ARNOLD, WILLIAM "BILL" LINDEN

Passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, April 3rd, 2009. He was the son of the late William and Marion (Jones) Arnold. Loving husband of Freda (Curtis) Arnold, for 62 years. Bill served with the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II. He loved repairing cars and building his cottage. He was good at all things including plumbing and electrical. He enjoyed reading both English and French literature. He loved the outdoors, and in his younger years, hunting, fishing, skiing, skating, and baseball. He also was a big fan of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team. Bill's career began in Montreal and came to Saint John in 1970. He worked at the CPR Railway for 40 years from 1948 - 1988 and enjoyed his employment there and his meetings with Mr. K.C. Irving, The McCain's and the Oland's Breweries. He retired with the title of District Manager of Marketing and Sales for the Maritimes; however, continued to work for Seabord and then Tech Pro. Bill was involved in the Traffic Club and was awarded "Man of the Year" by the Transportation Industry on June 02, 1988 for his outstanding contributions and achievements. He enjoyed spending time with his family and looked forward to holidays at the cottage, in Quebec. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Linda (Peter) D'Arcy; two sons, Alan Curtis (Glenda) and Christopher Travers (Lori); three grandchildren, Monique, Emerson and Ashton Arnold and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Garbish and Frances Ludlow and brother, Llewellyn Arnold. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Monday, April 6th, 2009 and Tuesday, April 7, 2009 from 2to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, with a Legion Service on Tuesday at 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 8th, 2009 at 10:00 am from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery. There will be a reception at the Fallsview Family Reception Center, following the interment. Donations, in memory of Bill, may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.

Albert J. Richard
1913 - 2008

Albert J. Richard, 95, of Cap-Pelé passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont Hospital, Moncton. Born June 4, 1913 in Petit-Cap, he was the son of the late Anastas and Anna (LeBlanc) Richard. As a young man, Albert worked in the United States before returning to Cap-Pelé where he met and married Edmée LeBlanc. They started their family of four sons and four daughters before moving to Nova Scotia, settling in Pictou. Albert worked for Ferguson Industries (Pictou Shipyards) for 35 years before retiring and returning to Cap-Pelé. He will be sadly missed by three daughters: Lorraine MacInroy (Ken) of Sardis, B.C., Anna Seeley (Grant) of Baring, ME, Judith Stewart (Donald) of Scotsburn, N.S.; two sons: Alyre of Cap-Pelé, and Ernest (Donna) of Red Deer, AB; one sister Baselice "Bessie" Cyr (Arnold) of Pictou, N.S., one brother Léo (Armance) of Stoneham, MA; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his loss the children of his second wife Lucille: Gloria Richard (late Normand) of Petit-Cap, Clovis Jacob (Maryse) and Elsie Jacob (Rhéal Poirier) both of Shediac, Eddy Jacob (Lee) of Grand Bay, Dina Jacob of France and by several step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Edmée (LeBlanc) Richard, his second wife Lucille (Niles) Richard, two sons: Omer and infant Blair, daughter Albertine, three grandchildren: Judith, Richard and Bruce; by five brothers: Valerie, Oswald, Fred, Joe and Cliff; and by a step great grandson, Steven. Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, from 10 a.m. until time of departure (10:50 a.m.). Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Marjorie Pauline Nickerson
1929 - 2008

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our much loved sister and aunt Marjorie Pauline Nickerson at home in the early morning hours on Tuesday, December 16, 2008. Born October 9, 1929 in Pointe-du-Chêne, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Phoebe (Hendrickson) Fougère. She will be greatly missed by her sister Bessie MacGarvie (late Robert) of Pointe-du-Chêne, a brother Elie Fougère (Marie) of Shediac, a sister-in-law Elvira Simmons (late George) of Nova Scotia, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Clint Nickerson, a sister Iva Fenwick and by two brothers: Donald and Frank Fougère. As per Marjorie's wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Chapel Service will be held at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Shediac. Following the chapel service, a reception will be held at the Pointe-du-Chêne Community Hall. Gerald Ullman Milton
1923 - 2008

