JAKE GINTER KRAUSE
Accidentally on Sunday, August 13, 2000 near Kenora, Ontario, Jake Ginter Krause of La Broquerie, Manitoba, beloved husband of Shirley, passed away at the age of 54 years.
Besides his loving wife Shirley, he leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Jennifer (Vince) McCormack and grandson Brandon of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kim (Jerry) Wiens and grandchildren Kaitlyn, Megan, Merrick of Mitchell, Manitoba, sons Albert Krause, Jason Krause both of Steinbach, Manitoba, his stepchildren, Edward (Sheri) Slater and grandchildren Stephane and Zachary of Selkirk, Manitoba, Jennifer Slater of La Broquerie; David Slater of Selkirk; Gregory Slater of La Broquerie.
He will also be missed by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Jake also leaves to mourn his mother Mrs Anne Krause of Steinbach, six brothers, four sisters and their families; Betty Wiebe of Steinbach, John (Linda) Krause of Calgary, Alberta, Dick (Diane) Krause of Ste. Anne, Manitoba, Abe Krause of Kleefeld, Manitoba, Mary (Richard) Sawatzky of Fort Frances, Ontario, Neil Krause of Winnipeg, Patsy (Gerric) Penner of Steinbach, Pat Krause of Calgary, Larry (Trish) Krause of Calgary, Hilda (Tom) Tyrrell of Winnipeg and Melanie (Jim) Hildebrand of Steinbach.
Jake was predeceased by his father David F. Krause, by his first wife Elma Krause (Fehr) both in 1990, and two brothers in infancy.
Funeral service was held Saturday, August 19, at 2 p.m. at Full Gospel Chapel in Steinbach with Pastor Peter Broesky officiating.
Interment followed in Steinbach Heritage Cemetery.
Viewing was held Friday, August 18 between 7-8 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel and at the church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Jake will be dearly and sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

AGANETHA 'NETTIE' HIEBERT
Following a lengthy illness, Nettie Hiebert, wife of Ben Hiebert of Grunthal, Manitoba, passed away peacefully at Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach, Manitoba, Tuesday, August 14, 2000 at the age of 76.
Nettie is survived by her husband Ben, one son Abe "Trang" (Sharon) Doerksen of Calgary, Alberta, thee daughters: Dianne (Murray) Howell, Lottie Joyce, both of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Sarah (Miles) Goldstein of Hazelridge, Manitoba, and nine grandchildren: George and Jonathan Howell; Carrie and Mark Doerksen; Jack and Diana Winram; Tobiah, Raz and Zoe Goldstein.
Also surviving are two brothers, Cornie D. and Nick D. Wiens, one sister Gertrude Wiebe plus half brothers and sisters and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband Abram F. Doerksen, one son Perry and one daughter Susan.
The funeral service was held Friday, Aug. 18, 2000 at 2 p.m. at the Sommerfeld Mennonite Church, New Bothwell, Manitoba, with the Rev. Henry Schroeder officiating.
Interment followed in Niverville Cemetery.
Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to Cancer Care or Sommerfeld Church Building Fund.

EDWARD NORRIS (TEDDY)
May 21, 1921 - August 16, 2000
On August 16, 2000 with his wife of 50 years by his side, Dad peacefully met with his maker.
He will be remembered forever as a great man by his wife, Nellie, son John and wife Winnie, grandson Michael, granddaughter Joanne and husband Craig, grandson Sam of Standish, England; his daughter Margaret and husband Brian and grandsons Matthew and Daniel of Steinbach, Manitoba.

The water that I will give him will become in him a spring which will provide him with life giving water and give him eternal life."

MARIE GOOSSEN TOEWS
Peacefully on August 17, 2000 at the Maplewood Manor, Mrs Marie Goossen Toews of Steinbach, formerly of Elma passed away at the age of 83 years.
She leaves to mourn her passing her children, Julian (Donella), Norman, Adeline (Joe Penner), Elaine, Marvin (Viola), Gladys (Roberto Ferrada), daughter-in-law Marion Toews, son-in-law Bill McCrory, 30 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Clarence in February, 1999, daughter Viola, son Walden.
Visitation and gathering of friends was on Sunday, August 20, 2000 from 7-9 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach and at the church prior to the service.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, August 21, 2000 at 2 p.m. at the Whitemouth Mennonite Church.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
