Michael G Hewitt
(October 14, 1930 - May 31, 2013)

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Hewitt Sr. of Trepassey, announce his death which occurred on Friday, May 31, 2013, at St. Clare’s Hospital. Born on October 14th, 1930 in Trepassey, NL, he was the son of the late Joseph Hewitt and Agnes (Sutton). Michael made many lifelong friendships during his time spent employed as a chef at St. Clare’s. He liked to spend time in the woods fishing and picking berries. Somehow he always knew where there were berries and where the best places were to catch fish. Michael loved his farm animals and always had fresh eggs for sale. He was always up for a game of cards with his family. Michael will always be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, his children Edward (Sadie), Billy, Michael Jr. (Debbie), Noel (Gloria) all of Trepassey, Tony (Joy), Jeanette Hewitt (Martin), Colleen Seydell (John) all of St. John’s, Marcheta Costello of Quispamsis and his sister Marie (Frank) of St. John’s. Also his step daughter Barbara Vokey (Stan) of Trinity, daughter-in-law, Rhonda Hewitt of Eastport; sister-in-law Doris Hunt (Carl) of Corner Brook and brother-in-law Ron Dewling (Dot) of Paradise. Also leaving to mourn many grandchildren; great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and dear friends. He was predeceased by his wife Mary, son Kenneth, daughter Shirley and granddaughter Dana. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his homecare workers: Shirley Dean, Gloria Hewitt, Edwina Dobbin, ambulance drivers, and the staff of the dialysis unit at St. Clare’s who showed great kindness and care to their dad. Resting at Faheys Funeral Home, Trepassey (709) 438-2159, with visitation on Saturday, June 1, 7-9 pm and Sunday, June 2, from 10:30-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Monday, June 3, 10-12. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Trepassey; on Monday, June 3, at 1 pm. Interment will take place at Holy Redeemer cemetery immediately following the service. The family would like to invite you back to the church hall for a small reception following the internment. James Michael Kennedy
(December 6, 1928 - May 28, 2013)

Kennedy – James Michael Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving and devoted family on May 28th 2013, James Kennedy of Shoal Point Trepassey, in his 84 year. Predeceased by his wife Ann, parents William and Josephine, Brothers Edward (Elizabeth) and Albert. His sister Regina. Leaving to mourn with loving memories, wonderful stories and songs his children Ruth Martin (Dave), Ann Marie Luther (Chuck), Edward, Cush Brown (Gerry) and Angus. His treasured grandchildren Stephen (Lola), Nancy (Brendon), Amanda (Mark) Michael (Kristen), Katie (Jason), Sarah and his precious little great granddaughter Charlee Ann. Also leaving to mourn his sisters Rita Finlay, Marge Harper (Ralph), Mary Keiley, Anne, his brother Bill (Donna), sister in law Kathleen Kennedy and many devoted nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family wish to extend a special thank you to all who helped so much with his care, the cancer clinic staff, Dr. McCarthy, Dr. Hewitt and staff. Wallace Francis Clowe
(June 4, 1956 - April 26, 2013)

Passed peacefully away with family at his side, at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Friday, April 26th, 2013 age 56 years. Predeceased by his father Austin (April 28th, 2002). Left with fond and loving memories, his mother Alice (Bernard), five brothers, Brian (Helen), Barry (Muriel), Don (Maxine). Carl (Beverly), Tony (Nikki), four sisters, Lisa (Gary), Connie, Lorna (Glenn), and Jennifer (Brian). Also leaving to mourn his children Carolyn and Mark (Nicole) and grandson Declan. Also a large number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends especially his caregivers and friends from Fahey’s PCH-Fermeuse, 7 East St. Clares Mercy Hospital, 5 NA HSC, and staff of 2NA St. Patrick’s Mercy Home. Visitation to be held at Fahey’s Funeral Home Fermeuse, Saturday April 27th, 2-9 p.m., Sunday April 28th 2–9 p.m. Funeral to be held Monday, April 29th at Holy Trinity Church at 11 a.m. Interment at RC cemetery Ferryland. (May 2, 1926 - April 20, 2013)

Passed peacefully away with family at her side, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Saturday, April 20, 2013. Predeceased by her parents Peter & Ethel Barnable, husband Fred Clowe, brother Joseph Barnable, sisters Kathleen Barnable, Margaret Gulliver and brother-in law Paddy Gulliver.

Left with fond memories: her children; Angus, Greg, Kevin, Kathleen Kitto (Ben) South Dakota and devoted daughter Sharon, brother Fred (Marion) Ontario, grandchildren; Blair Clowe, Jason Kitto ( Cori), Kristen Arnoldy (Dan), Amber Beckham (Tim), great-grandchildren Sawyer and Cordelia Kitto and Gunner Arnoldy, nieces and nephews: Pam Smith (Rick), Paula Ward (Shawn), Greg Gulliver (Debbie), Bill Gulliver (Sunny) and Pat Gulliver (Kim), her care givers Patricia Walsh and special thank you to Christopher Maher. Mary leaves a long list of friends especially Lizzy Croft, Joan Costello, Rita Johnston, Theresa Walsh, Betty Lomasney, Dolly O’Keefe, Alice Kavanagh, Jen Everard, Kit Clowe and members of The 50+ Club and her cat Ginger.

