SCOTT, Sylvana Maria (Sylvia) (nee Andrin)
(Died July 28, 2011)
Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Hamilton, General Hospital, on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at the age of 91. Daughter of the late Ida and the late Pasquale Andrin, and, sister of the late Rina Masotti (the late Romano). Dear mother of the late Arleen Isard (Albert) and Donna Baum. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Christopher, Michelle, Sandy, Carol (Ron), Erica (Steve), and by her great grandchildren, Avery, Kirsten, Ella, Keith, and Chloe. Missed by her niece and nephew, Vivien and Fred Masotti, her cousins, the late Josephine Quesnel and Louise Masotti and many other relatives and friends. Sylvana was a member of the former ladies Venetian Club and a Dominion Glass Retiree. The family would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff of the Hamilton General Hospital ICU, Dr. Holdway and staff at the Rosedale Medical Clinic, and, Staff at the Lakeview Retirement Home. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James Street) Sunday 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. only. Funeral Service in the chapel on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.

Dear brother of Zelia Medeiros and brother-in-law of Delores. Predeceased by his brother Alvaro. Son-in-law of Fernada and the late Manuel Medeiros. Also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law Fatima and her husband Tony, Ilda and her husband Alfredo, Manuel and his wife Mary, Tony and his wife Frances, Donald and his wife Brenda and several nieces and nephews. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. East (near James Street) Thursday 2-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers Thursday evening at 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass from St. Mary’s Church Friday at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre cemetery.

Domenico Valentini
(November 13, 1922 - May 16, 2011)
VALENTINI, Domenico It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Domenico, a loving husband, father and grandfather, on Monday, May 16, 2011, in his 90th year. With his loving wife of 59 years by his side, Domenico peacefully passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Husband of Maria (nee Speziale), beloved father of Angelo (Joanne - nee Vaccarello) and Teresa (Ben Franciosa). Affectionately known as Nonno Domenic, he is loved and sadly missed by his grandchildren Eric (Teresa), Lydia (Mieszko), Nicole (Robert), Natalie (Eric), Domenic and David. He will also be missed by brothers Angelo (Carmelina), Domenico (Francesca) and VitoAngelo (Graziella) as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is predeceased by his sister Domenichella (Domenico Antonacci). Domenico was a retired employee of Stelco, where he worked for over 30 years. A special thank you to Dr. Anne Boyle, the staff of St. Joseph’s Palliative Care, the fourth floor nursing staff and Dr. Desa Bibic for all of their care and support. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will take place at 7:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be offered at Incarnation of Our Blessed Lord Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 9 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery. In kindness, donations to The Canadian Diabetes Association or The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

(June 13, 1928 - May 28, 2011)
(nee Costanzo) Peacefully left us on May 28, 2011 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Nicola Fiorillo. Dear and loving mother of Maria (Norris) Trombetta, Pellegrino (Joanne) Fiorillo, Anna(Glenn) MacDonald, and Angela(Michael Ruffo) Fiorillo. Treasured grandmother of Stephanie, Erica, Marisa, Matthew, Alexandra, and Nicole. Survived by her sister Dorina(Rosario) DePalma and sister-in-law Filomena Costanzo. Predeceased by her sisters Maria(Nicola) Bianco and Pasqualina Butera, and brother Carmine Costanzo. Also loved by many nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL,43 Barton St. East, Hamilton, on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Prayer Service at 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at All Souls Church, 21 Barton St. West, Hamilton, on Thursday, June 2nd at 11 a.m. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

