It is with great sadness that the family of Walter Joseph Young announce his passing at the Miller Center in St. John's on Sunday, February 2, 2003 at the age of 79 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: Dorothy (Curtis) Garnier, Richard (Christine) both of Churchill Falls, Lab, Ronald (Anne), Corner Brook, Brenda (Butch) Barron, Stephenville, Elizabeth (Hughie) McLean, Barachois Brook; 16 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sisters: Anne (Fred) Perrier, St. George's, Ceoilla (John) Companion, Gull Pond, Rita Hall, BC, Susan Hillier and Marion Cheater both of Barachois Brook, Marie Young, Shallop Cove, Rose (Dave) Morgan, Port au Port East, Kay (Bert) Brockway, Curling; brothers: Wally, John (Lucy), Gordon (Kay) all of Shallop Cove. He is predeceased by his wife Mary Cavell Young, parents Wallace and Margaret; brother Edward and sisters: Teresa Rodford and Helina. Visitation will begin at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in St. George's on Tuesday beginning at 2 from where the funeral mass will take place on Wednesday February 5, 10 am with Father Ariel Garcia officiating. Interment will follow at the Anglican Church cemetery, St. George's. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.

BENOIT, Terry
of Mainland, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Terry Benoit announce his sudden passing in Mainland at the age of 27. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his parents, Walter Jr. and Rose Benoit, Mainland; brother Gary (Deanna), Ontario; sisters: Jessica (Shane), Ontario; Kimberley, Mainland; Amanda, Piccadilly; Tiffany, Mainland; grandmother, Margaret (Momma) Benoit; his biological mother, Jean Formanger, along with a large circle of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Roy (1978), grandfather Walter Sr., and his cousin Nicks. Visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at St. Ann's Chapel, Mainland, from where the Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, December 6th at 2:00 p.m., Father Jan Gal officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery, Mainland. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Ann's Chapel Memorial Fund. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, 25 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville.

WHEELER, Lizzy
Ship Cove, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth (nee Simon) Wheeler announce her passing at the Health Science Centre in St. John's on November 1,2002 at the age of 75 years. She will be sadly missed by her family and a large circle of relatives and friends. Left to mourn are her husband, Elmer and daughter, Audrey, grandson, Darrin of Alberta and granddaughter, Ronalda of Ontario, two great grandchildren, Nelson and Nathan and her brother Michael of Deer Lake, sister, Youenna Pichette of Boston and all of her brothers and sisters-in-law on the Simon and Wheeler sides of her family. Friends Monday from 2-4 p.m. and after 4 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Piccadilly and on Tuesday. Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, November 6th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Piccadilly. Cremation Service will take place after the Funeral Service at Russell's Crematorium, Stephenville.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace W. Cornect announce his peaceful passing surrounded by his loving family at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Friday, November 1, 2002 at the age of 82 years. He will be sadly missed by his sons, Wallace Jr. (Valerie), Alban (Elizabeth), Gilbert, all of Cape St. George, Leo Paul (Debbie) of Felix Cove, Bertram (Debbie) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Tony (Stacey)of Stephenville, Adrian (Susan) of Saint John, New Brunswick and his daughters: Florence (Joseph) Simon, Sharon (Eric) Organ, Brampton, Ontario, Beverley (Bert) Rowe of Cape St. George and his daughters/granddaughters: Delia (Phonse) Benoit, Kirn (Marcel) Skinner of Brampton, Ontario and twenty-one grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and his sister, Flo Domney of Halifax, Nova Scotia and sister-in-law, Mary Cornect of Kippens and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Cornect on August 26, 2002 and his daughter, Cecilia on September 17, 1976. Friends may call at Our Lady of the Cape Parish on Monday. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, November 5th at 2:00 p.m. from Our Lady of the Cape Parish, Cape St. George with Interment in the Roman Catholic cemetery in DeGrau.As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to Our Lady of the Cape Parish Memorial Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville.

passed away peacefully at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, Tuesday, October 29, 2002, Michael Jesso in his 100th year. Leaving to mourn are his brothers: Arthur, Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing and Andrew, Vermont, U.S.A.; sons: Gerard (Maria), Ontario, Lambert (Alma), Con (Viola), both of Port Au Port and Eddie (Beulah), Kippens; daughters: Maisie, Port Au Port, Maureen, Stephenville, Rona (Raymond), Sheaves Cove, and Riza (Jim), Florida, U.S.A., his care giver and daughter-in-law, Geraldine, Degrau. He will be sadly missed by his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren along with a large circle of relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his wife, Mary (Harmony); sons: Bernard, Elias and Clayton. Visitation will begin on Thursday at Our Lady of the Cape Roman Catholic Church, Degrau from where the funeral mass will take place on Friday, November 1st at 2:00 p.m. with Father Jan Gal officiating. Interment will follow at church cemetery, Sheaves Cove. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lionel LePrieur announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, September 14th, 2002 at the age of 76 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Dorothy, two sons; Terry (Amanda) in West Bay and Larry (Patricia) in Oshawa, Ont., four daughters; Nora (Joey) Bennett in Oshawa, Ont., Linda (Norman) Benoit in West Bay, Mary (Ross) Tourout in Winnipeg and Sally LePrieur (Jerome Duffenais) in Black Duck Brook. He also leaves one brother Reginald LePrieur in Corner Brook, nine grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation was held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish from where funeral services will take place on Monday, September 16th, 2002 at 2 p.m. with interment in the Roman Catholic cemetery in West Bay. Funeral arrangements were under the guidance of Russell's Funeral Home, Queen Street in Stephenville.

He will be sadly missed by his four sons: Leonard of Marches Point, Patrick of Brampton, Ontario, Marcel (Jennifer Quann) of Lourdes, Evan of Charlottetown, Ontario and six daughters: Julie Oliver of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Donna Lainey of Illnois, USA, Anita Renouf of Brampton, Ontario, Aileen Power of Edmonton, Glenda Renouf of Stephenville, Sherry (Frank Barren) of Scarborough, Ontario and four brothers: Limbert Renouf of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Jerome (Constance) Renouf of Cape St. George, Wallace (Dale) Renouf of Ship Cove, Albert (Carolyn) Renouf. of Saint John, New Brunswick and four sisters: Mary (Jack) Cormier of Cape St. George, Irene Young of Stephenville, Dulcie (Greg) Young of Marches Point, Alavine Layes of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, eleven grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Adolph and Josephine Renouf. Friends may call at Our Lady of the Cape Parish in Cape St. George on Tuesday (after 2:00 p.m.) and Wednesday. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 12th at 10:30 a.m. from Our Lady of the Cape Parish, Cape St. George with interment in the Roman Catholic cemetery in Marches Point. The family will be receiving friends at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piccadilly on Thursday from where funeral services will take place on Friday, August 30th, 2002 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Roman Catholic cemetery in Ship Cove.