Visitation at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Fermeuse, Sunday, April 21st 7-9pm and Monday, April 22nd 2-9pm. Funeral to be held on Tuesday, April 23rd at Holy Trinity Church at 11am. Ida Kinsella(nee Moore) October 29,1928 --April20,2013-Retired Post-Mistress of Ferryland. passed away peacefully at St. Patricks Mercy Home on Saturday ,April 20,2013 at the age of 84, Ida Kinsella of Ferryland. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years Jackie Kinsella ,mother Teresa Moore ,father Michael Moore .Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Joan(Hubert Hutchings),Dianne(Keith Hannem), Emma(Rick Tillotson), Alf(Marion), Theresa(Peter Hildebrandt), and Ray. Grand Children:Bradley Morry, David Tillotson, Donna Tillotson, Daryl Hutchings, Nadine Kinsella, Blair Hutchings, Holly Hildebrandt .Great Grand Children: Riley Hutchings,Charlotte Tillotson. Mary Ellen Hynes
June 1, 1920 - May 5, 2013

On May 5, 2013 Mary Hynes of Ferryland (nee Mary Ellen O’Neill of Long Beach) passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus. Predeceased by her loving husband, Thomas Hynes, her parents, Thomas and Matilda O’Neill, her brother, Bob and her sister, Peg Tobin, she leaves, with cherished memories and stories, her children and their families; her only daughter, Evelyn (Grant, Glenn, Denise and Michael ) and her four sons, Ron (Susan, Lori, Rebecca, Elena, Lily, Andrew, Matteo, Jacob, Ethan and Ostara), Gordon (Janet, Melissa and Nick, Paul, Rebecca and Ashley), Gary (Dolores, Michael, Joel and Percy, Lois and Gabriel ) and Keith (Carmenn, Micheal and Khristal). Also left to celebrate the memories of a life well-lived are her brothers, Bill (Alice), John, Kevin and Sonny, her dear sisters, Gert Curtis and Catherine Pennell and their families, as well as, sisters-in-law, Veronica Hynes, Cecelia McKinnon, Rita Maddock, Maria Cleary and brother-in law, Aiden Hynes(Edna) , Special friend Elroy Hynes(Maureen) and their families. A special thank-you to Mom’s caregivers for their exemplary care and compassion shown during the past three years. Viewing will take place at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Fermeuse, from 2 to 9 pm on Tuesday, May 7 and on Wednesday, May 8. A wake vigil is scheduled at Fahey’s Funeral Home for 7:00 on Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Trinity Church, Ferryland at 11:00, Thursday, May 9, followed by interment at Holy Trinity cemetery, Ferryland. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Alverna Mary Sullivan
November 11, 1927 - May 7, 2013

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, on May 7, 2013, Alverna Mary Sullivan of St. John’s (formerly Fermeuse) in her 86th year. Predeceased by her parents: Andrew and Elizabeth Kenny; husband Jim; brothers: Ted, Clifford, Albert, and Fabian (Katherine); sisters: Kathleen (Arthur Pelley), Anita (Mike O’Dea), and Genton (Stan Burton). Leaving to mourn with loving memories, daughters: Marilyn and Sharon (Bernie); sons: Ken, Ron (Eva) and Shawn (Sandi); grandchildren: Justin (Sierra) and Ryan Parker, Scott (Andrea) and Jodi Hunt, Jamie and K.J. Sullivan, Colin, Ryan and Dani Sullivan, Abbey and Nicholas Sullivan; great-grandchildren: Bronson and Keston Hunt; sister Vera Hagan; brothers: Loyola (Beth) Kenny and Ed (Gen) Kenny; sisters-in-law: Jean Kenny, Marion Kenny, Ruth Kenny; as well as many other family members and friends. (March 29, 1936 - October 7, 2014)

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that the family of the late Junior Meade announces his sudden passing at St. Clares Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Junior was predeceased by his Father and Mother (James Sr. and Mary Molly Meade), brothers (Donald and Cecil/Veronica Meade) and sisters (Kathleen/Jim O' Brien and Doris Meade), brothers in law (Doug Morry, Bill Smith and Leo Trainer), Mother and Father in law (James and Agnes Ryan) and members of the Ryan Family . Always remembered by his loving wife Patricia, three sons Steve (Noella), Tony and Willy, one daughter Molly (Tommy), three precious grandsons Fred, Nick and Noah, sisters Nellie Morry, Bertha Smith and Gert Trainer/Steve, the Ryan Family and large circle of neices, nephews and friends. Lawrence Michael Molloy
(September 3, 1915 - October 9, 2014)

Sept 1915 - Oct 2014. It is with a touch of sadness, but with much appreciation for his long life, that we announce the passing of our dad, Lawrence Molloy, at the St John's Long Term Care Facility on Thursday, October 9. Predeceased by his wife Margaret (nee Finlay), parents, Bridget (nee Gibbons) and Patrick Molloy, his sister, Violet Stampe, son Lawrence and daughter Marion Corcoran. He leaves to mourn six daughters and two sons, Bridget, Lucella (Walter Kennedy) Rose, Violet, Shirley (Peter King) Denise, Loyola (Shawna) and Barry. He also leaves to mourn nineteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and many extended family and friends. The family extends a huge thank-you to the staff of Hoyles Escasoni Complex where Dad resided and where his humor, wit and daily interactions will be long remembered. His remains will be resting at Our Lady of Fatima funeral home in St. Shott's on Friday, Oct. 10, 2:00pm - 9:00pm and Saturday, Oct 11, 10am - 2pm.
