KALK: Gerald Dale passed away in Victoria, BC on March 12, 2005, age 56 years.

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 11, 1948.

Predeceased by his parents.

Survived by his loving wife Jackie; daughter, Marsha Stokell (Dan); son, Dwayne all of Victoria, BC; brothers, Ken, Larry and sister Colleen all from Manitoba.

Uncle Norman Kalk (Joan) and Uncle Bert Carter (Pat) all of Qualicum Beach, BC.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Gerry was past president of the Colwood Rotary Club and was a member of the transportation committee, City of Langford.

He was a loving and caring husband, father and friend.

His memory will be cherished in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched.

He loved to fish, “Gone Fishing”.

Visitation for family and friends will be held in the Sands West Shore Chapel on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Celebration of Gerry’s Life will be held in the Sands West Shore Chapel on Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m.

Mr. James Lauder, officiant.

Cremation entrusted to Hatley Memorial Gardens.

Following the service friends are invited to join the family for refreshments at 1205 Parkdale Drive.

Flowers are acceptable or donations in memory of Gerry may be made to the BC Heart and Stroke foundation, #107 1001 Cloverdale Avenue, Victoria, BC V8X 4C9.

Paraska (Pearl) Hunchak

Hunchak, Pearl June 9, 1913 - March 12, 2005 Pearl passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital in Victoria, BC surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband William.

Pearl will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children Julian, Jeanette (Al), Gale(Mike), and many cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family wishes to sincerely thank Drs. Wrathell and Slobodian and staff on the sixth floor of Victoria General Hospital along with the wonderful care workers from Sooke for their loving care.

Private family arrangements.

Flowers gratefully declined.

Jeanne Roberta Twa (née Dodds)

January 29, 1941 - March 12, 2005

TWA Jeanne Roberta (Dodds) Born in Morningside, Alberta on the 29th of January 1941 passed away peacefully on March 12, 2005 surrounded by her family after a brief but valiant battle with cancer.

Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of over 45 years, Lionel; her eldest Son, Jody and his wife Diane and their children, Bryce and Kelly; her Daughter, Jacqueline and her husband, Don; and children Erik, Carl and Rick; and her youngest Son, Jay Dee and his son, Braden.

Jeanne was much loved by all that knew her and will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Jeanne’s life will be held in White Rock, BC at 863 Maple Street on Saturday, the 16th of April 2005 at 4:00 p.m.

Helena Mathieson Harford (née Smith)

June 22, 1906 - August 03, 2004

HARFORD Helena Mathieson (Lena) - Peacefully on August 3rd, 2004, Lena passed away after a long and fulfilling life of 98 years.

Born on June 22, 1906 in Aberdeen, Scotland, Lena immigrated to Canada with her parents when she was 5 years of age.

Her parents farmed in Hargreave, Manitoba where she met her husband.

Lena and Basil farmed until 1936 and then moved to Victoria with their three sons.

During the war years, while her husband and eldest son served, she worked in the shipyards.

In the years following the war, Lena did great service to the community of Langford.

She belonged to several service clubs including a lifetime membership in Branch 91 Royal Canadian Legion, Ladies Auxilliary.

She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, kind and caring nature, generosity and the great love she had for her family.

Lena was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Jeanne; sister, Ellen; brother, Dick; beloved husband, Basil; youngest son, Jim; daughter-in-law, Shirley and infant twin daughters Mary and Dorothy.

She is survived by her two sons, Buzz (Belle) and Rod (Claire) and daughter-in-law, Ina.

Also 7 grandchildren; Heather (Steinar), Doug ( Brenda), Kerry (Marilyn), Debbie (John), Sharon (Joe), Jeanne (Gary) and Donald (Gloria) and 14 great- grandchildren, Shaun, Nolan, Danica, Michael, Justin, Meghan, Lindsay, Conor, John, Sarah, Taylor, David, Logan and Lauren and extended family and special friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Derek Smith and the staff at Fir Cottage for their wonderful care of our Mother during the last five years.

“We Will Always Love You Nan” Family and friends may pay their respects at Sands West Shore Chapel on Thursday, August 5, 2004 between 7:00 and 9:00 pm.

Funeral service will be held in Sands West Shore Chapel 317 Goldstream Avenue, on Friday, August 6, 2004 at 11:00 am with Rev. Gordon Thurston officiating.

A reception will follow in the Arbor Reception Center.

Interment to follow at Hatley Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heritage Woods, 567 Goldstream Avenue, V9B 2W4.

Mrs. Wilhelmina "Minnie" Marie Moul (née Jensen)
October 06, 1901 - March 16, 2004

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Minoru Residence in Richmond on March 16, 2004 at the age of 102 years.

Min was predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur John (Jack) in 1962 and by her beloved daughter, Doris in 1988. She is survived by her children - Jack (Pat), Albert (Grace), Doreen, Gordon (Sybil), Douglas (Arlene), Robert (Kathy) and Diane. She had twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Minnie was a patient at Minoru Residence for nine years and was much loved and was well known for her competitive nature in sports events and games.

The Moul family appreciates the loving care and attention given to their beloved Mother by the staff.

There will be a celebration of Min's life at Richmond Funeral Home, 8420 Cambie Road, Richmond, B.C. on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with reception to follow.