Gerald Ullman Milton, 85, who resided at the Country Care Special Care Home formerly of Albert Mines has gone to be with his Lord. He passed away peacefully on December 17, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital. Gerald was born in Albert Mines the son of the late Elijah and Mary (Irving) Milton. He worked for the Canadian Gypsum Company for many years and later worked as a carpenter until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Albert Mines Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Shepody Fish & Game Association and enjoyed attending the meetings when he was able. Above all things he was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he cherished times spent with his family. He was small in stature but had a huge heart. He will never be forgotten and will live on in the hearts of his family forever. "Be happy for me dear ones, You know I hold you near, Be glad I'm spending Christmas With Jesus Christ this year" He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Colleen Steeves (Paul) of Albert Mines; son, Doran Milton (Lorna) of Dawson Settlement; by his five precious grandchildren, Melissa, Nathan (Tamara Dempsey), Benjamin, Krista, and Erin (Carl Scott) and by his great granddaughter, Jade Scott. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Iona in 2006; an infant son; sisters, Effie, Marie and Hazel; and by a brother, Kenneth. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Thursday, December 18th from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, December 19th, 2008 at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating. Interment will be held in the Albert Mines Baptist Cemetery, Albert Mines. Jason Mathew Troy Arsenault
1984 - 2008

Jason Mathew Troy Arsenault passed away Monday December 15, 2008 in Riverview at the age of 24. Jason will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving mother Valerie Perron of Amherst, NS, sister Ashley LeBlanc, both step-fathers Jean Paul LeBlanc and Gerald Bell, a half-brother Matthew and a special uncle, Mike (Liz) and their four children. Visitation will take place from Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, NB (869-2007) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Friday December 19, 2008 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jamie Grooms officiating. Doreen Burnham

Doreen Olive (Eagles) Burnham, 71, of Upper Coverdale passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday December 16, 2008 at the Moncton Hospital following the sudden onset of meningitis. Born October 10, 1937 in Lewisville a daughter of the late Basil and Edna (Gillcash) Eagles she was the beloved wife and best friend for over 49 years to Fenwick. A graduate in 1956 of the former Salisbury Regional High School she graduated from the Nursing Training program at the Moncton City Hospital as an R.N. in 1959. She then began nursing at the hospital's Coronary Intensive Care Unit being one of the first to train under Dr. Turner and Dr. Stuart. She retired as Nursing Supervisor at the former Jordan Memorial Home in 1996. Her retirement years were filled with cooking, crafts, crocheting, gardening and happily cutting acres and acres of grass, not allowing anyone else to use the mower. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church in Salisbury. Survived and sadly missed by her husband Fenwick; children David and his wife Winnie (Richardson) of Upper Coverdale and their children Kyla, Lindy, Mandy and special chinese grandchild Sherry Liu Shijin; Kim Norden and her partner Stephen Taylor of Mannhurst and her children Nick and Melinda Guitard; Shelley Dyet and her husband Steve of Cambridge On., and their children Laura, Jessica and Tyler. Survived also by sisters Marilyn Bishop (Mel Leaman), Carolyn Prentice (Terry), Isabel Eagles, Barbara Robb, Georgia Dent (Daniel), her brother Bill Eagles (Patricia Leveque); brothers in law Alex Kerr and Sherman Hicks and by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Elaine Kerr, Lois Hicks and brothers, Merrill and Junior Eagles. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be Saturday December 20 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dick Black officiating. Interment at Five Points cemetery. If desired memorials to the Jordan Lifecare Center or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family. www.keirsteads.ca

Mr. Lawrence A. Breau
1959 - 2008

Miramichi, NB - Lawrence Alfred Breau, husband of Toby Breau, of Water Street, Miramichi, passed away as the result of a motor vehicle accident, on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at the age of 49. Born in Chatham, on, April 12, 1959, he was the son of Eugene and Isabel (Kingston) Breau. He was a sales representative for Harris & Roome Ltd. and attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi. He was a member of the Miramichi JayCee club. He is survived by his wife, the former Toby Gallant; two sons, Geoffrey Breau (Melanie) and Juston Breau, all of Ft. McMurray, Alta.; his parents, Eugene and Isabel Breau; one grandchild, Chandler; three sisters, Linda Mclean (David), Marilyn Breau, all of Miramichi, Gloria Breau, of Moncton; one brother, Robert Breau, of Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Valerie Holt. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday evening, from 7 to 9 pm and Friday, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at 11:30am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon, at 3 pm. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
