HANCOCK - Ralph A. Born December 11, 1919. Passed away May 27, 1999, at Langley Memorial Hospital of heart failure, with his family by his side. Ralph is mourned by his wife, of 51 years, Dodie; his daughters Pamela, Penny (John), Sandi (Rick); beloved Papa to Suzie, Nathan, Celise and Adrian. There is no service by request. Cremation. In lieu of flowers a donation to the B.C. Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

TOWNS - Alvah Barker. Age 99. Passed away peacefully on June 13, 1999. Survived by his loving wife Haydee; son Terry (Annee); grandchildren Terry, Johanna, Bill and Hulda. Great-grandchildren: Emmett, Samy and Willy. Nephew William and niece Berenice of California, as well as many friends and relatives. Predeceased by his wife Grace of fifty-four years and sister Gladys. Memorial Services to be held at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, on Saturday, June 19, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

WILLIAMS - On June 16, 1999. Doris Jacquline Williams of North Vancouver. Age 80 years. Survived and sadly missed by her loving family and many dear friends. She is a member of the Squamish Nation. Prayers will be offered Friday, June 18, 1999 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, North Vancouver at 7:30 p.m. followed by Funeral Mass, also at St. Paul's, Saturday, June 19, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. Father Dennis Alexander O.M.I. Celebrant. Interment Mission Reserve Cemetery. Hinds Funeral Services in care of
arrangements.

GORDON - Bruce MacMillan. Born at Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, June 25, 1915. Suffered a stroke on May 28, and passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital on June 3, 1999 with family at his side. Survived by his loving wife of 56 years Dorothy, brother Stuart (Olive); sons Bruce Jr.; Huntly (Grace); daughter Pamela Dalik (Don); grandchildren Elizabeth, Andrew and Graham. Bruce attended high school in London, Ontario. He graduated from the University of British Columbia in Commerce, Class of 1938. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity whose members were life long friends. Bruce served his country well both at peace and at war. He saw active service in Italy, France, Belgium and the Netherlands with the Canadian Artillery. In business Bruce followed his father Willard Cameron Gordon into the insurance industry. He provided his support to a number of worthwhile British Columbia initiatives. He was proud to have been an enthusiastic supporter and an original shareholder of the Garibaldi Lift Company. Bruce enjoyed a long retirement pursuing, with his family and friends, his hobbies and interests as an avid skier, boater, fisherman, outdoors man and traveller. He skied both in the Coast range and the Rockies, and in the Alps. He handled his own sailing vessel both on the British Columbia Coast and in the Mediterranean well into his 70's. Italy was his favourite destination where he enjoyed the culture, skiing and sailing. He was always such an enthusiastic companion and we will miss him terribly. Bruce will be buried at a private family service at Capilano View Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, 3811 Point Gray Road, Vancouver, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday June 11, 1999.

HEASLIP - Eileen M. "Slipit" (nee Blair). Born Vancouver, B.C., December 31, 1902. Joined the Angels in her 97th year, June 4, 1999 at West Vancouver Care Centre. Predeceased by husband Debb (1975). Sixty year resident of West Vancouver, she will always be in the hearts of her family and friends and remembered for her quick wit and loving Irish personality. Loved her garden, and watching the cruise ships from her special chair. Survived by daughter Norma Hastings, granddaughters Laurie Hastings of Seattle, Wa., Lynn Hardingham (Ken) and great-grandsons Ross and Todd all of Australia, nieces Maureen, Matheson (son Drew), Elaine Davies, Marion Worden (Edward), Arlene Angell (Doug), nephews Tommy Blair (Jessie), Lacon Blair, Blair Coulter (Margaret), Jack Heaslip, and Bob Heaslip (Dorothy). GREENSPOON - ANNE (nee Bellman) of North Vancouver, formerly of Montreal. Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 9, 1999 at age 87. Beloved wife of the late Dave Greenspoon. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Arthur, Stanley and Ellen Greenspoon. Cherished grandmother of David and Philip. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family thanks her doctors and the nursing staff of 2 East at Lions Gate Hospital for their wonderful care and sensitivity. Funeral service and burial were at Schara Tzedeck Cemetery on Friday, June 11. Shiva at 3193 Hoskins Road. North Vancouver.

LOW - Elisabeth (Bep) Regina of Sechelt and formerly of North Vancouver. Passed away in St Paul's Hospital, June 9, 1999. Predeceased by her husband Rev. John H. Low in 1985. Survived by her daughter Penny, her granddaughters, Rosemary (Geoff) and Shasha and great-grandson Benjamin; by her son Robert and his children Jessica and Steven; and by her son John (Teruko) and his children Maia and Michael. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 16, 1999 at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of St Peter and St. Paul, 4580 Walden St, Vancouver (1 block east of Main and 30th Ave).

CRAIG - Judith Lee (nee Johnson). Suddenly in a car accident May 30, 1999 in Vanderhoof. Beloved daughter of Frank Johnson of Penticton and Lois Johnson of North Vancouver. Survived by husband Michael Craig of Vanderhoof and son Franklyn, daughter Robin of Prince George, and brother Ron Johnson of Kelowna. Services in Vanderhoof.

FAGAN - Ann Coubrough. Passed away May 29, 1999 in her garden, doing what she liked best, gardening. She will be missed by her daughter Sharron Cant; her grandchildren, Heidi and Tyler; her great-grandchildren; family and friends; and her partner Gordon McCann. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 4, 1999 at St. David's United Church, 1525 Taylor Way, West Vancouver. No flowers by request.

