Johnville, New Brunswick

On Saturday August 4 2007 at the Northern Carleton Hospital Bath NB, Richard John Rideout of South Johnville NB. Born at Johnville NB on May 14- 1939 to the late Fred and Nona (Banks) Rideout.

Richard is survived by his wife Maxine (Armour) Rideout of South Johnville, his children, Cecilia Shannon, Greenfield NB, Anthony Armour , Saskatchewan , Tina McWaid (Roy) Williamstown NB, Charleen Rideout / Winmill, Fred Rideout, South Johnville NB, Delta Kinney(Eric) Grandfalls NB. Twenty grand-children, one great grandchild, a sister, Rowena and a brother Frederick, several cousin’s nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Richard is predeceased by brothers George and Herb, a sister Ada, a grand-daughter Jessie (Armour) Finnamore and a son-in law Jeffery Shannon.

Resting at the Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Rd. Jacksonville NB where friends may call on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday from theCarleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM with Pastor Darryl Crain officiating. Interment was in the Bristol Community Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Audrey Faye Snelgrove

Riverview, New Brunswick

Audrey Faye Snelgrove, 60, wife of Ralph Snelgrove, of Riverview and formerly of Hillsborough passed away peacefully on August 7, 2007 at the Moncton Hospital with her family by her side.

Audrey was born in Hillsborough on December 8, 1946 the daughter of Evelyn May (Smith) Jonah and the late Leon Jonah. Audrey was never afraid to try anything. She worked as a heavy equipment operator in Alberta, she was an aerobics instructor for years, and also a tour guide. She was always full of life and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed fishing, cross country skiing, mountain biking, and the beach. She also really enjoyed driving in her jeeps, having had several over the years. She enjoyed playing the piano, which she did really well. She also had a love for all animals, especially her dogs.

Audrey had a very outgoing personality and she will be remembered for her sense of humour and for her big generous laugh. Above all things she loved the times spent with her family. She was a perfect wife and mother and grandmother. Her memory will last forever and the good times will never be forgotten. She is now at peace cuddling with her beloved dog Ben.

Besides her mother, Evelyn May Jonah of Hillsborough she will be deeply missed by her loving husband and best friend Ralph; her cherished children, Terry Dixon-Parker (Mark) of Hillsborough and Jim Dixon (Dianne) of Montreal; and by her precious granddaughter Emma ; and sister Joanne Price (Tom) and brother Danny Jonah (Nancy). She will also be missed by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and by her many close friends. Besides her father, Leon Jonah, she was predeceased by a sister Jackeline "Jackie" Steeves.

The family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm for a time of sharing and reminiscing. A Memorial Service to celebrate Audrey's life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 10, 2007 at 2pm (come willing to share a funny story or memory of Audrey and the way she may have impacted your life).

Donations to the SPCA or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements are in the care of the Albert County Funeral Home, 4130 Route 114 Hopewell Cape 734-2780

Willard A. Killam

Petitcodiac, New Brunswick

Willard A. Killam ,63, of Petitcodiac passed away as a result of a boating accident Sunday August 6, 2007at Lower Musquash Island.

Born in Moncton he was a son of the late Lester (Doris) and Neillie Killam (Russ). Willard was in the trucking industry all of his life and since 1996 was the owner of Eagle Trucking Ltd. of Havelock. He enjoyed life to the fullest and spending time at the cottage with family and friends and his beloved dog “Sophie” was where he liked it best.

Survived and sadly missed by his wife the former Lois Brewster; three children Patsy White (Luke Corey) of Gibbons AB., Darrell (Krista) and Sherry McCully (Danny) of Petitcodiac, their mother Barbara Killam of Havelock; step-son Eugene Geldart of Windsor On.; cherished grandchildren Sarah White, Tiffany and Danny Hyatt, Bradley and Brittney McCully, Travis and Brandon Killam and Eric Geldart. Survived also by brothers Lorne (Sandy) of Plevena On., Carl (Bonnie) of Harewood, Glen (Marsha) of Havelock; a sister Carolyn MacManaman of Moncton; step-brothers Chester Mullin (Nancy), Danny Mullin (Judy); step-sisters Linda Atkinson (Reg), Mary-Ellen Taylor (Milton) and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Lawrence and William.

Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Petitcodiac Baptist Church on Friday August 10 at 2 p.m. Interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Petitcodiac.

If desired memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Martin (Marty) William Prosser

Hillsborough, New Brunswick

Martin William Prosser, 46, of Hillsborough passed away unexpectedly at his residence on August 12, 2007.

Martin was born in Moncton on June 2, 1961 the son of Noreen (Steeves) Prosser and the late William Prosser. He was a laborer at T.P. Downey & Sons and worked in the lumber mill. Marty enjoyed the outdoors and liked to fish and hunt. He spent time at the Hillsborough Legion and enjoyed playing darts. Marty was known to his family as Mr. Fix it, if it was broken, he would try his best to get it fixed. He enjoyed watching tv and movies. Marty was a true animal lover having a special bond with his dogs, he loved his three dogs, Anya, Jake and Bo. He was a special person who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family. He will be thought of often and he will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed by his mother Noreen (Steeves) Prosser of Hillsborough; his sisters Pam Wilson (Morris) of Hillsborough and Bonnie Steeves (Calvin) of Albert Mines. He will also be missed by his niece Kyla and nephews Scott and Shane; and by his great niece Alysha; and by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father William Prosser.

There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marty's life will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Friday, August 17, 2007 at 2pm with Pastor Leonard Geldart officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.

Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.

Joseph Chaisson
May 17, 1919 - Aug 13, 2007

Saint John, New Brunswick

At Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing, the passing of Joseph “Joe” Chaisson, husband of Sarah (Thomas) Chaisson, occurred on Monday, August 13, 2007. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late J. Theotime and Francoise (Frigault) Chaisson.

Joe was a Veteran of WWII as a Bombardier with the R.C.A., both in Canada and overseas. After his service in the army, Joe was employed with Vet’s Taxi for over 35 years, worked for Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home on a part-time basis and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 937. Joe was a past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 14, now Branch # 64.

Joe is survived by his wife, Sarah, two sons; Brian (Teresa) of Quispamsis and Micheal (Stephanie) of Ft. McMurray, AB. Four daughters; Joanne Chaisson, Gail MacQueen and Sharon Chaisson, all of Saint John and Lorraine Gadal (Jaymie) of Acton, ON. Ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Joe was predeceased by four brothers; Amos, Albert, Philias and Anthony. Six sisters; Mary, Josephine, Josephine M., Adonise-Margaret, Doris and Edith.

Resting at Fitzpatrick’s Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo Street with visiting on Wednesday, 7-9, Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Pius X Church on Friday, August 17th at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing Comfort Fund or a Charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Members of the Knights of Columbus will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday evening for prayers at 7:00 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion will gather at the funeral home on Thursday evening for a “Tribute to a Veteran” Service at 7:00 pm.
