Alexius Antoinette Scott
1935 - 2012

Scott, Alexius A. - The death of Alexius Antoinette, of Saint John, NB, wife of Don Scott, occurred on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Glace Bay, NS on August 29, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mary - Ann (Wadden) Mountain.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her sons; Joseph of BC, Donald (Jennifer) of Calgary, AB, Lloyd (Tracey) of Alliston, ON, and Andrew (Mary) of Richmond, VA; daughter, Bernadette(Kevin) Boulter of Grand Bay, NB; sister, Faustina Woodfred of NL; nine grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.

Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (506 - 634 - 1965), with visiting on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Anne's Church, Glace Bay, NS on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Interment to take place at St. Anne's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Barbara Geraldine Campbell
1925 - 2012

The death of Barbara Geraldine Campbell, of Saint John, NB, wife of the late George Campbell, occurred on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on April 14, 1925, she was a daughter of late Robert and Mary (Johnson) Garnett. Barbara is survived by her son, John Campbell (Bonnie) of Kelowna, BC; daughters, Brenda Jordan (Ron) of Saint John, Darlene Campbell (Mike) of Sunbridge, ON, Heather Adams (Herbie) of Saint John, and Beverly Lloyd (Kevin) of Whitby, ON; brothers, Pete and Leslie Garnett, both of Saint John; eight grandchildren, as well as several great - grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634 - 1965) with visiting on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 12:05 PM. Interment to take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation, would be appreciated.

Anne Elizabeth "Betty" Scott
1931 - 2012

The death of Anne Elizabeth “Betty” (Haynes) Scott, of Saint John, NB, wife of the late George Edward Scott, occurred at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, NB, on Friday, May 25, 2012.

Born on April 26, 1931, she was a daughter of the late George Howard and Hilda Leola (Oram) Haynes. Betty was a lifelong resident of Saint John, except for six years when she resided in Ontario. She spent many years in Latimore Lake. The two greatest joys in her life were; her family and her trailer at Mohawk Campground in Grand Lake, where she spent many happy summers.

She will be sadly missed by her children; Anne Marie Schnare (Danny) of Saint John, George Michael (Margaret) of Quispamsis, NB, Catherine Elizabeth Guerrier of Saint John, Paul Anthony (Sharon) of Bayswater, NB, Robert Christopher (Terri) of Saint John, Susan Angela Scott (Danny) of Saint John, Patrick Joseph (Andrea) of Saint John, John Francis (Shauna) of Quispamsis, James William (Tracy) of St. Martin’s, NB, Daniel Howard (Michelle) of Red Head, NB, Donald Edward (Sheryl) of Saint John, Kimberly Rose Green (Jeff) of Rothesay, NB, Sharon Louise Mattsson (Gerry) of Rothesay, and Keith Jordan (Laura) of Fredericton, NB, her brother; Bob Haynes, sisters; Sharon McGuigan, Lynne Walker and Barbara MacDonald, thirty three grandchildren, five step - grandchildren, twelve great - grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews and many special friends.

Besides her husband, Betty was predeceased by her children, Mary Teresa Scott and Charles David Scott, brothers; Harry and Charles Haynes and sister, Carol Dykens.

At Betty’s request, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a reception will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Hall, Rothesay. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634 - 1965). In Lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick.

Michael Clain Jr.
1974 - 2012

CLAIN, Michael Douglas Jr. … The death of Michael Douglas Clain Jr. occurred unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday May 3rd. He is survived by his father Michael Sr, and his mother Catherine (Hughes), three sons; Michael III, Kyle, Christian, four daughters; Catelynn, Kelsey, Kendra, Khloe, one brother Dakota, one sister Christine as well as a very special friend Gina Goguen.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street (634 - 1965) with visitation on Monday May 7th from 2 … 4 and 7 … 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 8th at 1:00pm in the Chapel followed by cremation. Donations to the Drug Abuse Resistance Education, (D.A.R.E.) would be appreciated by the family.

Sister Loretta Mary Ehman
1920 - 2012

The death of Sister Loretta Ehman (Sister Mary Vincentia), occurred on Wednesday evening, May 9, 2012 at the Ruth Ross Residence. Sister was born December 5, 1920 in Holdfast, Saskatchewan and was the daughter of the late Leo Joseph and Eva (Kloschinsky) Ehman.

Loretta was a Registered Nurse by profession and nursed for six years in Saskatchewan before entering the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Conception on February 2, 1948 in Saint John, New Brunswick. She was a medical supervisor from 1949 - 1952 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Saint John. Sister continued her nursing profession at Holy Family Hospital in Prince Albert from 1965 - 1968 and then moved to Vancouver, British Columbia where she continued her studies. Sister Loretta returned to Saint John, New Brunswick and held the position of Co - ordinator of Restorative Services at the Mater Misericordiae Home and Rocmaura Nursing Home from 1970 - 1982. Sister moved to Vancouver and nursed at St. Vincent’s Hospital until 1998 when she retired and returned to Saint John. Sister resided at Ruth Ross Residence in Saint John.