PRICE - James Vincent. Passed away May 27, 1999. He was born May 7, 1919 in Hamilton, Ont. He flew as a Navigator Officer in the RCAF (1941-1945) in the European theater. After the war, his career took him to the United States. He was employed by Kemper Insurance until his health disability in 1979. After becoming disabled, he returned home to Canada. Jim was an active member of the Canadian Legion Branch #60, The North Shore Air Crew Association, Air Force Officer Association, a charter member of the Senior Tennis Association and the West Vancouver Senior Centre. He was predeceased by his brother Private Daniel Miller Price, his first wife Dorothy Price and his second Elvire Price. He is survived by two sons Clayton Miller Wilson of Vancouver, James Vincent Price II of Corpus Christi, Texas; one daughter Mary Elizabeth Levy, Austin, Texas. He had nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, 1999 in the West Vancouver Legion Hall, 580-18th Street. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of choice

MURPHY - Maureen Helen (nee Gardner). Passed away peacefully at home, May 28, 1999, with her twins Jamie and Michelle at her side. Maureen will be lovingly remembered as a devoted mother, compassionate nurse, respected colleague and a caring and loyal friend. Throughout her life Maureen remained most comfortable when she was giving of herself rather than receiving from others. In her heart she always maintained a very special fondness for animals and the beauty of nature. She will be sadly missed by her brothers Billy (Jackie, Allison and Michael), and Bobby (Joy, Lindsay and Billy). The family wishes to thank Dr. Ian Morgan, Dr. Paul Klimo and the staff at Lions Gate Hospital. A special thanks to Diane and Carol for their love and support and to her friends and colleagues from P.A.R. who nursed Maureen and provided support to the family during their time of need. A funeral mass will be held Friday, June 4, 1999, at St. Paul's Indian Church, 424 West Esplanade, North Vancouver at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. or the Chemo Dept at Lions Gate Hospital.

O'LEARY - Mary Lynn (nee McIntyre). Her breath returned to her Creator sundown May 28, 1999. She breathed her first on June 7, 1917. She leaves her devoted and beloved husband, Edward William (Ted) of 59 years, daughter Maureen (O'Leary) Cameron, son-in-law Bill Cameron, granddaughters Lara and Jessica (Frank) Underhill. Her life was a service to God, her family and all who knew her. She sang God's praises in the St. Augustine's choir in the 1950's and 60's and then in the Horseshoe Bay Christian Fel-lowship and Normandy Hospital. She worked at Eaton's for 25 years and opened the Men's Furnishing Department at Eaton's Park Royal in 1962. Thanks to the staff at West Van Care Centre who have lovingly cared for Mary these last 4 years. A memorial service and reception will be held Friday, June 4, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at the Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. Donations to H.B.C. Fellowship, 6355 Bruce St, West Vancouver, B.C. V7W 2G5.

KRAWCHUK - Robert John. Passed away May 29, 1999 at Lions Gate Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Lovingly remembered by his partner Sandy; sister Linda (Tom) Cochrane; nieces Tracy and Christine; uncle Paul (Iris); aunt Doreen; cousins Michael, Daniel, Tom and John. Predeceased by his mother Rita, father Joseph, step-mother Helen, uncle Michael, aunt Jean, grandparents John and Doris.

LEGROS - George William. Passed away at the Lions Gate Hospital on May 31, 1999 at the age of 88 years. Predeceased by his wife Ilo in 1981, brother Vic and sister Kay. Survived by his son Don (Mina) of Stewart B.C., 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, nephews Larry and Frank, brother-in-law Lloyd Kendrick, sister-in-law Rita Boyce. STEWART - Patrick David.
Passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife at his side on June 1, 1999, aged 75 years. Patrick will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife Kathleen, who thanks God for their 46 years of happiness together, children Barbara (Mario) DiLucca, Donald (Sandra) and five beautiful granddaughters: Andrea, Carmen, Megan, Dana and Erin; brother Andrew (Stella) and many other relatives in England. Patrick made his home in North Vancouver for 43 years. The family thanks friends for their faithful support over the past four years. Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 7, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Anglican Church, 195 East Windsor Rd, North Vancouver. He is survived by his loving family: wife Mary; children Adriane, Mickey (Shannon), Karl and Patrick; grandchildren Joel and Ashley; four sisters Rosemary, Mary, Veronica and Monica; five brothers Rene, Peter, Karl, Ramon, Ronald; nieces and nephews. CLIFF - Margaret Jean (nee Paterson). Passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital on Sunday, May 16, 1999. Dearly beloved wife of Edison and mother of Jennifer Biro (Dan) and Kevin Cliff. Devoted grandmother to Amanda Jean and Stephan Biro. Jean is also survived by her brothers Maurice (Marty) and Tom (Valerie) and sister Marilyn all of Ontario. Sister-in-law to Inez of Vancouver and Marion, Ardith and Wayne of New Brunswick. Predeceased by sisters-in-law Glenna of New Brunswick and Eileen of Vancouver. Memorial Service to be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 20, 1999 at Mt. Seymour United Church, 1200 Parkgate Avenue, North Vancouver. YOUNG - Bruce (Thomas Watson). Born Glasgow, Scotland, July 29, 1931. Died peacefully, surrounded by family, on May 17, 1999. He will definitely be remembered by his children; Heather (Ken), Tom (Christy), Jenny (James), Sheila (Ian) and John, their children; and the many whose lives he touched. We invite those who wish to join us for a gathering on Friday, May 21, 1999, 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at 2012 Dollarton Highway, North Vancouver. BATT - Madeleine Rosa. Passed away at Evergreen House in North Vancouver on May 15, 1999 at 86 years of age.
