Passed peacefully away in his residence at Gander on Thursday, November 20, 2008 Roland Hicks age 76 years of Musgrave Harbour.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Musgrave Harbour.

Visitation Saturday and Sunday 2 - 4 & 7 - 9.

Funeral service to take place at The Salvation Army Citadel, Musgrave Harbour on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 2 p.m.

Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Musgrave Harbour.

Brown, Jacob

Passed peacefully away at Brookfield Hospital on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 Jacob Brown age 97 years of Trinity.

Predeceased by his wife Stella Mary Brown(nee Gibbons); grandson Alan Brown; son-in-law Henry Brown; parents Sitnah and Lucy Brown.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sons Absalom (Olive) of Trinity, Stanley (Trixie) of Trinity, Gerald (Selina) of Trinity, Boyd(Eleanor) of Gander, Edward(Shirley) of St. Johnís; daughters Emily Parsons(Caleb) of Centreville, Marina Beanlands (Kenneth) of St. Johnís, Pauline Brown of Trinity, Yvonne Rideout(Fred) of Trinity; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Resting at St. Albanís Anglican Church, Trinity from where the funeral will take place on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Rev. S. OíConnor officiating.

Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Trinity.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Albanís Anglican Church, Trinity.

Alberta Blackmore

85 of Trinity passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2008 at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte.

Resting at St. Alban's Anglican Church, Trinity, with funeral to take place on Wednesday, November 19 at 2 P.M. from that church.

Internment to follow from the Anglican cemetery, Trinity.

Passed away suddenly at her home at Trinity Bonavista Bay on November 11, 2008, Annie Yvonne Gibbons age 56 years.

Predeceased by her husband; Gilbert, parents; Stewart Starkes and Eliza Starkes (Wicks), brother; Hayward Starkes, brother-in-law; Joseph Gilley, sister-in-law; Josephine Spurvey.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is her daughter; Judy (Mark Ayles) of Trinity, B. Bay, 5 brothers; Jacob (Patricia) of Normanís Cove, Stephen (Ethel) of Poolís Island, Cyril of Ontario, Frederick (Marilyn) of Gander, Rocky of Nova Scotia, 6 sisters; Lillian of St. Paulís, Jessie (James Cutler) of Wareham, Mae of Trinity B. Bay, Trixie Pearl (Wendell McNeil), Edith (Arthur MacEachern) of Ontario, Christine (Eugene Collins) of Hare Bay and many nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Resting at St. Albanís Anglican Church, Trinity from where the funeral will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev Wayne Short officiating.

Winsor, Lillian of Wesleyville, age 99 yrs.

Honorary Life Member of the United Church Women of Canada, passed peacefully away at St. Patrickís Mercy Home in St. Johnís on Saturday November 8, 2008.

Beloved mother of Pauline (Victor) Murrin, St. Johnís and daughters Brenda (Gerald) Squires, Wanda (Laurence) Davis, Judith, Janice and Gail; of Madeline (Austin) King, Hickmanís Harbour and daughters Pamela (George) Baker and Crystal (Robert) Smith; of Earl (Rosalind), Windsor Junction NS and children Geraldine (Randall) Green, Tom (Manon) and Terry (Heather); of Aaron (Judith), Scarborough ON and children Yvonne and Christopher; and of Calvin, Burnaby BC and children Nicole, Jason (and their mother Judy) and Travis.

Loving great grandmother of Desiree, Steven and Alexander Squires; Norah Lillian and Benjamin Davis; Adam Murrin; Craig Baker (Holly), Carla (Leroy) Reid; Randi Green; Tommy, Troy and Tyler Winsor; Matthew Burn, Holly and Colten Winsor; and Gabrielle Mitchell.

Great great grandmother to Alicia and Kaylee Reid.

Sister-in-law to Elizabeth Piccott, Violet Winsor, and Frances Winsor.

Aunt Lil will be missed by her nieces and nephews of the Andrews, Brown, Piccott and Winsor families, her Pickett and Gaulton cousins and many dear friends.

Lillian was born in Brookfield, Bonavista Bay on July 10, 1909.

The last surviving child of Geraldine (Gaulton) and Aaron Piccott (Pickett) of Brookfield/Fair Island.

She was predeceased by husband Sidney in 1974, brothers John and Raymond, sisters Mabel Winsor and Emily Brown, and 5 other siblings in early childhood, as well as great granddaughter Jessica Winsor.

Resting at Kittiwake Funeral Home, Pound Cove.

Funeral to take place at Jubilee United Church, Wesleyville on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 2 p.m.

Interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Wesleyville.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrickís Mercy Home, George Street United Church Outreach program or your local food bank.

Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on November 2, 2008, Annie Frances Pond age 99 years formerly of Trinity Bonavista Bay.

Predeceased by her husband; Nathan, parents; George and Rebecca Boland, 2 daughters; Mary and Rebecca, 2 infant Grandsons, Daughter-in-law; Minnie and Step-brother; William Gibbons.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her 2 sons; Zacchaeus (Lenora), Peter, all of Trinity Bonavista Bay, 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service was held on November 5 at St. Albanís Anglican Church, Trinity B. Bay with Rev Wayne Short officiating.

Internment followed at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Trinity.

Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Thursday, October 30, 2008 Irene Abbott age 73 years of Musgrave Harbour.

Hounsell Verna

It is with great sadness that the family of The Late Verna Hounsell age 63 years of Pound Cove announce her passing at Brookfield Hospital on Tuesday, October 28, 2008.

Predeceased by her father; Lloyd Cooper, daughter; Lois Myra Hounsell, father and mother-in-law; Thomas and Mary Hounsell and brother-in-law; Franklyn Noble.

Left to mourn with beautiful and loving memories are her husband; Solomon, sons; Keith of Ontario, Shane (LeeAnn) of Valleyfield, daughters; Tracy Hounsell (Nelson Burry) of Wesleyville, Denise of Pound Cove, mother; Myra Cooper of St. Johnís, sisters; Marjorie Noble of Corner Brook, Joy (William Barron) of St. Johnís, grandchildren; Liam and Alexa Hounsell, Honorary grandson; Andrew Abbott and a large circle of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service was held on October 31, at 2 p.m. from the Grace Pentecostal Tabernacle, Valleyfield with Pastor Dwayne Mews officiating, assisted by Pastor Murdock Pittman.

Interment followed at the Pentecostal Cemetery, Valleyfield.

Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Monday, October 13, 2008 Meta Hayward age 86 years of Musgrave Harbour.

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre, Botwood on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 Thomas William Pickett age 81 years of Centreville.

Resting at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Centreville from where the funeral will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 2 p.m.

Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Centreville.
