LEFEBURE - Denny. Passed away suddenly July 10, 1999. Will be lovingly remembered by his family, wife Sharon, daughter Michele, son Cary and granddaughter Bryanna, as well as his brothers Phil (Pauline), Vern (Helen) and sisters Norma, Rita (Pat) and his nieces, nephew as well as other family and many friends. Memorial service Tuesday July 20, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. First Memorial, 1505 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver.

DOUGLAS - Earl Thomas. Passed away July 20, 1999 in his 84th year after a valiant 51/2 year struggle following a stroke. Born December 18, 1914 in Cochrane, Ontario. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 52 years Betty, his son Earl (Sharon) and daughter Janice (Art Doyle) and his three adored grandsons Patrick, Cameron and Clayton. Also his best friend and brother-in-law Wearn Cox (Marge) and one remaining sister Norma of Powell River. During WWII, Earl served with the Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. After the war he became very active with the War Amps of Canada becoming past president of the Vancouver branch. Before retiring, Earl worked 30 years for the Pacific Pilotage Authority. In later years, Earl developed a passion for the game of golf, which gave him many new friends and experiences. He will be fondly remembered by all that knew him. The Douglas family would like to thank all staff of Evergreen House 3 South for their superb dedication and support. A private service by request. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Douglas residence on Adderley Street, Tuesday, July 27 at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation would be appreciated

SCOTT - Agnes Muir "Nan" born November 30, 1902, passed away surrounded by family July 20, 1999. Predeceased by husband Thomas (1973). She is lovingly remembered by son Robert (Doris), nephew David, grandchildren Terry, Susan, great-grandchildren Patrick, Jason, Kelly, Graeme, Krystel and other relatives and friends who will always remember Nan as an avid walker of the West Vancouver seawall.
A memorial service to be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, July 24, 1999 at the new Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver.

HARDY - Stan (1914-1999). Passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 1999. He leaves his wife Joan, daughter Linda McGregor, son-in-law Joe, niece Joyce Howitt, and one nephew Gordon Spicer. Stan died peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital. Many thanks to all the nurses and care people that looked after him, they were so good. Also, many thanks to Dr. Eng who attended him. HILTON - Molly Marie (nee Gilmore). Born November 14, 1921 in Lethbridge, Alberta. Died peacefully with her family by her side at her home in North Vancouver on July 18, 1999. Molly was married for 25 years to Gerry Hilton until his death in 1972. She had a wonderful loving relationship with Tiny, her lovebird, who died recently. She is survived by her brothers John and Paul; four children John, Dennis, Jo-Anne and David; and five grandchildren Stephanie, Laura, Rachel, Kelsey and Sarah. Molly lived in North Vancouver for most of her life and graduated from St. Paul's School of Nursing in 1944. Molly retired as a respected and valued registered nurse after many years at Lions Gate Hospital. If you wish, donations in lieu of flowers are to be forwarded to the Health Care Research Foundation, PO Box 86639, North Vancouver. V7L 4L2 (604) 267-7031. MASON - Mary Bernice. June 17, 1917 - July 19, 1999. She is survived by her son Forbes (Joanne). Predeceased by her son Robert and husband Bob. Also survived by nieces Debby, Norma Jean, Leslie and Jeanne; nephews Stephen, Ronald and Stewart; grandchildren, Kristy and Jason. Mary was a longtime resident of West Vancouver and a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver. Mary requested, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Robert F. Mason Scholarship Memorial Fund, University of Hawaii, School of Travel Industry Management, Honolulu, Hawaii.

SAELY - Hans. Born March 15, 1948. Passed away suddenly July 20, 1999. Hans is survived by his loving wife Marjorie, children Analise and Matthew, sister Lotte (Hubert) Schnegg and family, as well as relatives in Austria. Long term service manager at Jim Pattison Toyota, he was a loving husband and father who devoted many hours to community activities and sports. Prayer service 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 25, 1999 at St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church, 1360 East 24th St, North Vancouver. WOODMAN - Neil A. Born April 12, 1949 in Vancouver. Passed away June 1998 while hiking in Lynn Canyon Park. Survived by his wife Eleanor, daughter Celeste, son Kevin, sister Sherrol, cousins Juanita, Janet, and John. As well as other family and friends. ECCLES - Phil. Born April 8, 1912. Passed away July 11, 1999. Survived by Vivien, Robin and Vicki, sister Kathleen, sister-in-law Joan, grandson Jesse and great-granddaughter Taysha. EVOY - Maria "Myra". Passed away peacefully July 11, 1999. Aged 85 years. Predeceased by husbands William and Gordon. Survived by sister Winnifred; children Rod (Gloria), Maureen (Norm); grandchildren Greg, Ross, Angeline and Keith; several great-grandchildren; and many friends. STEVENSON - Mary
Promoted to Glory.
Beloved wife of James Stevenson. Passed away peacefully on Friday, July 9, 1999 at Lions Gate Hospital. Mary was born in Paisley, Scotland on November 22, 1908. She will always be loved and remembered by all those whose lives she touched. Left to mourn her, husband James; son Jim (Margaret); daughter May (Ian); grandchildren, Craig, Elaine, Jim (Morag) and Richard; great-grandchildren Ryan, Nicole, Mandy and Rachel. Donations can be made to the Salvation Army.

KEELER - Randy William. Born on October 17, 1958. Beloved husband of Pennie, devoted father of Cameron and Tanner, was taken from us suddenly on Friday July 9, 1999. He will be deeply missed by his Mom and Dad, Al and Eunice; brothers, Dan and Wade and their families. He will be fondly remembered by Rose, Dawn, Gayle and Tom Williamson and their families. In a short time he touched many lives with his compassion and infectious personality. He leaves behind scores of friends and a large extended family. We will miss you and never forget you. Memorial service on Thursday, July 15, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. in the Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd., North Vancouver. WYLIE - Elmer. Born in Vancouver, November 11, 1911. Passed away peacefully of cancer on July 12, 1999. Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, August 1998, and by a younger brother James. Survived by his older brother Norman (Isobel). He leaves his children: Karen (Dave), Marilynne (Bob), Bill and Steve. He had 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family greatly appreciates the care given to Dad by the staff and volunteers of Palliative Care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Palliative Care, Lions Gate Hospital or a charity of your choice. No service by request. SUNSTRUM - Gordon. June 14, 1923 - July 10, 1999. After a brief illness, at Lions Gate Hospital. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Amy; sons Carl and Don (Linda); daughters Ann Reynolds (Don), Gail Kirby and Jeannie Thompson (Colin); grandchildren Carleigh, Julie, Crystal, Carrie, Caleb, Jennifer, Ryan, Sean, Derek, Warren and Kelsey; sister "Sunny" Georgine Oliver; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Memorial service on Wednesday, July 14, 1999 at 12:00 noon in the "New" Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd, North Vancouver. Cremation. Flowers gratefully declined in favour of memorial contributions to the Lions Gate Palliative Care Ward 7 West.

THOMSON - Dorothy (Dot). Born March 5, 1927. Passed away peacefully July 11, 1999. Predeceased by her parents Bert and Herman and her daughter Kathy. Survived by her remaining children Karyl (Les), Kelli (Barry), Rick (Andrea), and Lisa (Lance), eight grandchildren and her great-grandson. She will always be remembered and dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched. No service by request. A gathering for friends and family will be held at a later date at her daughter's home.
