WHELPLEY, ANNA GEORGINA - The death of Anna Georgina Whelpley of Carter's Point, wife of Stanley Whelpley occurred June 13, 2006 at her residence. She was born in Saint John, daughter of the late James and Ethel (Perry) Wilcox. Surviving besides her husband Stanley are three daughters, two sons, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The arrangements have been entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), Hampton. The will be no visitation or funeral service by request. A committal service will be held Saturday, 3:30pm at Hardings Point Loyalist Cemetery. Memorials to Hardings Point Loyalist Cemetery or Parish of Kingston would be appreciated. Ronald Huntington Duffy 1932 - 2006 It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Ronald "Ron" Huntington Duffy of Salisbury Road, Moncton, who succumbed to cancer June 13, 2006. Born in Moncton on July 8, 1932, he was the son of the late Roy and Helen (Cobbett) Duffy. Ron worked for the CNR for 37 years as a carman; Day and Ross from 1988-1992; drove school bus with Metro until his retirement in 1997 for the Petitpas family. These were his most enjoyable years. He kept his charter bus license and was dedicated to the bus ministry bringing the children to Church until his recent illness, and The K. E. Spencer Home (2005 with Susan Steeves). He was a member of the Allison Baptist Church and also attended Uplands Baptist Church. He was an avid sports fan, including stock car racing, hockey, and baseball. He is survived by his wife, Donna (Demmings) Duffy; sons, Ronald "Ron" E. Duffy (Kim Lutes) and her daughter, Jenna, and Tracy C. Duffy (Gail) and grandchildren, Paige and Alyson, who he loved with all his heart; special cousins, Walter, Norman and Ralph Steeves of Berry Mills. He and Ralph spent many hours visiting and watching sporting events. Also by long time friends, Leona Newman and Evelyn Vickers. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Duffy. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz Street, Moncton on Thursday, June 15, 2006 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. "Due to allergies, no scented products please". The Funeral Service will be held at The Uplands Baptist Church on Friday, June 16, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon James officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. In Ron's memory, donations made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital, Oncology Unit, Palliative Care Unit, or to the Uplands Baptist Church would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, (506) 857-8564.

Thomas Murray Campbell ST. CATHARINES, ON - Thomas (Tom) Campbell passed away June 9, 2006 at the Henley House, St. Catharines, On. Born in 1941, son of the late Gilbert and Elizabeth Campbell of Fords Mills, NB. He is survived by sisters, Kathleen of San Francisco, Jessie (Walter) Chapman of Moncton, Margaret (Leonard) Mitchell of Galloway and brother, James (Joyce) of Riverview. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, Allan, Robert and Charles and sister, Mary. Committal service in Bass River, NB at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.

Sally Miller MONROVIA, LIBERIA - Sally Miller passed away in Monrovia, Liberia (Africa) on June 9, 2006, at 63 years old. She was the daughter of the late Ted Miller & Isabelle Ogilvie. At the time of her death, Miss Miller was the Head of Delegation in Liberia for the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and had been working closely with the Liberian Red Cross Society for the past three years. She has devoted herself for this association through the years in Canada and many countries such as Thailand, Cambodge, Haiti, Congo, Ouganda and more. The loss of such a great woman will be deeply felt in our province. She is survived by four brothers, Bob (Jean) from Halifax, Bill (Hilda) from Vancouver, John (Louise) from Moncton and Carl (Diane) from Campbelton. The funeral arrangement will be announced at a later date. Funeral arrangements are by J.B. Côté & Son Funeral Home, 160 Church Street, Edmundston, N.B. E3V 1K2.

PARKER, C. WARNER - At Charlotte County Hospital, St. Andrews, NB, Saturday, June 10, 2006, Warner Parker, of St. Andrews, NB, passed away after a lengthy illness. Survived by his wife, Thérèse (Terry) (St. Pierre) Parker; one sister, Faith (Robert) Bronson, of Cazenovia, New York; two sons, Donald of Montreal and Rick (Shelley Strauss) Parker, of Pensacola, Florida; one step-daughter, Diane (Paul) Raymond of Halifax, NS and one stepson, Pierre (Nicole Corthésy) Blondin of Longueuil, Quebec. No visitation will be held by request. Graveside Service will be held at the St. Andrews Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Andrews, NB on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 11am. Arrangements in care of The S.O. ELLIOTT, VIOLA (MILLS) The death of Viola (Mills) Elliott, wife of the late Stanley Elliott, occurred on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born on February 24, 1917, she was the daughter of Marshall and Helena (Whittaker) Mills. Viola graduated from FHS and PNS (1936), she taught for two years, worked in the Marysville Cotton Mill. Later she took secretarial training and worked for the Canadian Pacific Express for 25 Years. She was a member of Olivet Wesleyan Church, the Marysville and Devon Seniors Clubs, she enjoyed playing Bridge, bowling, watching Toronto Blue Jay games and her time spent with friends and family. She is survived by one son, Ronald (Patricia Frizzle) Elliott of Fredericton NB; one brother, Stanley (Della) Mills; two grandchildren, Jane (Daniel) Smith and Amy (Stephen) Gough; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Doris Timms and Mildred Allen; one brother, Philip Mills; and grandson, Ashley Elliott. Visitation will be held at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton on Monday, June 12, 2006 from 7 to 9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 2pm from Olivet Wesleyan Church, Marysville, NB, with Dr. Tom Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the Olivet Wesleyan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Olivet Wesleyan Church, Parkinson's Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. Frank Takiff MONTREAL, PQ - On Saturday, June 10th, 2006, in Montreal, in his ninety-seventh year. Beloved husband of Rosaline Ross for forty-five years. Devoted father and father-in-law of Pearl and Benny May, Merle Reisler, Beverly and Danny Brotman, and David Takiff. Cherished Zaida of Brian May, Naomi and Michael Roberts, Tara May; Amy Reisler; Felicia and Kayla Brotman. Proud great grandfather of Mark, Abby and Jodie Roberts. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Jean and the late Jack Guss, the late Max Takiff and the late Chava Takiff. Frank will be sadly missed by Phyllis and Monica Guss, family and friends. Ainsley W. Steeves PETITCODIAC, NB - Ainsley W. Steeves of Petitcodiac, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2006, at the Moncton Hospital, at the age of 91. Born in Meadow, Albert County, he was the son of the late Ainsley and Adelaide Steeves. He was a carpenter and heavy equipment operator, having worked at Fawcett's for 20 years. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served overseas with the Cape Breton Highlanders. He was a member of the Salisbury Senior Citizens and Monday Morning Merry Makers. He is survived by a daughter, Audrey MacKillop of Petitcodiac; sisters, Thelma Mitton of Petitcodiac, Beatrice Cameron of Petitcodiac; grandchildren, Robert, Lisa, Lori; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys (Thompson); brothers, Herman and Thomas; sisters, Annie, Gladys, Christina. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac, where visiting hours will be held Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 41 will be holding a memorial service at the funeral home, Tuesday at 6:45pm. The funeral service will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at 3pm, with Rev. G. Cook officiating. The burial will be held at Maplewood Cemetery.
