Mary Bradley
November 8, 1922 - May 27, 2008

With deep sorrow and sadness, the family of Mary Bradley regretfully announce her passing away on May 27, 2008 at Ponderosa Lodge with her family by her side.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Burt in 1986. Over the years they had resided in New Westminster, Prince George, Prince Rupert and Surrey.

Mom is survived by her son Lloyd (Lee) Bradley of Kamloops, and daughters Sandra Pickering of Prince George, and Shelagh (Gerry) Hockin of Campbellville, Ontario.

She also leaves seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Special thanks to all the nurses at Royal Inland Hospital, 3rd Floor West and the staff and nurses at Ponderosa Place first and third floors, and also to Chris Roberts, hairdresser.

At Maryís request, there will be no formal funeral service. Interment to take place at Victory Cemetery, 14831-28th Ave Surrey BC, where she will be reunited with her beloved husband Burt.

Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association, in lieu of flowers.

Clarence Orvill Alexander
July 30, 1917 - June 6, 2008

Clarence Alexander passed away on June 6, 2008 at Royal Inland Hospital in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Vimy Ethel for 59 years; loving father of sons Glenn David of Vancouver BC and Brad (Janis) of Cayman Islands; three granddaughters Bonnie, Leanne and Lisa; niece Sandy (Larry) Bautz of Calgary AB and son Jarrod; niece Deborah (Ron) Tennant and children Doug and Sara of Barrie ON; nephew Doug (Jane) Eaton of Niagara-on-the-Lake ON; brother in-law Ron Bassett of Barrie ON; brother in-law Gordon Morgan of Toronto ON; sister in-law Hilda Read of Hamilton ON and family; and many friends he made while working as a Gas Inspector for the BC Government. Clarence and Vimy enjoyed many fishing trips with their traveling companions, Connie & John Kraushar, and there werenít many lakes and campsites missed on trips throughout Canada and BC. Clarence enjoyed happy hours with good friends and neighbours over the years.

A Private Family Service will be held for Clarence at a later date.

Delphine Whitehouse
September 18, 1922 - May 27, 2008

Louise Delphine Whitehouse (nee Balagno) of Kamloops, BC passed away on May 27th at the age of 85.

She is survived by her children Mike Whitehouse of Sechelt, Ted Whitehouse (Diane) of Edmonton, Susan Hickey (Emma Kivisild) of Vancouver and Mary Johnson (Robert) of Las Vegas; grandchildren Jeseka Hickey of Vancouver, Brennan, Lyndon, and Kale Whitehouse of Edmonton and Sonoko Takita Hickey of Vancouver; her sisters Marie Lundquist (Glenn, dec.) of Preston, WA, Charlotte Rowse (Dennis) and Helen Rudderham (Bob) of Prince Rupert and cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces & nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Wilfred Whitehouse and her grandson Marlon Hickey.

A Kamloops resident for 36 years, Delphine was born in Prince Rupert, BC on September 18, 1922. She married Wilfred Donald Whitehouse in 1952 in Prince Rupert, where they raised their four children, moving to Kamloops in 1971.

The list of Delphine's talents and accomplishments are long - she was a great sewer, knitter, pie maker, flower and vegetable gardener, badminton player, bridge and all-round fantastic card player. In her youth she swam, hiked, skied, fished & camped.

She could light a campfire, row a boat and roast a perfect hotdog. She loved the outdoors, games and playing cards. She was kind, generous and loved to laugh. She loved her family and her family knew she was the greatest mother and grandmother that ever lived.

We will always miss you.

A Mass for the Soul of Delphine will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2008 in the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 255 Nicola St., Kamloops with Reverend Father Tony Ackerman, Celebrant.

Wendy Lou Shultz
November 8, 1950 - June 9, 2008

Wendy Shultz of Kamloops BC lost her courageous battle with cancer and went to be with her Heavenly Father. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, June 9, 2008.

Wendy is survived by her mother Norma Carlson of Westbank BC; her sons Cory & Brent of Kamloops BC; her granddaughter Regan Leanne Shultz of Kamloops BC; her siblings Sherry (Larry) Hart of Peachland BC, Cathy (Dale) Babb of Edmonton AB, Gordon (Elvira) Carlson of Stony Plain AB, and Gina (Darcy) Wilkie of Stony Plain AB; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Leanne (1977) and her loving father Clifford Carlson (1992).

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home for their loving care and many kindnesses.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 10:00 a.m on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 in the Summit Drive Baptist Church with Pastor Harry Bicknell officiating.

Doreen Fannie Legge (nee Carmichael)
November 6, 1924 - June 8, 2008

Of Green Lake, formerly of North Vancouver. With her sense of humour, Mum had us laughing to the end. She died peacefully surrounded by her family, after a 4 year battle with cancer. Doreen is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 59 years Ken, daughters Pat Jordan (Jordie), Dale Hutchings (Harvey), Susan Zasadny (Art), Janet Dolter (Dave), son Brian Legge (Cindy), sister Mildred McCormick, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2008, Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive. Donations in Mum's memory may be made to the B.C. Cancer Society.

