passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 17, 1990 at Perrins Nursing Home, Long Pond, Manuels age 56 years. Predeceased by mother, Ann 1988 and brother Edward 1988. Leaving to mourn two sisters: Geraldine (Mrs. Vincent Kavanaugh), Flatrock and Mary (Mrs. John Butler), Torbay. Sister-in-law, Sally Martin, New Jersey. Also, several nieces and nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay. Funeral Mass on Saturday, 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael's Parish, Flatrock. Interment to follow at R.C. cemetery, Flatrock.

Passed peacefully away at Hrbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear on Sunday, December 1, 1996, Joseph P. McDonald of Carbonear, age 69 years. Predeceased by brother Edward, 1991. Leaving to mourn, wife Lillian; four daughters: Bernice (Gord) Carter, Wesleyville. Bev (Jim) Case, Mt. Pearl, Elaine (Dave) Kavanaugh, Bristol's Hope and Donna (Paul) Batstone, Badgers Quay; four sons: Ronald (Bev), Victoria, Bernard (Colleen), Riverhead, Harbour Grace, Joseph (Florence), Carbonear and Robert (Kin\m), Ont; 15 grandchildren; three sisters: Dorthy Judge, Small Point, Anne (Tom) Traverse, Kingston and Bell (Dom) Mullay, Northern Bay; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel's Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear from where the funeral will take place on Wednesday, December 4 at 10:00 a.m. Mass to follow at 10:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church and cemetery, Carbonear. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Parkinson's Foundations. Visitation hours at Noel's Funeral Home are 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. daily.

O'Brien, Catherine Veronica

(Torbay) Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Sunday, September 29th, 1996 at 6:35 p.m., age 72 years. Leaving to mourn her husband Thomas (Joe); brother Al Wade; daughters Helen, Margaret, Patricia, Angela, Colleen, and Maureen; sons Gary and Patrick; five grandchildren: Adam, Trevor, Mitchell, Justin and Selena. Also a large circle of relatives and friends, including a very special friend, Margaret Power. Remains resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay. Funeral to take place at Holy Trinity Church Wednesday, October 2nd, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Torbay. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at St Clare's or the the Children's School Lunch Program.

Leaving to mourn two sons: Patrick (wife Rita), Torbay, Thomas who resided with her; three daughters: Mary Martin (husband Dave), Winnipeg, Man., Sadie Monahan (husband Mike), St. John's, Bridie Evans (husband Jim), St. John's; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; very special niece Mary (Colmey) Peters, L.A.; special grand-nephew Vincent Simone of Virginia; three very good friends: Maggie Quigley, Mary Tilley, Carmel Flemming. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay. Funeral 10 a.m. on Wednesday from Holy Trinity Church.

Predeceased by her husband Denis in 1997, baby daughter Alice, brother Richard English in 1999. Leaving to mourn sons: Ray (Maureen), Gerald (Ollie), Pat (Bernadette), Leo (Cecilia), Denny (Rhonda); daughters: Mary Whitten (Edward), Sis Earle (Don) and Helen Ryan (Tom); sister Helen (Nellie) Hyde; brother Gerarld English; 23 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; special friend Peggy Greenslade; and a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., 7-10 p.m. Monday, 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass to be held on Wednesday, July 5th, 2000 at 11:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery. Flowers greatfully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Leaving to mourn her loving husband Ronald; four children: Bernadette Neary (Jerome), Jerome Martin (Carm), Gene Martin (Charmaine), Paula Monks (Ron); one sister: Sade Stamp; two sisters-in-law: Maggie and Adele; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a large circle of relatives and friends; her special friend: Bernadine Power and her bingo buddies (especially Lil Shea and Dorth Moran.) Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay on Sunday, February 20, 2000 from 7-10 p.m., Monday, February 21 at 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, February 22, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Michael's Church, Flatrock. Cremation to follow.
