COLEMAN - Marcia Ruth.

Born February 6, 1917 in Calgary, Alberta passed away suddenly due to a tragic accident on April 17, 2003. Marcia was predeceased by her husband Charlie in 1991 and is lovingly remembered by her daughter Dot (Terry) Buckoll, her son Ron (Bernice) Coleman, grandchildren Erin, Teresa (Stan), Gary, Christine (Thomas) and Chad (Kim) as well as sisters Nona Slater and Loraine Burdett. In 1949, Marcie and her husband, Charlie, founded what was to become North Shore Plumbing and Heating Co. Ltd. Marcia was also one of the founding members of the North Shore Business and Professional Women's Club and sat on the boards of many local organizations. Marcie's community involvement continued throughout her life with the focus moving in recent years to various senior citizens' groups. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrews United Church, 1044 St. Georges Avenue, North Vancouver on Thursday, April 24, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lions Gate Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. PAULSON - Allan John.

Passed away April 19, 2003 in Delta, B.C. Predeceased by his sister Judy. Survived by his loving family, wife May; daughters Cheryl, Donna, and Christel; sons Mike and Allen Jr.; nine grandchildren; mother Jorunn; brother Dennis; sister Carol; relatives and friends. FRASER HEIGHTS 604-589-2559

RASMUSSEN - Svend Aarge.

Suddenly on April 13, 2003 at 83 years of age. Born in Arhus, Denmark. As a young man crewed on ships and travelled the world. Served in the Canadian Armed Forces and spent his career in the Forestry Industry. Survived by his long time companion Tina Zmaeff; 2 step-daughters Connie Noe (Paul) and Shive Marshall (Jim); four grandchildren, Jay (Kathie), Sandra (Michael), Teresa (Tam) and Roux-Anne (Stephan); six great grandchildren, Danya, Takoda, Heather, Tyler, Sean, and Chaetonn. Svend's generous heart and compassion will be sadly missed by all. Private family service to be held on May 23, 2003. Interment at Boundary Bay Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society will be appreciated.
We regret to announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother Anna Marie Cassivi on April 19, 2003. Anna will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren and many friends. Anna has been reunited with her husband Howard who passed away in 1999. Service to be held April 26th 2003 @ 10:00am, Burquitlam Funeral Home. ALLEN - Orval Frederick

Passed away in Langley, BC on February 22, 2004 at age 88 years. He is predeceased by his wife Anna. Survived by his children; Gail (Doug), George (Myra), Cheryl (Gerry), Les (Cathly), Doug (Sylvia), Kelly (Ron) and Mike, one brother; Stan (Marie), and one sister; Shirley (Bud), also by eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. SCHNEIDER - Neil Richard Schneider

passed away suddenly in Langley, BC on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the age of 39 years, doing what he loved. Neil will be lovingly remembered by his love Judi; his children Chad, Melissa and Katrina, their mother Judy, and his grandchildren; parents Lorna Thomson and Harold (Carol) Schneider; brothers and sisters Dennis (Carol), Randy, Merrill, Ted, Kem (Cory) and Karyn (Tony); grandmother Louise Van Unen; his aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 27, 2004 at 11 am at Mission Alliance Church, 34203 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission, BC, with interment to follow at Langley Lawn Cemetery. In memory of Neil's love for life, donations may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation. Donation envelopes will be available at the service. HATT - Kristine Rosalyn

Kristy was born May 21, 1985 in Chilliwack, B.C. passed away suddenly on February 22, 2004 in a tragic car accident. Kristy is survived by her parents, Richard and Karen Hatt, her brothers Jeremy and Ryan, her sister, as well as best friend Amy, her grandparents, John and Joyce Amundsen, Ida Hatt and great-grandmother, Myrtle Coleman. She will, also, be so sadly missed by Auntie Susan, Auntie Doris, Uncle Roland, Auntie Liz, Uncle Larry, Auntie Diane, and her precious cousins, Alicia, Nicola, Michelle, Laurissa, and Jasmine, her godparents Lindsay Harrison and Steve Reeves, as well as so many, many friends. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Walter Hatt and her great-grandmother, Kay Amundsen. Kristy, a 2003 Honor Roll graduate of Agassiz Secondary School, was traveling back to Kelowna, where she was studying nursing at OUC when she was taken from us. Kristy loved water and was a member of the Aggassiz-Harrison Aquanauts Swim Club for fourteen years, where she coached for two years and a member of the OUC rowing club. She worked as a lifeguard at the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Center and at the Ferny Coombe Pool in Agassiz. Kristy grew up on the family dairy farm in Agassiz and loved to be out in the barn with the animals and especially her dogs. She will be forever remembered for her shining smile and the way she lit up the room when she entered. Kristy was gentle, kind and loved by everyone she met. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27th, at 1 P.M. at the Agassiz Secondary School Gym. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Kristy Hatt Memorial Scholarship fund at the Prospera Credit Union, Agassiz. Kristy, we love you so much. Thank you for sharing those wonderful eighteen years with all of us. We hold on the every cherished moment of every second spent with you.

