wife Nicole; daughter Pierritte. He will be missed by family and many friends. No flowers by request. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully received. A short celebration of life ceremony will be held at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, B.C. on Saturday, June 21, 1997 at 2:00 p.m.

MARTIN - Avery William. A longtime resident of Vancouver, Avery William Martin passed away June 17, 1997. Born April 17, 1920, Avery was the son of William and Grace Martin, longtime residents of West Vancouver. Avery served in both the Canadian Army and the RCAF. He was a member of the Canadian Legion #118 and of the Canadian Railway Pensioners Association. He served on the board of Highlands United Church.
Mr. Martin retired from the VIA Rail following thirty years of service with CP Rail and VIA Rail as a sleeping car conductor. More recently he was employed by the Park Royal Security until he retired owing to illness. He is survived by his loving wife June; nieces Gail and Joanne; great-niece Carolyn and great-nephews Ryan and Nathan; stepson Brent Smith (Dianne) and grandsons Marc and Daniel, all of Saskatoon. Also very special friends Roy Marsden and Alice.
A memorial service will be held at Highlands United Church, 3255 Edgemont Boulevard, North Vancouver on Monday, June 23, 1997 commencing at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Stroke Recovery Association of B.C., North Shore, would be appreciated.

MILMAN - Margery, born in Brixham, Devonshire, England on February 2, 1904, passed away peacefully at Saturday, June 14, 1997 at Evergreen House, North Vancouver, B.C. Beloved wife of the late Herbert John Milman. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Margot and Brent Baldwin, Melbourne Beach, Florida; granddaughter Sylvia Lee, Palm Bay, Florida; grandson John Milman Baldwin and his wife Susan, Perrysburg, Ohio; great-grandchildren Rachael, Sarah and Greg Baldwin and Branigan Lee. A memorial service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 220 West 8th Street, North Vancouver, B.C. on Friday, June 20, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be be made to St. John the Evangelist Anglicqan Church, North Vancouver.

OJA - Oskar, July 11, 1911 - June 14, 1997. Oskar leaves behind his wife Loreida, Ulo Rumma and Mai Rumma in Canada; nieces Maie Einroos and Salme Riga, with their families in Estonia, as well as several more distant relatives in both countries. A service will be held at St. Peter's Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church at 6520 Oak Street, Vancouver on Friday, June 20 at 11:00 a.m. Last respects may be paid to Oskar at the church before the service. Donations may be made to the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church Foundation, in lieu of flowers. Family requests that expressions of sympathy for the next 3 to 4 weeks be limited to mailed cards. BARBOUR - Howard Owen, born March 17, 1925, passed away in Hospital June 11, 1997. Survived by Mavis, loving wife of 52 years; daughter Nikki (Bill); son Dan (Elaine); four very much loved grandchildren Debbie, Jeff, Sean, and Chandra; and special friends Leslie and Charlie. He will be missed by many friends. No flowers by request. Donations to the B.C. Cancer Society will be gratefully received.
A short "Celebration of Life" ceremony will be held at Barbour Park, 1800 block McGowan, North Vancouver, outdoors (rain or shine, dress appropriately) at 3 o'clock, Monday June 16, 1997.

JOHNSON - Ronald, beloved husband of Mary Therese (nee Terry Boes), passed away peacefully at home on June 12, 1997, after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Sadly missed by his four children, Joe (Sharon), Brian (Barbara), Michelle (Norm) and Nancy; and his eight grandchildren, Jacquie, Cara, Jessica, Jason, Colin, Miranda, Brianne and Natasha.
As a prisoner of war for five months, he returned home a war amp. His disability became a source of inspiration for all who knew him, meeting life's challenges head on, unafraid of taking the responsibilities that confronted him. As a successful business man, he first worked for Electrolux (Canada) Ltd, then opened "Ron's Smoke Shop" in Lynn Valley Mall. He greatly enjoyed meeting people at the store for 12 years until his retirement in 1985.
Prayers will be held on Sunday, June 15th at 7:00 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 27th and Lonsdale, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Missionaries of Charity", Corpus Christi Parish, 6350 Nanaimo, Vancouver, B.C. V5P 4K7.

SHILLCOCK - Colin Darryl passed away on Thursday June 5, 1997. Predeceased by his father Alick on November 24, 1996. He is survived by his loving mother Ruby; sons Jamie and Tyler, daughter January and their mother Yvette; loving companion Myrna; sister Cheryl and nieces Denise and Ellisa; with love and thanks for all the happy times. "You'll truly be missed'. An open house was held at 1290 Mountain Highway, North Vancouver on June 14, 1997. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society.

BROOMHALL - Janet, nee Arthur, died June 1, 1997 at age 90. A long-time North Vancouver resident, she was born in Shanghai, China. She is survived by three sons Arthur (Barbara), Norman (Sylvia) and Peter (Sherry); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and brother George Arthur. She was predeceased by her long-time friend and companion Joan Pugh, and by a brother Bob Arthur. By request, no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to Lions Gate Hospital.

HARRISON-EKE - William passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital on June 4, 1997. William was predeceased by his wife Marie in 1993. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 12, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church, 595 Keith Road, West Vancouver, B.C. with Father Tim McCarthy. No flowers by request.

MURRAY - Eric Charles peacefully in his 82nd year on May 29, 1997. Devoted, loving and kind father, grandfather, and husband to his late wife Aase. Eric is forever missed by his daughters Marilyn and Michelle; sons-in-law Bob and Shaun; granddaughters Shay and Lex, and grandson Jack. Eric is also fondly remembered by his many friends and relatives. Service and celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, June 3 at 12 p.m. at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated
