Pantel - Marie
1905- 2004

Marie Josephe Pantel passed away peacefully in Notre Dame de Lourdes Foyer at the age of 98.

Marie will be lovingly remembered by her daughters Lillian (Joe), Evelyn and Arlette (Peter); son-in-law Alain Durand; twelve grandchildren, Gary, Glen, Dianne, Lynette, Cindy, Neil, Grant, Cheri, Bonnie, Jocelyne, Annette, Karen; thirteen great grand-children; her sister-in-laws, Imelda Pantel, Alice Ralph, Rita Pantel and Cecile Phinney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie is predeceased by her loving husband Leon, daughter Helen and grandson Harry.

Marie was born in Brittany, France, November 6, 1905 and immigrated to Canada in 1906 with her loving parents Yves and Yvonne LeGourrierec (nee Guyomvarch). Marie married Leon Pantel in 1927 and they farmed in Notre Dame and later in Cypress River until their retirement. Marie was a hard working farm wife dedicated to her hearth and home. She will be remembered for her quiet grace, her ease of presence and her genteel and accepting manner.

A very special and heartfelt thanks to all the health care professionals at the Notre Dame Foyer who assisted in Marie's care.

Evening Prayer Service for family and friends will be held at Adam's Funeral Home on Thursday January 29, 2004 at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Friday January 30, 2004 at 11 a.m.. Father Alphonse Bongo officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made in Marie's name to the Notre Dame Foyer, Notre Dame de Lourdes, R0G 1M0 (204 248 2092).

Irene Jamault (née Hague)

Peacefully on Wednesday January 14, 2004, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Irene Mabel Jamault died at the Portage la Prairie Regional Hospital at the age of 65 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Guy Jamault in 1992 and by her brother Charles Hague in 1989.

She leaves to cherish her memory her four children: Ronald Jamault and wife Jo Anne (nee Litton) of Rathwell; Monique and her husband Daniel Gagnon of Winnipeg; Gilbert Jamault and his wife Ingrid (nee Pickering) of Maple Ridge, B.C.; Mona and her husband Gordon Lindwall of Portage la Prairie; 11 grandchildren: Bernard Jamault and his wife Vanessa, Dana, Michelle, Jeffrey and Patrick Jamault of Rathwell; Kayla and Shaelyn Gagnon of Winnipeg; Erik and Jared Jamault of Maple Ridge, B.C.; Rachelle and Curtis Lindwall of Portage la Prairie; and 1 great-grandchild: Liane Jamault. She also leaves to mourn her 2 brothers: Lloyd Hague and his wife Rolande (nee Durand) of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes and Robert Hague of Winnipeg; her step sister Jeanne (nee Deleurme) and her husband Albert Jamault of Winnipeg and her step brother René Deleurme of Winnipeg, her sister-in-law Gertrude Hague (nee Lesage) of Winnipeg. Her late husband's family include Roland Jamault and his wife Anita (nee Dufault) of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes; Alice and her husband Henri Paradis of Saskatoon; Sr. Marie-Aimée Jamault s.b. of Versailles, France; Yvette Jamault of Winnipeg; Edmond Jamault and his wife Alice (nee Deleurme) of Vancouver, George Jamault and Suzanne Jamault both of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.

Irene had a long and successful career as an elementary and secondary teacher, having taught in Haywood, St. Leon, and especially Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes during a span of 30 years. She leaves us with a legacy of unflinching courage, determination and above all, faith in her savior.

Prayers will be held at Adam's Funeral Home on Friday January 16, 2004 at 7 p.m. with cremation to follow. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Saturday January 17, 2003 at 2 p.m. with Father Alphonse Bongo officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Hubert Dupasquier

Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Monday December 29, 2003, Mr. Hubert Dupasquier of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 61 years.

He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Dolores (nee Brisson); 5 children: Patrick of Houston, Texas, Yolande (Stephen) Van De Spiegle of Treherne, Joey of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Jeremy of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Ghyslaine of Winnipeg; 9 grandchildren: C.J. Karissa, Taylor, Madisyn, Devin, Jason, Griffin, Sydney and Alyssa. He also leaves to cherish his memory his mother Yvonne Dupasquier (nee Mary); 2 sisters: Annette (Georges) Desrochers and Liliane (Robert) Pilotte; one brother Fernand (Lorraine), one sister-in-law Simone Chaput; and one special family member Keith Dupasquier. He was predeceased by his father Joachim Dupasquier in 1996, and by one brother Louis in 1978.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Saturday January 3, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. preceded by Recitation of the Rosary at 10 a.m. with Father Alphonse Bongo and Father Jean-Hubert Collet officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Jules Chaperon

Peacefully at his residence on Saturday December 27, 2003, Mr. Jules Chaperon of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 55 years.

With respect for Jules' wishes, cremation has taken place. Simon H. Foidart

Simon Foidart, surrounded by his loved ones, peacefully went to his eternal rest December 22, 2003 at 4 p.m. at the age of 83.

A loving husband and devoted father, Simon will be dearly missed by Anna, his wife of 57 years; his children Simonne (Rod) Sewell of Edmonton, Arnold (Shirley) of Pilot Mound, Gisèle, Firmin (Caroline) and Aurèle (Diane) all of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Craig (Shannon) Sewell, Candice (Guy) Doucet, Fawn Sewell, Rhéal Sewell, Gilles (friend Tanya), Charles (Marcie), Patrick (Jacque), Curtis (Janda), Adam, Philippe, Vincent-Paul, Rielle, Lisa, Annick, Daniel and Justin; great-grandchildren, Julia and Gabriel Sewell, Simon Doucet, Nateeva Sewell, Skyla and Damon Foidart, Dylan Foidart; one brother Marcel (Madeleine); brothers and sisters-in-law, Martha, Julie, Hubert (Marie) Hacault, Louise (Archille) De Spiegelaere, Céline Tack, Jean (Lucile) Hacault, Benoit Hacault, Armand (Yvette) Hacault, Mathilde (Jean) Fifi, Jeanne Fiola, Germaine Stevens (friend Joey), Lucien (Simonne) Hacault, Michael Solodiuk, Patricia Hacault, Gaston (Heather) Hacault and Émile (Sylvie) Hacault; special friend of the family, Pascale Dalcq; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Simon was born January 8, 1920 and resided in Bruxelles all his life. He was educated at St. Urbain School then worked on his parents' farm. Simon was called to the armed services in January 1942. He was trained and served with The Winnipeg Grenadiers. From 1944 to the end of the war in 1945, Simon served with the Cameron Highlanders in Belgium, Holland and Germany. He received his military discharge in January of 1946. On October 30, 1946 Simon married Anna, daughter of François and Irma Hacault. They settled in Bruxelles where Simon operated a blacksmith shop for ten years. Simon and Anna bought the Lanouette Store which they operated from 1956 to 1982. Simon was Credit Union manager from 1954 to 1974, and postmaster for 25 years. His capabilities as an electrician, plumber, welder and carpenter have been a great benefit to many families in the Bruxelles and surrounding areas. He was a hard working individual with infinite patience. His days began early in the morning and often ended late at night. A man of few words, he was generous with his time, money and knowledge and his was a life of service. Simon has devoted time and talent for the betterment of the parish. He took pride in the maintenance of the church and parish grounds. As his father, Julien, and brother, Paul before him, he rang church bells and served as greeter for ten years. Simon was always very active in the community. He served on many boards including: Bruxelles Bowling Club, Bruxelles History Book Committee, St. Gustave School District, Credit Union Board of Directors and Marigold Home for the Handicapped. He was a member of Bruxelles Band from 1938 to 1999. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Holland Branch #121. His favorite pastimes included playing cards and woodworking. Upon retirement he created many projects, big and small, which he usually donated. He was predeceased by an infant son, Firmin, parents Julien and Marie (Fifi), parents-in-law François and Irma (Mangin) Hacault, step-mother in-law Agathe (Angers) Hacault, brothers, Paul and Adolphe, sister Séraphine Allard, brothers-in-law, Roland Hacault, Maurice Tack, Louis Fiola, Adrien Allard, Mgr. Antoine Hacault and Michel Hacault, sisters-in-law, Dorothée (Hacault) Solodiuk, Odile (Labossière) Hacault and Monica (Gagnon) Hacault.

Prayers will be held on Friday, December 26 at 7:30 p.m. and the funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 27 at 2:00 p.m. both at the St. Gerard Catholic Church in Bruxelles.

The family wishes to thank Doctors Bruneau and Desmond as well as the caring staff of Lorne Memorial, Boundary Trails and St. Boniface Hospitals.

Jason Marginet

On Sunday December 21, 2003, Jason Marginet of Cypress River, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 34 years.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving parents Robert and Jackie (nee Hacault); one brother Brent (Sherry) Marginet and their children Sean and Justin of Winnipeg; one sister Melissa (Rick) Reis of Beausejour and their daughter Nicole. He also leaves to cherish his memory numerous uncles and aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.

Prayers will be held at Adam's Funeral on Friday December 26, 2003 at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated in the Bruxelles Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Firmin Michiels and Father Gerry Sembrano officiating. Interment followed in the Bruxelles Parish Cemetery.

Jason was born on November 8, 1969. He attended Ste. Marie School in Bruxelles and Swan Lake High School. After high school he had 3 main occupations. First, he worked for Lorne Dolinski of Cypress River, cleaning out loose housings. Then he worked for Dave Nicholson, erecting pole buildings. Last of all, he was employed by Ken Pearson Transport, driving a semi-truck. Everyone who hired him said he was a very good worker and often went beyond the call of duty. He enjoyed tinkering on motors and riding his motorcycle. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Constance Julien (née Pelé)

Peacefully, at the Treherne Hospital on Thursday, December 18, 2003, Mrs. Constance Julien of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, Manitoba, passed away at the age of 75 years.

