MacKINNON, Frances Georgina. Passed away at Lions Gate Hospital Palliative Care Unit on June 6, 2000 at the age of 81 years. Frances will be lovingly remembered by Diane (Larry) Kozoris and children Janet (Daryl) and Jeffrey (Tammy); Rick (Diane) Maynard and children Robin and James; David (Joanne) Maynard and children Sarah, Nicole and Bayley; Penny (Bob) Barry and daughter Samantha; John (Carolyn) MacKinnon and children Reggie and Laurie; Dick (Mary) MacKinnon and children Christine, Michael and Peter; as well as her sister Mary Lane of Riverview, N.B.; and many nieces and nephews. She shall be missed by many friends across the country and beyond. She is predeceased by her first husband James Herman Maynard in 1958 and second husband John Alexander MacKinnon in 1973. Frances moved to North Vancouver from N.B. in 1962 and worked with the Certified General Accountants from 1962-1971, Crest Realty, and was involved with St. Catherine's Anglican Church. Memorial service will be held at St. Catherine's Anglican Church, 1058 Ridgewood Ave, North Vancouver on Tuesday, June 13, 2000 at 2:00 pm with Rev. John Mash officiating. DULMAGE, Muriel Leslie. Born in Frederickton, N.B. on March 15, 1909. Passed away peacefully at home in North Vancouver on Friday, June 2, 2000. Predeceased by her loving husband William. Survived by her daughter Donna Dulmage; grandchildren Jennifer, Michael and Brian; her sister Audrey Hastings and sister-in-law Hilda Logsdail. Lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Muriel was a member of the Seymour Golf and Country Club for 25 years. Cremation. No service by request. FIRST MEMORIAL 980-3451

WALSOFF, Philip James. Born October 1, 1932 in Grand Forks. Oldest of 3 children, Phil spent his early years in Rossland and Kamloops. He attended the Radio College of Canada in Toronto where he received his radio license. In 1955, he met and married his wife, Phyl, and moved to North Vancouver. He was a wonderful father to 2 children, David (Jennifer) and Linda. A loving grandfather to 3 grandchildren Joel, Jamie and Eric. Phil spent 25 years with Wosk's, 19 years with Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and volunteered with the R.C.M.P. Auxiliary Program for over 30 years. Phil will be sadly missed by his family, relatives, many friends and pets. No service by request in Lieu of flowers donations to charity of choice.

BURT, Ian James Uniacke. Beloved son of Judy and Dennis, brother to Darcy, passed away suddenly at home on June 2, 2000. Ian was born on July 7, 1983 in Victoria, B.C. He was a student of Ross Road School and Argyle Secondary. Ian had an amazing, uncanny ability with old and new technology. He was an avid computer enthusiast. Ian had a quiet, wonderful sense of humour and thoughtfully watched life go by as an observer. He enjoyed life despite his handicap. He will be fondly remembered by his Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Colin; Aunt Janice and Uncle Jamie, cousins Jessica and Kyle; Aunt Molly; Aunt Di and Uncle Rolly; Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Norman, cousins Darryl, Gerald and Jennifer; Aunt Barb, cousins Greg, Mike and Cynthia; Aunt Betty and Uncle Roger. And very special friends, Leslie and Steve, Kate, Sarah and Rob. Memorial Service to be held Saturday, June 10, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at The Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, Reverend Eric Stephanson, Chaplain Canuck Place, officiating. We would like to thank the staff at B.C. Children's Hospital and Canuck Place for the wonderful care and attention that Ian received. Thanks to Dr. D. Langely, Anne Bergstrom, Carole King, Cindy B. and Brigette. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canuck Place or B.C. Children's Hospital will be greatly appreciated. LUNDGARD, Anna Josephine 1910-2000. Passed away June 1, 2000. She leaves two daughters, Gladys Irlam of Ontario and Colleen Arnold of North Vancouver, B.C., son-in-law Robert Irlam, grandsons Stephen and Michael Irlam, sister Aisli of Finland and nieces and nephews in Finland. No service or flowers by request.

DICK, Mary. Died peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2000, in her 99th year. The only child of Vancouver pioneers Robert and Rose (nee Darragh) Cosgrove of County Antrim, Ireland. Mary was predeceased by her husband Robert Anderson Dick, who was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. She is survived by: son Robert Cosgrove Dick (Stella), granddaughters Margarita Mary Dick and Louisa Julia Dick of North Vancouver; son Dr. Kenneth Anderson Dick (Sharon) of Maryland, granddaughter Heather Lynn Queener (Eugene) and great-granddaughters Alexandra Leigh Queener and Jamie Elizabeth Queener of Texas; grandson Craig Cosgrove Dick of Arizona. Cremation will be followed by a private burial in Mountain View Cemetery. An afternoon tea will be held in Mary's memory at Kiwanis Care Centre, 2444 Burr Place, North Vancouver on Monday, June 12 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m., to which friends and KCC staff are invited. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. The family expresses heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Kiwanis Care Centre for the care and loving attention which they gave to Mary during the past five years.

