NICHOLAS David - passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2004 at the Brantford General Hospital, David Nicholas in his 61st year; beloved husband of Jean, loving father of Garry and his wife Carmella, Karen and her husband Gary Mackie, Andrew and his fiancee Louise; cherished grandfather of Cassandra, Tiara, Tristen, and Kori; sadly missed by his brothers Robert and his wife Elaine, Allan and his wife Julie, Victor and his wife Lynn, and his sister Trish and her husband Dave Bunce. David is predeceased by his parents Betty and Frank Nicholas. David was an employee of Flowserve for 25 years and a member of the Moose Lodge. Friends will be received at St. Mark's Anglican Church, 155 Memorial Drive on Sunday at 3 p. m. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to the Arthritis Society or the charity of your choice appreciated.

Terrence Daniel Joseph (Terry) O'Leary

Died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Willett Hospital, Paris on Friday, January 30, 2004, Terrence Daniel Joseph (Terry) O'Leary (1933 - 2004); devoted husband to Patricia for 46 years; loving father of John (Joanne), Bill (P.J.), Elizabeth (Terry Gonser), Katie (Clarke Townson), Terry (Maria), Siobhan (Geoff Hector); loving and caring grumpa to Mallory, Kate, Garrett, Kalleigh, Meaghan, Jordana, William, Danielle, Parker, Shauna, Abbaigeal, Molly and Hannah; dear brother to Elizabeth Jenish of Peterborough. Terry will be remembered for his love of life and family, for his quick wit, awesome sense of humour and his zest for life. Born in Peterborough, he attended St. Peter's High School and St. Michael's College in Toronto. He then went to work for T. J. Cavanagh Appliances in Peterborough, joined Mutual of Life of Canada in 1960 as an agent, then transferred to St. John, New Brunswick in 1965 as Branch Manager while there Terry was an active member of the Kinsmen Club and Toastmasters. On leaving in 1970 he was incoming President of the Boys and Girls Club in St. John. He was transferred to Brantford, Ontario as Branch Manager of Mutual Life, was active in the insurance industry serving on various committee. Terry volunteered for the United Way and served as Chair and that year they went "Over the Top." In 1977 he joined the Rotary Club of Brantford and after years of diligent work he was honoured as a Paul Harris Fellow, Friends will be received at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Pius X Church, 9 Waverly Street, Brantford on Wednesday at 11 a. m. Interment Holy Cross cemetery. Vigil for Terry will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9 p. m. Donations to St. Joseph's Life-care Hospice appreciated.

Suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital on Saturday, January 31, 2004, John Lewis, in his 75th year; beloved husband of Jean; loving stepfather of Kari Dingman and her fiance Brad Vieveen and Michael Dingman and his wife Leslee; dear son-in-law of Ann Smyrichnski and brother-in-law of Sylvia and her husband Ron Steele; John is survived by many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews in the Ukraine. TOTTEN, Stan - Unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, January 30, 2004, Stan Totten in his 68th year; loving father of Debbie and her husband Frank Pulciani and LouAnn Totten and her fiance David Kneaie; cherished grandfather of Dan Hietapakka, Tonya and Marc Pulciani; dear brother of Ella, Grace, Earl, Joyce, Ron, Lionel, Royce, Ted, Lee, and Bernie; predeceased by his parents Lester and Letitia Totten, his brother Reginald, and sisters Florence and Leta: fondly remembered by Lucy Totten. Ron is survived by his sisters June Hermiston of Paris, Shirley Hancock of Newcastle, Betty Affleck of Kamloops, British Columbia, Barbara (Bill) of Hagersville and his brothers Victor (Esther) of Burnaby, British Columbia, Bill (Marion) of Woodstock and special "bro" of Jim and his girlfriend Debbie; brother-in-law of Claudia Wicks; predeceased by his parents Phyllis and Charles Stobbs, his sister Velma MacGinnis, and his brother-in-law Bill Affleck. John will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews including John Newitt and his wife Margaret and their children Jonathan and Amy, Larry Newitt and his wife Mary, Teresa Salajka and her husband John and their daughter Alyssa, and Edward Cwil and Kristina Cwil; cousin of Joanne and Ed Cwil. John was a 50 year member of Carpenters Local 18 in Hamilton working for Canadian Engineering until his retirement in 1991. Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 10, 2004, Henryk (Henry) Pasek in his 66th year; beloved husband for 39 years of Albina; loved father of Joseph and his wife Debbie, Hamilton, Stanley and his wife Doris, Brantford and Adam, Brantford; loved Dziadziu of Darcy, Jesse and Tayte; dear nephew of Kazimierz Moskal and his wife Bernice and their family; Brother-in-law of Walter Pokoj and Cecilia Karkut, cousin of Stanley Pasek and his wife Frances and their family; nephew of Genowefa Ostrowska of New York and family; predeceased by his aunt Suzan and her husband Walter Pasek, uncles Marcin, Frank, Mike and Andrew Moskal; also survived by many family and friends in Canada and Poland. William (Bill) Sangster

Suddenly at the Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday, February 11, 2004, William (Bill) Sangster, in his 81st year; beloved husband for 55 years of Annie; loving father of Jim and his wife Dyan, Caledonia and Audrey and her husband Doug Jackson, Brantford; loved grandpa of Erin and Hilary; also survived by nieces and nephews in Scotland. Bill was a 30 year member of the Brant Men of Song, a longtime member of the Arrowdale Seniors' Golf League, the Echo Lanes Monday Afternoon Bowling League and a longtime member of Echo Place United Church.