Constance leaves to mourn her three children: Denise (Claude) Fontaine, Armand (Lorraine) Julien and Léo (Michelle) Julien; 7 grandchildren: Christine, Rosanne (Rudy), Natalie, Guy (Claire), Marc, Christian and Éric; and 5 great grandchildren: Ryan, Nicholas, Amanda, Jordon and Daniel. She also leaves to mourn her sisters: Thérèse, Agnès, Simone, Cécile, Alice and Suzanne; her brothers: Joseph and Lucien; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Julien, her parents Constant and Lucie Pelé and by one brother Meinrad Pelé.

Constance Julien (née Pelé)

Le jeudi 18 décembre 2003, à l'Hôpital de Treherne, Manitoba, Constance Julien est décédée paisiblement à l'âge de 75 ans.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses trois enfants: Denise (Claude) Fontaine, Armand (Lorraine), Léo (Michelle); ainsi que 7 petits-enfants: Christine, Rosanne (Rudy), Natalie, Guy (Claire), Marc, Christian et Éric; et 5 arrière-petits-enfants: Ryan, Nicholas, Amanda, Jordan et Daniel. Elle laisse aussi ses soeurs: Thérèse, Agnès, Simone, Cécile, Alice et Suzanne; ses frères: Joseph et Lucien et de nombreux neveux, nièces, parents et amis.

Constance Julien fut précédée par son époux Albert Julien, ses parents Constant et Lucie Pelé et par un frère Meinrad Pelé.

Des prières eurent lieu au Salon mortuaire Adam, le dimanche 21 décembre 2003 à 20h. La messe fut célébrée le lundi 22 décembre 2003, à 10h30, en l'église catholique de Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes par Père Alphonse Bongo. L'inhumation a suivi au cimetière de la paroisse.

Les dons en mémoire de Constance pourront se faire au Foyer Notre Dame ou au Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Marie Chaperon (nee Fouasse)

Peacefully at the Notre Dame Hospital on Tuesday December 16, 2003, Mrs. Marie Chaperon of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba passed away at the age of 75 years.

She leaves to mourn her beloved husband Louis Chaperon of Notre Dame de Lourdes; 2 children: Auguste Chaperon of St. Claude, Jeanne Collet (Norbert) of Notre Dame de Lourdes; 3 grandchildren: Guy, Christian and Julie. She also leaves to cherish her memory one sister Julienne Leduc of St. Claude; one brother-in-law Julien Philippot of St. Claude and numerous inlaws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by one son Gilles in 1959; one sister Claire Philippot and by one brother-in-law Julien Leduc.

Mona Gaultier (nee Philippot)

Peacefully at the Portage General Hospital on Tuesday March 30, 2004, Mrs. Mona Gaultier of St. Claude, Manitoba passed away at the age of 43 years.

She leaves to mourn her loving husband, of 23 years, Bernard Gaultier; 4 brothers: Roger (Jacqueline), Lionel (Elva), Norbert (Liliane), Maurice; 1 sister Gisèle Philippot (Eugène Gillott). She also leaves to mourn many relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents: Jean Marcel and Lina; by one infant brother Richard; and by her parents-in-law Pierre and Marguerite.

Mona devoted much of her love to her mother, whom she dearly cherished. She also dearly loved her family and friends, camping and tending to her flowers.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Saturday April 3, 2004 at 2 p.m.. Father Jean Jacques Serceau and Mgr. Roger Bazin officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.

Mirabelle V. Bernard

On Sunday March 14, 2004 God received another little lamb to his fold.

Although we never heard her cry or saw her smile
She will be forever in our hearts.

Mirabelle leaves to mourn her parents Laurent and Faida; her grandmother Natividad B. Vistro; uncles and aunts: Rhéal; (Marie-Reine) Bernard, Lorna (Noel) Bautista, Ceres (Paquito) Palisoc, Paterio (Alma) Vistro Jr.; and many cousins.

She joins in heaven, her grandparents: Gabriel and Thérèse Bernard, and Paterio J. Vistro Sr.; her uncle Frobel B. Vistro and cousins: Millette V. Bautista and Mil Aris G. Vistro.

A private prayer service was held at the St. Claude Roman Catholic Church on Saturday March 20, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a graveside at the St. Claude Parish Cemetery.

Marie-Jeanne Delaquis (nee Dupuis)

Mrs. Marie-Jeanne Delaquis, formerly of St. Claude, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on Friday March 12, 2004.

She leaves to mourn her passing her loving husband Dr. Hubert Delaquis, 2 daughters: Danielle Delaquis of Winnipeg, Marielle (Francois) Coquereau of Ecuador, 5 grandchildren: Serge (Karen), Pascal, Yanic, Jade (Greg), and Thiery. She also leaves to mourn one brother Fr. Laurent Dupuis and numerous in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Marie-Jeanne did her primary studies in St. Jacques, her secondary studies in Lachine and Ottawa, and graduated in medicine from the University of Montreal.

With respect for Marie's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday March 17, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Mgr Noel Delaquis officiating. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
