Bradley, Hon. Judy
New Democrat MLA, Weyburn - Big Muddy
Judy Bradley holds a Bachelor of Science, Honours, and a Bachelor of Education Degree with Great Distinction from the University of Regina. Prior to elected office, Ms. Bradley taught science at Sheldon Williams Collegiate in Regina and Special Education and Grade 2 in Milestone.
Ms. Bradley has served as the President of the Milestone and District DanceClub and Figure Skating Club and as Terry Fox Run Co-ordinator. She is a former member of the Prairie Players Drama Club, active in the United Church, and a member of the Saskatchewan Science Centre Board.
Ms. Bradley was first elected in 1991, representing Bengough-Milestone. She was re-elected in 1995 to represent Weyburn-Big Muddy. In 1992, she was elected Vice-Chair of the Government Caucus. She has served on the Agriculture, Education and Local Government and Health, Social Policy and Justice Committees of caucus. Her other duties have included being a member of the Legislative Standing Committees on Crown Corporations, Private Members Bills and Special Committee on Rules. Ms. Bradley has sat on the House Leaders Committee and in 1996 she was elected as the NDP Caucus Chair.
On June 27, 1997, Ms. Bradley was appointed Minister of Highways and Transportation and Minister responsible for the Status of Women.
