REED, Meta (nee-Sturge), of Guelph, passed away, at the Guelph General Hospital, Saturday, March 3rd, 2001, in her 78th year. Beloved wife of the late George A. Reed (1983). Loved mother of Donna and husband John Pennal of Burlington. Loving grandmother of Julie and husband Scott Mairs and Laura Pennal all of Burlington. Dear sister of Joseph (Blanche) Sturge of Oshawa, Henry (Anne) Sturge of Toronto, Margaret (Arthur) Desrosiers of New Hampshire, Elvie Stickles of New York and Bessie Oldford of Toronto . Also survived by nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Tuesday ( 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.). Funeral service will be held, in the funeral home chapel, Wednesday, March 7th , 2001, at 11:00 a .m., with the Rev. Doug Norris officiating. (Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre). Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Guelph. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, 4A-214 Speedvale Ave, W., Guelph, N1H 1C4 or a charity of choice would be appreciated, by the family.

Holohan, Ruth

HOLOHAN, Ruth - After a brief battle March 5, 2001, at the Guelph General Hospital, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Don Holohan (1990). Loving mother of Sandi and her husband Dennis Wilkes of Guelph and Bob Holohan and his wife June of Markham. Dearly loved by her grandchildren John, Greg, Grant, Jeramy and Justin, and great grandchild Lennon. Cherished sister of Kenneth Farrow of Wiarton and the late Howard Farrow (formerly of Wiarton) and the late Jean Pearce (formerly of Sault Ste. Marie). It was Ruth's wish that there be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 204-21 Surrey St. W., Guelph N1H 3R3 would be appreciated. HILL, Burton Samuel Walker (Burt), (formerly of Rockwood), passed away, at the Lapointe-Fisher Nursing Home, Guelph, Monday, March 5, 2001, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Lillian K. Ray (1992). Loved father of Shirley (Robert) Facey of Rockwood and Gordon Hill of Guelph. Loving grandfather of Glen (Shelley) Facey and Lauralyn Facey both of Rockwood. Predeceased by brothers Kenneth and Theodore Hill. Friends will be received at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday (2-4 & 7-9 p.m.). Loved mother of Jessie Horowitz of Brampton, Rod (Dianna) Mitchell of Caledon, and Vera (Peter) Martin of Guelph. Loving grandmother of Melissa and David Horowitz, Jason, Jeremy, and Tara-Lynn Mitchell, and Brigitta, Elysha, and Michaela Martin. Dear sister of Janet Lawrey, Rod Ross, Verna McCarl, Lloyd Ross and the late Edith Bell. Survived by her friend and partner Jim Hilton of Guelph. Beloved mother of Emily (Tim) Nicholls-Harrison. Cherished and doting grandma of Hannah and Ben all of Owen Sound. Dear sister of Bob (Coral) Sheppard and their son Bob of London. Predeceased by her mother Margaret Noble and a sister Kathey Sheppard. Cynthia will be sadly missed by Paige Hilton of Thunderbay, ON and Ruth Kleinbub of Fort McMurray, AB. Cynthia was a well known and respected artist.
