New Democrat MLA, Last Mountain - Touchwood
Dale Flavel and his wife presently own and operate a mixed farm near Silton.
Mr. Flavel spent several years working in the co-operative movement. He has also been employed as a fieldman for Saskatchewan Crop Insurance and worked in highway construction.
He is very involved in community associations and was a founding member of the Saskatchewan Beef Stabilization Board. Dale served as Chairman of the local Wheat Pool Committee and has been a member of the local church council.
Mr. Flavel is a past board member of the Bulyea Co-op Association and of Regina Co-op Implements. He is a member of the Wecan and Strasbourg Credit Unions.
Dale Flavel was first elected to the Legislature in 1991 and re-elected in 1995 for the constituency of Last Mountain-Touchwood. He served as Vice-Chair of the Government Caucus Agriculture Committee from 1991 to 1995. He is a member of the Legislative Standing Committee on Agriculture. In 1996 Mr. Flavel was elected as Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly.
