McCULLOUGH, Gordon Holland, born October 26, 1915, died August 15, 2004. He is survived by his son Dave (Marion); grandchildren, Stacey and Rob, ex-wife Judy; sister-in-law Lorraine; cousin Eileen; nieces, Patsy, Carol and Maureen and nephew Britt. Predeceased by his parents, Dave and Beatrice McCullough; brothers, Jim and Logan, and sister Aileen. Gordon was an original member of the Kitsilano Boys Band. He graduated from Kitsilano High School in 1934, and graduated with a BA in 1938 and a BComm in 1939 from UBC. A veteran of the 2nd World War as a Flight Lieutenant with the RCAF. He was an accountant with the Department of Transportation and later a successful businessman as an owner of rental property. He was very proud of his Irish heritage. No service at his request. May he rest in peace. No flowers please, donations to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army.

ROSSICCI, Emilia M. passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family and friends on August 26, 2004. Emilia is survived by her loving son Eric; 2 grandchildren, Lexy and Paul, as well as 3 great-grandchildren. There will be no service at her request. SMALL, Gerald. A memorial mass will be said at St. Francis de Sales, 6610 Balmoral Street, Burnaby for Gerald Small on Thursday, September 2nd at 11 AM. Gerald died in Iowa on August 7, 2004. His ashes will be inurned at Ocean View following the mass.

SMITH, Philip Edward, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on Friday morning August 27, 2004. He is lovingly remembered by daughters, Sharlein (Joe), Merran and Sandra, companion Donna, grandchildren Duncan and Rachel, brother Roger (Midge), nephews Steve, Shawn and Scott, and a multitude of relatives and friends. A joyful celebration of Phil will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 3 p.m. at St. David's United Church, 1525 Taylor Way, West Vancouver, B.C. For those who wish donations may be made to the Oncology Department at Lions Gate Hospital. Phil and family wish to thank the Lions Gate Hospital staff for their wonderful care.

SOUTHALL, Edward. Edward "Ed" Southall passed away peacefully in Calgary, AB on August 27, 2004 at the age of 86 years. Ed will be missed by his wife Helen of 64 years; children, Geoff (Wendy), Mary Lou and Doug (Betty) and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be held at Beechmount Cemetery in Edmonton, Alberta on Saturday, September 4, 2004 at 2:00 pm. STEWART, Helen Mary (nee Gervais) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Helen, surrounded by all of her loving family on Monday, August 23rd at Lions Gate Hospital at the age of 78. She is survived by the "love of her life" Ray, her husband of 55 years; her son Gary, his wife Donna and their children, Erin and Craig Stewart; her daughter Monique, her husband Mark Church and her children Ben and Kylene Konkin and their father Dann; and family and friends in Saskatchewan, B.C. and Mesa, Arizona. She will be lovingly remembered for her gentle smile and enthusiastic zest for life. Helen was born in Estevan, Saskatchewan, married Ray in Moose Jaw in 1949, lived in Regina until 1966 when the family relocated to North Vancouver. Helen was a long time employee of Woodward's Food Floor in Park Royal. Among her many interests, some of her favourites were square dancing, playing cards, sewing, wintering in Mesa with their many friends and volunteering with Thursday Bingo at Silver Harbour Centre. However, her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow into wonderful young adults. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael O'Neil, ER nurse Kerin, Rev. Andres Rebane and social worker Jeany Chan for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Helen's memory to the charity of your choice. At Helens request a private family service was held at St. Catherine's Anglican Church, Capilano, Rev. John Mash officiating.