Christiaan (Chris) Petrus Jongerhuis
January 17, 1934 to June 7, 2008

Chris passed away at Kamloops Royal Inland Hospital following a sudden illness. Chris was pre-deceased by his father Herman, his mother Jacoba and his brother Benny. He is survived by brothers Hank and Robbie (Rosalie), and sister Elly (Paul) Adams. Also nieces and nephews, Cindy, Shelby, Angie, Mike, Rick, Randy, John and Rick. Chris was born in Rotterdam, Holland before immigrating with his family to Canada in 1951. Chris lived in both Vernon and Kamloops, where he was employed as a mechanic for most of his career. Chris loved all sports, owned and raced stock cars, bowled, played soccer, and was an avid fisherman. Your fishing and racing buddies miss you Chris. We will think of you next time we wet a line...

No formal service by request. Cremation arrangements were completed by Kamloops Funeral Home. Should friends desire donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 201-635 Victoria Street, Kamloops, BC V2C 2B3 in memory of Chris would be appreciated. Condolences may be sent to the family from .

Victor Lind
June 30, 1956 - June 9, 2008

Vic passed away peacefully at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice. He is survived by his loving wife Linda; father Loyd (Sepkje); mother in-law Hedy Usipiuk; children Trevor Lind, Murray Usipiuk (Tammy Stokes) all of Kamloops, and Nicole Lind of Ontario; and his grandchildren Lindsay Roste and Murray Garett Usipiuk Jr. He also leaves his brothers Hans (Sherry) of Calgary, and Montey of Kamloops; his sisters Tracey Keohne (Brett) and Sherry Hall, both of Kitimat, sister and brother in-law Helen & Lyle Hanson of Kamloops, brother and sister in-law Gordon & Rhonda Usipiuk of Victoria BC; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and special friends Leighla & Josh Pointen & girls Willow & Devon of Calgary.

He was predeceased by his mother Ellen and brother Chris.

Vic enjoyed and loved his cats, cooking, fishing, darts, and spending time in the backyard at BBQs. He was a Sergeant in the Royal Canadian Artillery. After returning to Kamloops, he was the head plumber for Rocky Mountain Vacationeers for 11 years. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and co-workers at the yard. Vic will also be missed by his Tuesday night dart team Ė Simon, Bruce & Nikki.

A special thank you to all staff and volunteers at the Hospice House, home care nurses, and Dr. Paul Farrell.

Viewing will take place prior to the service from 10:00 to 10:30 am in the Rosewood Room at Kamloops Funeral Home.

The Funeral Service will be held in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008 with Pastor Vern Frudd officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Following the cemetery, friends are invited to a potluck dinner to be held at the residence from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm.

Debbie Morhart
December 27, 1963 - June 14, 2008

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother and Friend. Deb graced us with her selfless love, eager attitude, contagious laughter and genuine personality. Deb leaves behind her husband and best friend Don, her three loving children, Kyle, Kayla and Derek, loyal and loving cousin Linda, and many in-laws, nephews, nieces and huge circle of friends through-out the Kamloops area and beyond. Deb had a passion for life and lived each and every day to it's fullest and those who knew her, will be blessed with wonderful memories of her love, generosity and kindness forever.

We would like to thank all of the people who loved and supported Deb and her family in her life.

July 15, 1936 - June 18, 2008

Jeannine Toupin of Kamloops passed away on June 18, 2008 at 71 years of age. Jean passed peacefully and bravely, surrounded by her family, shortly after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Jean is survived by her loving children Paul (Gloria) Toupin of Blizzard Valley ON, Lise (Michael) Cote of Monte Lake BC, Roger Toupin of Kamloops BC, Suzanne (Sandy) Toupin of Kamloops BC, Michael (Joanne) Toupin of Kamloops BC, Lynne (Cliff) Lattin of Pemberton BC, and Carole Fuller of Kamloops BC; Jean was so proud of her 15 grandchildren and was full of love for her 18 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her brothers Yvon and Alphose and loving sisters Yolande and Fernand; many caring nieces and nephews, as well as many caring sisters and brothers in-law.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur 1990, companion Fred Kalmakoff 2007, brother Real and Marcel, sister Simone, son Raymond 1982, and a beautiful great granddaughter.

Jean grew up in Northern Ontario in a large family and spoke of hard times but filled with lots of food and love. Jean and Arthurís legacy started at a dance and continues strongly today with as very special family bond. In 1965 they bravely moved away from all family to Merritt in a small car with seven children, with eight still to come. Later they moved to Vancouver and then finally settled comfortably in Kamloops. Together they successfully opened restaurants, first Jeanís Grill, Butterdell, and The Hideaway Restaurant. Jean was always meeting and greeting people with smiles and great food. Her passion was for bingo, not just playing but for the socializing too. Jean was a Legion member and was proud to fill the Sergeant-At-Arms position.

Jeanís family would like to thank Dr. Reid and the Kamloops Hospice for their compassionate, tender care.

Also the family would like to recognize long time family friend, Fred Kalmokoff who was so supportive and became a close companion after Arthurís death. His passing in 2007 was a great loss to Jean and the family.

The Funeral Service will take place at 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 21, 2008 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Father Peter Hoan Nguyen, Celebrant.

Donation in Jeanís memory may be made to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home, 72 Whiteshield Cr., South, Kamloops BC V2E 2S9. Flowers gratefully declined.
