Pinsent, Olive

passed away at James Paton Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 5, 2009, Olive Pinsent of Musgrave harbour in her 88th year.

Predeceased by her husband; Adolphus and daughter-in-law; Irene Pinsent.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her 2 sons; Cecil (Maisie), Boyce all of Musgrave Harbour, 2 daughters; Doris Hicks (Ellis), Elizabeth Mouland (Wallace) all of Musgrave Harbour, 10 grandchildren; Michelle, Michael, Dean, Neil, Collin, Danny, Terry, Charlene, Shane and Shannon, 10 great Grandchildren; Sheldon, C.J., Brandon, Chasity, Andrew, Amber, Spencer, Allie, Roger and Michael, 1 Great-Great-granddaughter; Madison and also a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour with Majors Barry and Donna Anstey officiating.

Interment to follow at the Salvation Army cemetery, Musgrave Harbour.

Mouland, Edgar

passed away at his residence at Musgrave Harbour on Saturday, January 3, 2009 Edgar Mouland age 61 years.

There is so much one could say about Edgar, anyone who knew him had to love him.

He always had a smile, a story, or a joke to tell.

He loved life, his family and his many, many friends.

He had a passion for his game of darts, his trips in the woods, his job and his co-workers.

Born at Musgrave Harbour, June 16, 1947.

He was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Phemea Mouland.

Leaving to mourn his loving wife and best friend of 36 years, Ivy; his two children Janette (Corey) and Cliford (Stacy); his two grandchildren Coady and his special sweets Kylie; one brother Gurshon (Eleanor); two sisters Hazel (Arthur) and Marie; also his mother-in-law Janet whom he shared a special love for.

He had countless numbers of friends who he always enjoyed, two very dear friends Ray and Brent.

Today we celebrate the life of a perfect husband, father, grampa, brother and friends.

He has touched the lives of many and we were lucky to have had him in our lives.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour.

Funeral service to take place at The Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 2 p.m.

Interment to follow at The Salvation Army cemetery, Musgrave Harbour.

Pickett, Emma

Passed peacefully away at The Agnes Pratt Nursing, St. John’s on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 Emma Ethel Pickett age 82 years of Centreville.

Resting at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville from where the funeral will take place on Friday, January 2, 2009 at 2:30 p.m.

Interment to follow at The Anglican cemetery, Centreville.

Stockley, Cecil

Passed peacefully away at Otterbury Manor, Wesleyville on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 Cecil Stockley age 84 years.

Funeral service took place at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Badger’s Quay on Friday, January 2, 2009 with Rev. Robin Trevors officiating, assisted by Rev. George Kean.

Interment followed at The Anglican cemetery, Badger’s Quay.

Donations in his memory can be made to St. Alban’s Anglican Church cemetery Fund, Badger’s Quay.

Chinn, Wayne Donald

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald “Wayne” Chinn, born February 10, 1946 died December 24, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s, NL.

Wayne is left to mourn by wife Fay (Feltham), Trinity, B. Bay, NL; daughter Rosalee; sons Leroy (Crystal), New-Wes-Valley, NL, Stanleigh (Kim) CBS, NL; grandsons Alexander, Gage and Jayden; sisters Leona (Walter), Bedford, NS., June (Hubert), Cape Breton, NS., Shirley, Halifax, NS.; brothers Vern (Doris), Lower Sackville, NS., Roger (Barb), Cape Breton, NS., Gary, Sackville, NS.; and many nieces and nephews.
Wayne was a boiler maker for forty four years with Local 73.

He spent his boyhood in Rockingham, NS.

When he married , he moved to Trinity, Bonavista Bay, NL.

A very kind man with dry humour.

He will be missed by all.

Funeral service to take place at St. Alban’s Anglican Church, Trinity, NL., on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Hall officiating.

Stagg, Cecil Robert

Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 Cecil Robert Stagg age 90 years of Wesleyville.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove.

Funeral service to take place at Jubilee United Church, Wesleyville on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 11 a.m.

Interment to follow at The United cemetery, Cape Freels.

Sturge, Emma

Passed peacefully away at Valley Vista Senior Citizens Home, Springdale on Saturday, December 13, 2008 Emma Sturge (nee Ricketts) age 83 years of Brookfield.

Predeceased by her husband William Sturge (September 2008); son Donald; parents Beatrice and John Ricketts.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her daughters Sadie Grimes (Hedley) of Springdale, Leone King (Gordon) of Little Bay, Paula Cross (Wayne) of Eastport; sons Jack of Brookfield, Tony of Brookfield, George (Juanita) of Pool’s Island, David of Gander; daughter-in-law Daphne Sturge of Glovertown; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sisters Mary Attwood of Valleyfield, Juliana Sturge of Brookfield; and a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove.

Visitation Sunday and Monday 10-12, 2-5 & 7-9.

Funeral service to take place at the Grace Pentecostal Tabernacle, Valleyfield on Tuesday, December 16 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dwayne Mews officiating. Interment to follow at the Pentecostal cemetery, Valleyfield.

Mullett, John

Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on Saturday, November 29, 2008 John Mullett (Jack) age 86 years of Wesleyville.

Predeceased by his wife Marie; grandson Barry Mullett; brothers Clyde and David; sister Gertie.

Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his son Peter (Alice) of Gambo; daughter Audrey Sheppard (Lawrence) of Lewisporte; grandchildren Wayne Mullett (Anik), Allison Sheppard and Matthew Sheppard; great-grandson Liam; sister Frances Sheppard (Eric) of Pool’s Island; caregiver Shirley Knee; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on November 27, 2008, Beatrice Emma Parsons age 87 years of Lumsden.

Predeceased by her parents James and Ethel Hatcher; husband Harry Parsons; sisters Joselyn, Bessie and Barbara; brothers Reginald and Frank.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her son Rene (Shirley) of Gander; brother Stephen (Laura); sister Mary Williams all of St. John’s; brothers-in-law Jim Williams of St. John’s, Howard Parsons (Josie) and Joseph (Ivy) all of Lumsden; sister-in-law Ruth Goodyear of Edmonton, AB.; grandchildren Gary (Janet) and Kerri; great-granddaughter Faith all of Ontario; a number of nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral service took place November 29, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Lumsden.

Interment followed at the cemetery of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Lumsden.

Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Thursday, November 27, 2008 Elsie Mouland age 95 years of Musgrave Harbour.

Hunt, John James

Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on November 24,2008, John James Hunt age 78 years of Wareham.

Predeceased by his parents; Thomas and Martha Hunt, brother; Eli, sister; Mabel Button.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are 2 sisters; Sarah (Jesse Hunt) of Wareham, Wilhelmina (James Rogers) of Hare Bay, brother-in-law; Hubert Button of Hare Bay, 8 nieces, 5 nephews and a wide circle of other relatives and friends.

Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 22, 2008 Edith Blanche Melendy aged 82 years of Lumsden.

Predeceased by her parents; Solomon and Lucretia White, husband; Charles, son; Chesley, brothers; Ralph and Arthur, sisters; Nina and Violet.

Interment followed at the Wesley United Church cemetery, Lumsden.
