BERNER, Theodore Edward "Ted"

BERNER, Theodore Edward "Ted" - 79, of Goderich, on Saturday, December 29, 2007. Beloved husband of Shirley Jean (Sommerville). Much cherished grandfather of Cazzandra Gavigan at home. Ted has also been Cazzandra's father and hero. He will be greatly missed. Loved father of Dennis (Jean) Berner of Saugeen Twp and grandfather also of Andrew and Alec. Ten was born November 23, 1928 in Waterloo Twp. He worked for years at Seegmiller in Waterloo. The family moved to Saugeen Twp in 1976 and operated the North Bruce Garage. Ted and Shirley moved to Goderich in 1985 where they retired. Survived by brothers, Willard of Owen Sound and Jack of Brampton. Predeceased by his daughter, Tammy; parents, John and Edna (Plate) Berner; half-brothers, Charles, Harold and Howard Berner. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2007 at McCallum and Palla Funeral Home Cambria Rd at East St., Goderich. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until time of service at 2 p.m. Interment Maitland cemetery. Donations to Sick Children's Hospital Toronto gratefully acknowledged. MOHR, Ronald W.

Ronald Wayne Mohr, 69, of Courtright, and formerly of Rodney and Tavistock, passed away at Bluewater Health Centre, Sarnia, on Saturday, July 18, 2009. He was born on September 29, 1939, a son of the late Robert Mohr and the former Pansy Goldie Blanchard. Ron had worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and during his lifetime he received great pleasure from racing and attending races. He is survived by two sons, Wayne Mohr and Trevor Mohr; two grandsons, Brandon and Joshua Mohr; two brothers, Robert and wife Jo-Ann Mohr of Kitchener, Barry and wife Marlene Mohr of Tavistock; four sisters, Sharon and husband John Miller of Petersburg, Shirley and husband Frank Wabro of Tavistock, Wendy and husband Larry Wagler of RR 2, Tavistock, Judy and husband Cordell Assman of Kitchener; two aunts, Garnett Dell of Waterloo, Mary Eby of Baden; one uncle, Wilfred Dietrich of Kitchener. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. The Rev. James H. Knott will officiate. Interment in Grace United cemetery , Tavistock. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated and may be made by calling the Francis Funeral Home at 1-519-655-2431.

Of St. Williams, on September 15, 2007, at Norfolk General Hospital, Kathleen Widmeyer, in her 75th year. Wife of Clare Widmeyer; mother of Karen Vance-McCrea (Carl) of Picton, Ont., Rev. Kathryn Eddy (Larry) of Stephenville, Nfld., and Kristine Dobney (Paul) of Port Rowan, Ont.; grandmother of Rebecca Taylor, Katie Howe-Eddy, Robert Shellington, and Amanda, Sarah, Tayler, and Emily Dobney; great-grandmother of Meagan, Adam, Grace and Sylvie; sister of Audrey Stanley, Muriel Weatherbee, Jim Sloan, and Maryann Sloan; sister-in-law of Marilyn Sattler, Geraldine Meinzinger, Dorothy Schefter, Lloyd Widmeyer and Morris Widmeyer. Predeceased by her parents, William and Lilly Sloan; son, Robert Vance; sisters, Gwen Mistlebrook and Verna Wilson; and brother, Allan Sloan. Friends will be received at Dennis Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, on Wednesday, September 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service to be held at Sydenham Street United Church, Sydenham Street, Brantford, on Thursday, September 20 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Paris cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to March of Dimes, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, or charity of your choice.

WINTER, Pearl Elizabeth

Now gone but will remain forever in our hearts. Pearl passed away peacefully, on Thursday, January 8, 2009, at The Westmount Long Term Care Facility in Kitchener. Beloved wife of Malcolm, who predeceased her July 21, 2008. Loving mother of Kathrine Bright and her husband Hugh, and James Winter and his wife Lynn. Devoted grandmother to Casey Fawcett and her husband Ira, Edward Winter, Diana Winter and Lindsey Glover and her husband Brent. Dear sister of Christina Stevens of Walkerton; Robert Stevens and his wife Sherry of Barrie; Ted Stevens and his wife Anna of Cambridge; Lawrence Stevens and his wife Helen of Cape Breton; John Stuart Stevens and his wife Lisa of Chicago, Illinois. Predeceased by her parents, Lawson and Lillian Stevens and sisters, Marjorie Morrison and her husband Malcolm; Irene Flood and her husband Donald; Josephine Ferguson and her husband Kendall and Kathleen Balsillie and husband George. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation celebrating Pearl's life will take place at David MacLeod Funeral Home, 617 King St. N., Waterloo on Friday, January 16, 2009 from 1-4 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Alzheimer Society or St. Mary's General Hospital would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged by contacting the funeral home 519-888-7700. MARIE JULIA RACINE (Rohrbacher) (Schumacher)
1923 - 2009