REMPEL - Cornelius ("Cork")

Beloved husband, dad and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home into the arms of his Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2004 after a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. He was born in Osborne, Manitoba on May 19, 1935 to John and Susanna Rempel. He moved to Chilliwack with his family as a youth. After growing up and working on the family farm, Cork went logging. After attending vocational school in Nanaimo, he began his career as an automotive electrician for Delisle Electric/Auto Marine Electric, where he worked for many years. During this time, he met and married Carol Voth (May 16, 1961). Cork then worked at Chilliwack Ready-Mix, Finning, Lineham Logging, Cheam Contracting, and most recently, Hope Ready-Mix as a heavy duty mechanic. ThrougHout his career, he was known for his integrity, and as an honest and conscientious worker. On the home front, Cork was continuously creating or recycling one project or another, from restoring motorcycles to lawnmowers to sawmills to manufacturing cement block forms to hand-made gifts for grandchildren to manual mole control. All projects were carried out with great determination, patience and pride. He is survived by his siblings, Henry (Kay), Helen Ottom (Joe), John (Elsie), Bill (Kay), Peter (Betty) and Jake (JoAnne); wife, soul mate and best friend Carol, sons Ramone (Laurie) and Todd (Karen), and grandchildren Linden and Braden, Cole and Carmen. Cork is predeceased by his father John (1976), mother Susanna (2001), brother, George (1975) for their loving and compassionate care over the past 18 months. Thanks also to Brenda from BC Bio, the pharmacy staff at Shoppers Drug Mart, Home Care Nurses, Emergency and Ambulatory Care nurses and Home Support Staff for their kindhearted physical and emotional support. MAZEPA - Evelyn E.

died on February 23rd, 2004, at age 73 as a result of a stroke. A positive independent lady with a great sense of humour, Evelyn was a pleasure to know and love. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Walter and is survived by her daughter Patty, her son-in-law Kevin Smith and her brother Leo Headington. A memorial tea will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 29th at Cottonwood Senior's Club at Gate 3 7610 Evans Road, Sardis BC. If preferred, donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to your charity of choice.

GAVIN - Howlan "Howlie" Joseph

Born February 12, 1960 in P.E.I., passed away on Friday, February 20, 2004. Howlie was raised in Tignish, P.E.I. and came to B.C. in his twenties. He is survived by his long-time partner Mary-Ann, his two sons, Hayden and Keagan, his mother, Mary, and eight siblings. Howlie was predeceased by his father Claude and two brothers. Howlie was known for his big heart. He will be remembered for his selflessness, his love of music and his seafood chowder, but the most important thing to him was to be the best father possible for his two beloved sons. His passing leaves a huge void in the lives of many people. Words cannot describe how much he will be missed. Friends are welcome to join us in a Celebration of Howlie's life on February 28, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at 4234 Townline Road, Abbotsford. Bring your musical instrument. Born March 18, 1908 in Dora, Alberta passed away peacefully February 21, 2004 at home in Burnaby. Predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1994; daughter Mary in 1986 and grandson Martin in 1975; Josephine is survived by her son Victor (Dee); daughters Joanna (Warren) and Leona (Bob); grandchildren Carmen, Susan, Michael, Carey-Jo, Michael, Christopher and Caroline; great grandchildren Georgia, Rachaele and Annaliese; other relatives and friends. Prayers were offered Wednesday, February 25th at 7:00pm from Henderson's Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday, February 26th at 10:30am from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 20680 Fraser Highway, Langley. MARBACH - William Leo (Bill)

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our very special Father, Papa, Brother and friend on Friday, February 13, 2004 on his farm in Greendale. Bill will be deeply missed by his four children Melody (Brian), Steven (Carmen), David (Michelle) and Alison (Paul) as well as by his grandchildren, Ryan, Josh, Gerard, Nathan, Cody, Amber, Sydney and Talon, extended family and many friends. Bill was an active member of the Elks (B.P.O.E.) and a celebration of his life will be held at the Elks Lodge, 46185 Fourth Avenue, Chilliwack, B.C. on Saturday, March 13, 2004 from 2:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers a donation in Bill's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the B.C. Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. WISER - Thomas

Born on January 5th, 1923 in Ogdensberg, U.S.A., passed away peacefully at 81 years of age. He was a longtime resident and pioneer of Langley. He will be missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Annelies and their children; Sandra-Lee (Mike), Tom (Heather), Allan (Sarah) and grandchildren; Cole, Julia, Joshua and Brady. Also from a previous marriage sons; Larry and Randy (Val) and grandchildren; Justin, Brennen, Brodie and Karlee. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah Witnesses at 20241 68th Avenue, Langley, B.C. on Saturday February 28, 2004 at 2:00pm.

LAST - Mrs. Sheelagh Last

Late of Abbotsford, passed away on February 24, 2004 at MSA Hospital, after an 11 year battle with cancer. She is survived by Arthur, her loving husband, her 3 sons: Daniel, Michael, and Peter, mother Dorothy, sister Patsy (Ken) and brother John (Jackie). Sheelagh was predeceased by her father Ernest. Special thanks to Dr. Gelmon and staff at the BC Cancer Agency, Dr. Parkin, the staff of 3 West at MSA Hospital, and the UCW Harmony Unit for their care and support. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday March 1, 2004 at 1:00PM from Trinity Memorial United Church, 33737 Hazel Street, Abbotsford, with Reverend Connie Thompson officiating. Peacefully entered into rest at the age of 83 on February 22nd, 2004. Lester is predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Betty May who passed away December 10,1999, Survived by sister Irene from Saskatoon; son Brian (Vicki); daughter Judy (Rick); grandchildren Carrie-Anne (Troy), Barbie (Bradley), Amy (Kelly), Stacy (Adrian), Tammy (Desi), and Blair; great grandchildren Joshua, Carter, Devon, and Michael. Lester was very fond of his loving extended family and close friends,. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society of British Columbia would be appreciated.