THOMPSON, Lloyd Wesley born July 25, 1929 in Vancouver, BC passed away peacefully on August 26, 2004. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years Audrey; his three children Janice (Chester), Rick, Wendy (Roger); two stepchildren Laurie (Jim) and Doug Gordon; eight grandchildren Steve (Sabrina), Sharon (Doug), Rob, Brian, Travis, Brigitte, Paul (Carla), and Shawn; three great-grandchildren Dustin, Alicia and Tori; as well as many friends. A Memorial Service to celebrate Lloyd's life will be held on Thursday, September 2nd, 2004 at 1:00PM at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre 14831- 28th Avenue Surrey. WARBURTON_ James Wesley, born October 26, 1923 in Lynnmore, North Vancouver, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 26, 2004 at his home in Nanaimo, with his loving family by his side. James, a veteran of World War II fought with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in Germany, as a long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion. James was a long standing resident of Prince Rupert, working as a Quarter Master on the Alexander MacKenzie and with Canada Post, retiring in 1990. James is predeceased by his wife Nita, sons James III, James IV, Reynold William, parents James Warburton Sr. and mother Ester (nee Wesley). James will be sadly missed by his children, Darlene Littewing (Frank), Vickie Brotchie (Bishop), Betty Ann Clayton (John), Clifford Warburton and son, Donna McVeigh (Ron) and Carole Perrault (Derek). Also deeply missed by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his brother-in-law Rey McKay and family, sister-in-law Carole Woods and family and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held in Prince Rupert at the United Church, August 31, 2004 at 7:00 pm, funeral service commences on Wednesday September 1, 2004.

WILDEMAN, Edward, born October 25th, 1918 in Esk, Saskatchewan, passed away in Surrey August 25th, 2004 at the age of 85 after a valiant fight with cancer. Predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy in 1996. Also by brothers Julius and Ferdinand, sisters Maggie, Minnie, Lillian and Esther. Edward will be sadly missed by children Ross, Bonnie (Larry), Fred (Luba), Richard (Dawn) and Susan (Ron), 11 grandchildren, also by his sister Jean and close friends Joy and Gordon. Our early years as a family will always be treasured in our memories. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 1st at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Ocean View Funeral Home, 4000 Imperial Street, Burnaby, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Society.

WING, Mari. After finishing her morning exercises Mari passed away peacefully at home in Burnaby on August 23, 2004 at the age of 83. Lovingly remembered by sons, Michael (Lorna), Haine (Nancy), Muzz (Judi) and grandchildren, William and Natalie. Memorial service to be held Friday, September 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to Mari's favourite charities would be appreciated.

LEES, Harriet Emma "Emmie" (nee Keen). Born in Burnaby, BC, passed away peacefully August 30, 2004. Predeceased by husband Tom. Lovingly remembered by daughters Sheila Cain (Bill) and Eleanor Hodgins (Cyril); 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren;, nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm September 4, 2004 at First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo Avenue, White Rock. Reception to follow. MAH, Doreen (nee Liu) Born August 11, 1963, in Calcutta, India, Doreen, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, August 30, 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her partner, Jeff; daughter, Chantel; mom and dad, Mary and Harold; sister, Julia (Kevan); brothers, Richard (Noreen), Desmond, and Albert; and many nieces and nephews. Dor had a heart of gold, always looking out for others, and loved to laugh. Her many friends will greatly miss her. She will always have a special place in the hearts and minds of those she touched. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will take place at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, September 4, 2004, at First Memorial Services, 602 Kingsway, Vancouver. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and wonderful nurses in the Palliative Ward at Burnaby Hospital who provided such kind and gentle care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.

McKENZIE, Mel R. July 11, 1947 - August 29, 2004 Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Mel passed away peacefully at home in Surrey. He is predeceased by his mother Iris and aunt Ann Line. Mel is survived by his father Harry and Nan; brother David; daughters Rebecca, Suzanne and Sarah (Tim); and two grandchildren Jesse and McKenzie. Mel was an employee at Air Canada for many years. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 3, 2004, at 10:00 a.m., at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 28th Avenue, Surrey. NAPPER, Ruth Emilie, born February 9, 1911 in Winnipeg, MB, passed away August 29, 2004 in Port Coquitlam. She married Arthur Roy Napper on October 7, 1950 and was predeceased by him in 1966. Ruth was employed for many years at the office of Kresges Ltd., Winnipeg. Ruth and Roy moved to Victoria in 1964 and in 1981, Ruth became a resident of White Rock. Since November 2002, Ruth has resided in Port Coquitlam. Although Ruth had no children of her own, she had a special love for all children and was known for her generosity towards them. Ruth was an avid golfer and also travelled extensively, both with Roy and then on her own. She was predeceased by her siblings, Caroline, Adam, Gustav and Frederick and is survived by her brother, Paul (Adeline); sister-in-law, Martha, and many nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at Burkeview Family Funeral Care, Port Coquitlam. "Sleep Ruth, sleep in heavenly peace."