passed away peacefully with the love of her family at her side, at Heritage House, St. Jacobs, on Thursday, August 20, 2009. Predeceased by her first husband, Joseph Rohrbacher and her second husband, Yvon Racine. Cherished mother of Tim (Angie) Rohrbacher, Tom (Tara) Rohrbacher, Linda Neumeister, Judy Nicholl and Dan Racine. Marie is survived by her 11 grandchildren, Matt (Trish), Luke (Michelle), Jake, Dane, Andrew and Christine Rohrbacher; Terry (Deb) and Rick Kraemer, Michelle (Bill Ridley) Forrest, Lisa Watson, Rob Laderoute and she was known as Grandma the Great to 12 great-grandchildren, Jade, Codi, Kyro, Jesse, Logan, Jorja, Katie, Ryan, Becky, Brinley, Elisabeth and Kyla; lovingly missed by her sisters, Barbara (Pat) Strollo, Patricia (Bill) Wunder; her brothers-in-law, Joe Cinquino, Ed Kipfer and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased also by her sisters, Katherine, Francis and Jewel; brothers, Bill, Leo and Bob and her son-in-law, Earl Neumeister. Marie was a retiree and longtime employee of Wilfrid Laurier University working in the Dining Hall. She enjoyed spending her summers with friends and family at her trailer on the lake. Friends are invited to share their memories of Marie with her family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday, August 23, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be said at 3:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael's RC Church, 240 Hemlock Street, Waterloo, on Monday, August 24, 2009, at 10 a.m., the Rev. BISCH, Jeremy Ward

Passed away, Sunday, June 21, 2009, at the age of 15. Beloved son of Cameron and Leticia Bisch of Kitchener. Dear brother of Daniel Justin Bisch. Dear grandson of Nayibe Bisch of Waterloo and her late husband Cameron Ward Bisch and also Angela Oliver and family of Mexico. Dear nephew to Kathy Dewar (Al), Shirley Loucks (Keith), Susan Chipman (Wally) all of Kitchener and their families, and family in Mexico. Jeremy will also be remembered and missed by his cousins, Aaron Loucks, Lauren Chipman and Sarah Chipman. Jeremy attended Grand River High School. GEHL, Rose Rita (nee Weber)

passed away peacefully at her residence with her family by her side, on Thursday, April 30, 2009, age 80 years. Rose had worked for many years for Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator. She was also a member of St. Joseph's RC Church, Kitchener, the C.W.L. and St. Vincent de Paul. Beloved mother of Nick (Pat) Gehl, Stephen (Debbie) Gehl, Kathy Runstedler and Nancy Gehl-Price (Owen). Beloved grandmother of Carrie (Darren), Sam, Joe (Shelly) Runstedler, Paulette (Aengus McCullough), Nicholas (Shawna), Danny Gehl, Bogart (Jasmine), Kirk Gehl and Rob Price. Special great-gramma to Victoria, Nicholas and Emma. Survived by a brother, Edward Weber (Bernice) and sister-in-law, Marg Keppler. Predeceased by her husband, Nick (2004); sisters, Edna Pitvor and Evelyn Butler; granddaughter, Nadia Gehl (2009) and her parents, Edward and Rose Weber and step-mother, Catherine Weber. GREENWOOD, Robert Bruce

passed away suddenly, on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at the age of 54. Much loved husband of Patty. Loving father of Samantha, Calvin, Jason, Sarah and Dean. Cherished son of Beatrice and the late Leonard Greenwood. Beloved brother of Chrys Greenwood and the late, Drew Greenwood. He will also be missed by his sister-in-law, Jane and her husband Jerry Hesselink. Rob is survived by his nieces and nephews, Jessy, Alex, Benjamin, Jonathan, Timothy and Madeline. Rob will be dearly missed by his cousin, Kim of Brantford. Fondly remembered by his family in Scotland, Alberta and Ontario. Rob was the owner of Mountain Lawn Care in the Durham Region and had a long affiliation with Westney Heights Baptist Church in Ajax. Lilian May Churchill
May 14, 1918 - August 1, 2009

Born in Rama, Saskatchewan, Lilian entered into eternal rest at Lisaard House, Cambridge, Ont., on August 1, 2009 in her 92nd year. She moved to Ontario in 1948 and to Kitchener in 1951 where she was employed by Uniroyal for many years. In Kitchener, Lilian's home became a place of prayer and was open to people from many nations. She became a spiritual mentor to many. She will be remembered for her commitment to and involvement with: Highland Baptist Church as a life deacon, Sunday school teacher, nursery caregiver and a beloved "grandma" to Carmichael school children at the Breakfast Club; Central Park Lodge where she conducted a weekly Bible study for many years and accompanied the hymn singing with her autoharp. Lilian received a number of awards for her years of volunteer service at the Lodge; Catholic Charismatic Group in home Bible Study and Prayer groups. Lilian is predeceased by her parents, George and Nora (Moores); brothers, George (Edith), William (Helen), Winston and Tom and sisters, Dorothy, Margaret and Nora and brother-in-law, Edwin Ashdown. She is survived by her sisters, Rosalie Ashdown, Penticton, B.C., Miriam Miller, Nanton Alta., Mabel Johnson, Kelowna, B.C. and two sisters-in-law, Rae, Edmonton, Alta. and Dora, Toronto, Ont. She was loved and respected by numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Lilian will be fondly remembered by cousins in Canada and England.