(Died July 22, 2011)
passed away peacefully, in Cosenza, Italy, on Friday, July 22, 2011, at the age of 88. Predeceased by her husband Luigi, her parents Teresa and Carmine Giordano, brothers Giuseppe, Eugenio (Carmela) and Luigi, sisters Florinda (Natale) Borrelli, Agata (Ippolito) Borrelli and Emilia (Pietro) Filice. Survived by her brother Nicola (Iolanda). Also survived by nieces, nephews, greatnieces and great-nephews in Canada and Italy. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James Street) Thursday 6-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers Thursday at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at All Souls Church on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 10 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of Victory Mausoleum, Holy Sepulchre cemetery , Burlington. Giovanni Bucciarelli
(November 21, 1934 - July 29, 2011)
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the untimely passing of Giovanni Bucciarelli on Friday July 29, 2011 (in his 77th year) while on vacation in Italy. He did not suffer alone, his children Frank, Maria Pia and Roberto travelled to be with him and he passed with his son Roberto by his side. Beloved husband of the late Gabriella (Core) his soulmate and true love of 31 years. Devoted and loving father of Frank (Mira), Maria Pia (Lino) and Roberto. Cherished Nonno of Amanda, Vincent, and Claudia. predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Pia Bucciarelli. Giovanni will be dearly missed by his sisters Adele (Lucio) Santucci and Irma (Donato) Cerino and by his in-laws Donato (Maria) Core, cousins Maria (Aldo) Pocobene . Also his long time companion of 19 years Rosa Bilanzola whom he cherished and cared for. Her family Patricia (Tony) Federico and Linda (Tony) Fortino and children. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Giovanni was a proud Stelco Retiree after 30 years of service. He was a member of The Alpini Club of Hamilton, The Association Cultural of Penne, and The Federazione Abruzzese of Hamilton. Giovanni was a very Catholic man and devoted parishioner of St. Anthony's Church in Hamilton actively participated in the Group of St. Padre Pio. Special thanks to our extended family in Italy for all their support with our father Giovanni, we will never be able to thank you enough. Giovanni's in-laws Venanzio Core and family, Maria Chiarelli, and Natalina Sardini. Nephews and nieces, Graziano (Antionetta) Chiarelli and family. Donatina (Antonio) Pallini and family. Lino Sardini and son Davide. Giovanni's cousins in Italy Dino (Mariella) Anzelmetti and Family. Angela (Ennio) La Porta, Maria Ferrini, and Annarita Ferrini. (January 8, 1944 - June 4, 2011)
Suddenly passed away on June 4, 2011. Survived by her husband Tony of 28 years, and son Terry from Mapleridge BC. Predeceased by her parents Howard and Beatrice Norman and her brother Bruce. Will be missed by her brother Ed (Jo-ann), sister Cheryl Dastous (Ron) and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil at 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

LAURICELLA, Giuseppina (nee Castronovo)
August 20, 1918 - June 9, 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Giuseppina in her 93rd year. Giuseppina is predeceased by her husband Michelle (December 14, 1980), her sisters Alfonsia Castronovo, Calogera Lauricella and Concetta Mattina. Loving mother of John Lauricella, Rosemary and Frank D’Amico. Dearly loved and cherished nonna of Rosanna and Joanna D'Amico, Christina and her husband Andrew Wright. Sister-in-law of Vincenzo and Concetta Lauricella of Hamilton. Aunt of Michelle and Lina Lauricella, Cecilia and Orazio Mule of Milton, Rosa and Pat Riggitano, Giovanni, Carmelo and Filippo Lauricella of Hamilton. Giuseppina is also survived by sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws in Italy, nieces and nephews in Milton and Italy. Giuseppina was a lifelong member of the Sacred Heart Society at All Souls Church. Visitation will be held at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James) on Saturday from 5-9 pm and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Vigil Prayers Saturday at 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at All Souls Church (21 Barton Street West) on Monday June 13, 2011 at 10 am. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre cemetery , Burlington.

Bisnonna of Adriana, Joseph, and Philip. Dear sister of the late Camilla and Luigi Cino, the late Calogero and Carmela Fuca, the late Concetta Fuca, the late Diego and Concetta Fuca, Giuseppina and the late Calogero Tulumello, Carmela and the late Giuseppe Fuca, and Salvatore and Melina Fuca.
Predeceased by her parents Stefano and Calogera Fuca and in-laws Baldassare and Angela Seminerio.
Also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Peacefully at the Juravinski hospital, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday September 26, 2012 in her 73rd year. She leaves behind her daughter Arcangela Papalia (Michele) and sons Carmine, Leo and Antonio Palumbo. Loving Sister to John Versace (the late Rosa), Caterina Italiano (Giasone), Giuseppina Tinebra (Giuseppe), Domenico Versace (Rossana), Francesco Versace (Nicolina) and Tony Versace (Lori Templeton). Beloved Nonna of Antonino, Maria (Raffaele) and Antonella. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