HARVEY - William "Bill". Born December 27, 1905 in London, England. Passed away peacefully at Lynn Valley Private Hospital on June 7, 2000. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Marjorie, in 1989. William will be sadly missed by his sons Tony (Rosetta) and John (Charmaine); grandchildren Jeff (Candy), Susan (Walt) and Rebecca; great-grandchildren Dustyn, Brianna and Travis; as well as many friends. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Hollyburn Funeral Home, 1807 Marine Drive, West Vancouver on Monday, June 12, 2000 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm. DEARDEN, Eunice Annie of West Vancouver, B.C. Passed away on May 30, 2000 at Lions Gate Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Eunice was born November 8, 1930 in Wales, U.K. She is deeply missed by her husband Dennis and sons Michael, Martin and Barry and their families, and her family members in Britain. A small service will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2000 at 12:00 noon at The Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, B.C.

COWAN - Louise Elizabeth. Born in Pontypryd, Wales on August 28, 1908. Passed away June 9, 2000 in her 92nd year. She leaves one daughter Samantha Srigley of Lions Bay, son-in-law Bill and grandsons Brooks, Cody and Dakota and granddaughter Brandi; son Bill Marshall from Quesnel and sister Ethel Dee from Mount Forest, Ontario. GONE No more are the times we laughed and cried, My memories are still vivid, They took you away from me way too soon. I thought you would last a life time, The pain is so bad I can barely cope, You were my strength at times, everywhere I go, I see you, When the winds blow I hear your voice. I never realized how beautiful the trees were, At night I see the glistening stars I know one of them must be you, Yes!! The brightest one, it will last forever. I'll love you always. Samantha

JOHNSON - Leslie Noel, December 25, 1924 to June 12, 2000. It is with great sadness we must announce the passing of Leslie "Les" Johnson. A long time resident of North Vancouver, he leaves behind his wife of 55 years Violet, two daughters Lee (Dan) and Linda (Ken); grandsons Wayne, Gordon, Ryan, Sheldon, Curtis and Noel, Also one surviving brother Reg and many other family and friends. He was well known in the bakery business. He was also an active member of the Norwest Seniors Curling Club and North Van Lawn Bowling Club until recently when his cancer prevented him from continuing. Please join his family for a celebration of his life at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2000 at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. MOYLE - Barbara Ryland of West Vancouver. Born February 18, 1924 in Birmingham, England. Passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital, June 10, 2000. Survived by her children Lesley Barbara Moyle and John Robert Moyle. Our gracious and gentle Ma will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by Dr. Young, her extended family Robin, Laszlo, Bryan, Leslie, Andrew and her many loving friends. In keeping with her wishes a tea was held Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2000 at her home.

MCNISH - Elizabeth A. (Betty) Peacefully, on June 11, 2000, at the North Shore Private Hospital. She is survived by her sons, David Hinks of North Vancouver, Larry McNish and 3 grandchildren of Calgary and sister Nancy Perrin of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her two husbands, C. David Hinks and M.A. McNish and her son Bruce McNish and by her brother Don McKay of North Vancouver and sister Eleanor Emmett of Winnipeg. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. At her request, rather than a service, a farewell party will be held the afternoon of June 25, 2000; family and friends will be contacted as to time and place.

DEMERS - Joseph Paul. Born in Verwood, Saskatchewan on January 31, 1915. Passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital, New Westminster on Thursday June 15, 2000. Predeceased by his loving wife Bernice. Survived by his daughters, Mary Loretta Chaffee (Navarro), Catherine Louise Draper (Steve Large), Theresa Bonnie Jean Demers, Judy Girden (Al), Ann Luongo (Peter); sons, Bernie Whalen (Bernetta), Eugene Paul Demers (Gail) and Joseph Edward Demers (Deborah); 26 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; his sisters Shirley England; his brothers, George Demers, Bob Demers (Wynn) and Buck Longmere. Predeceased by his sister, Meriam Longmere; brothers Joe and Roy Demers and Gerry Longmere. Lovingly remembered by his namesake, Paula Cramp (Nee, Demers), and by his family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St.Edmunds Catholic Church, 545 Mahon Avenue, North Vancouver (Date and Time to be Confirmed). Interment, Ocean View Burial Park. CARR -Dorothy .Passed away peacefully at the Inglewood Lodge in West Vancouver on Thursday, June 15, 2000, two days before her 100th birthday, with her daughter Rosemary at her side. Mrs. Carr has been a North Shore resident since about 1906 and spent the last 15 years at Inglewood Lodge. The family is very appreciative of the staff at the lodge for the excellent care they gave to Dorothy. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Rosemary and Leo Marks of Victoria, daughter Lillian LeDoux of Victoria and her son H.E. (Ed) Carr of Abbotsford; grandchildren Kathy McPhail, Paddy Mann, Tim Marks, Marilyn Nielsen, David Osborne, Danny Osborne, Chris Osborne, Mark Osborne, Liz Allert and Chris Hildebrandt; as well as many great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, B.C. Interment to follow in Maclure Road Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. WILSON - Nathley Ileen. Born December 24, 1916 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Passed away June 9, 2000 in North Vancouver, B.C. Predeceased by her husband Roy in 1962. Survived by her sons Leslie and wife Linda, Ervin and wife Vi, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2000 at Rosedale Cemetery, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

MARTELL - Colin. Longtime resident of North Vancouver, B.C. Passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital on June 12, 2000. Colin will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rosemary, sons Floyd and Leagh, daughter-in-law Carol, grandchildren Michael, Ronaye, Brian, Dena, sister-in-law Jesse, two great-grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Anne Marie, sisters Roberta (Bob) and Jessie (Dave) and many nieces, nephews and good friends. A service was held on June 13, 2000 at The Boal Chapel in North Vancouver. In lieu of flowers donations to Heart &Stroke Research would be appreciated.