She is survived by her sisters; Kathleen Rink of Westbank, BC and Mildred Schatz of Regina, SK as well as one sister in law, Charlotte Ehman of Regina, SK and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Sister Loretta was predeceased by two brothers; Gustave and Peter Ehman and one sister; Doreen Anheliger.

Resting at Ruth Ross Residence with visiting on Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm with a prayer vigil at 3pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Ruth Ross Residence Carmel Chapel on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10:00am. Interment will take place in the Sisters of Charity Plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634 - 1965).

Gregory Joseph McGinnis
1931 - 2012

With his family at his side, Gregory Joseph McGinnis of Rocmaura Nursing Home, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Greg was the son of the late Harry and Helen (McDonald) McGinnis. Greg was a lifelong Longshoreman and the Past Vice President of the Atlantic Coast District of the ILA, as well as president of ILA #273 in Saint John, NB. In addition, he was the past director and president of the ICCA.

Greg is survived by his nephews and his nieces, John (Michele) McDade, Greg (Susan) McDade, Mary (Brian) Delaney, Paul (Joanne) McGinnis, Catherine (Brian) McParland, Peter (Ida) McGinnis, Christine (Bill Pump) McGinnis, and Maureen (Neil) McKeown. Greg was predeceased by his sister and brother - in - law, Helen and John McDade, and his brother and sister - in - law, William and Wanda McGinnis, and his nephew, Michael McGinnis.

The family wishes to thank Greg's caregiver, Joanne Lingley, and Rocmaura Nursing Home for all their care and support.

Resting at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634 - 1965) with visiting on Friday 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 10:00 AM. Interment to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the SPCA or to a charity of the donors choice.

Blanche "Bonnie" Saab
1928 - 2012

SAAB, BLANCHE “Bonnie” - With saddened hearts we announce Bonnie’s passing May 5th, 2012, at Bobby’s Hospice. She was 83 years old, born in Elgin, New Brunswick to Parents Annie Carter and Hamilton Kyle. She spent her childhood in the Albert County area of New Brunswick, eventually moving with her family to Sunnybrae (Moncton). As a teenager, she accepted the opportunity to work at the international air force base in Goose Bay, NFLD. Later she set out to see more of the world, travelling to Boston, Massachusetts, to live and work. Upon returning to New Brunswick, she settled in Saint John where she met her future husband, Joseph Saab. They married June 10, 1953 at St. Peter’s church. Bonnie and Joe’s first child, Brenda Ann, died at birth, February 1956. Bonnie is survived by Three children; Peter Kyle (Lana), Tracey Anne (Daniel), and Lana Marie (Dennis) six Grandchildren; Ashley, Emily, Brittany, Jonathan, Andrea and Darcy, two sisters; Lois Kolbuck and Beulah Gallant, two recent special additions to her family; Caitlin and Jordon, as well as several wonderful nieces and nephews. Bonnie was predeceased by her husband, parents and siblings, Leo, Gordon and Audrey Kyle.
Bonnie was a devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She cherished her sister, Beulah and her many special friends. She found great joy in the natural beauties and simplicities of life. She will be forever missed.

Helen Lenihan
1911 - 2012

Lenihan, Helen A. … Surrounded by her family, the death of Helen Agnes Lenihan of Saint John, wife of the late Thomas Lenihan, occurred on Monday, May 14, 2012 at her residence, at the age of 101. Born in Damascus on March 3, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Marcella (O’Brien) Maguire.

Helen was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital for 17 years. She was a member of the CWL and the Miraculous Metal Society.

Survived by her sons, Joseph (Marijke) and Brian, both of Saint John; daughter, Theresa Furlong of Saint John, ten grandchildren, as well as several great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews and godchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her brothers, Robert and Herbert Maguire; sisters, Kay Dawson, Marcella McGassic and Mable Murphy and son - in - law, Roland Furlong.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634 - 1965) with visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2 … 4 and 7 - 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception at 9:00AM. Interment to take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Golden Grove. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

David W. McEachern
1944 - 2012

The death of David “The Whammer” McEachern, of Saint John, husband of Kathleen (Demmings) McEachern, occurred on Monday, May 14, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, on November 21, 1944, he was a son of the late Mary (Masterson) McEachern.

David was a pipefitter and member of Local #213. He was a past member of the Scouts, he also enjoyed working on cars, fishing and camping.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Cindy McEachern of Moncton, NB; stepsons, Greg MacVicar (Lise) of Quispamsis, NB, and Troy MacVicar (Wendi) of Willow Grove, NB,; sisters, Marie McEachern of Saint John and Isabel Appleby of Miramichi, NB; grandchildren, Corey MacVicar, Ethan and Molly MacVicar and Ethan Lumsden; nieces, Kay Fitgerald and Joy Kitchen; sister - in - law, Ruth McEachern; bother - in - law, Roy Russell, as well as extended family, Gilda Smith, Llewellyn Smith, Jessie McLean, Gale McLeod and Sandra Wells and their families.

David was predeceased by his brother, Merle McEachern and sisters, Leona Jeans and Loretta Russell.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street, Saint John (634 - 1965) with visiting on Wednesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM. Interment to take place in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Nelson, Miramichi on Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Boys and Girls Club or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
