A Glass of Lemon Water, With Ice

Janie Marie Anderson
(nee Jenkins; aka Marie, Re-Re, Grandma Re-Re, Mrs Anderson).
Was born on January 5, 1929, and she left this earth on February 12, 2002.
She was known for her smile, her love and enthusiasm for life, and for her famous "Grandma Jenkins Cake" (a family recipe).
She was always honest about her opinion, and this distinctive quality proved quite an asset for anyone who questioned her about anything; she always gave a straight answer.
She loved her family with all her heart; her late husband John; her sons David and Stephen; her sister Dianne; her brothers Ron and Harold; her daughters-in-law Deb and Kim; and her grandchildren Matthew, Jacob, Benjamin, Gabriel, Joanna, Daniel, and Lydia. Marie was the kindest wife, sister, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother that anyone could ever ask for; and her kindness was only exceeded by her unequaled generosity.
Perhaps one of the most clearly etched pictures of Marie is portrayed on the imaginary canvas in the minds of those left behind: an elegant woman holding a glass of lemon water (with ice) in her hand, and drinking deeply of life with every drop of the liquid.
That was Marie: always enjoying life to the fullest every day.
She will be deeply missed by all those she has ever come into contact with, and especially by those who had the privilege of knowing her on a more personal basis.
While mourning, her family and friends can find joy in the fact that she is now in heaven with Jesus Christ, her Saviour.
In remembrance of Marie, a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2002.
North Shore Alliance Church, 201 East 23rd St, North Vancouver, B.C.

BISSETT, Andrew Allan.
Born October 27, 1947, in Vancouver, B.C., passed away suddenly on February 8, 2002 in Delta, B.C., after returning from a well deserved vacation in South America.
Andrew is predeceased by his father, Bill, mother, Katie, brother, Douglas and sister, Sandra.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine; sons, Clinton and Russell; daughter, Tamara; sister, Karen Warland (Lloyd and Marianne).
A farmer all of his life, the last 30 years on Westham Island in Delta, known as the "Berry King" of Westham Island and the "Lobok King" by the Wholesalers in Vancouver.
Known for his one liners, great sense of humor, and a big heart.
Andrew grew up in Richmond, graduating from Steveston High School in 1966, at which time he helped his mother manage Bissett's Blueberry Farm, located on No. 4 Road.
After selling the farm in Richmond and getting married, he purchased a farm on Westham Island in Delta, bringing all the knowledge he had acquired over the years to growing all types of berries on the Island.
Andy was always there for everyone who needed him and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him, as to know him was to love him.
In lieu of flowers, please forward a donation in his name to the Delta Hospital Auxiliary, c/o Delta Hospital, 5800 Mountain View Boulevard, Delta, B.C., V4K 3V6.
