Roote, Daniel "Dan" - suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services Southampton on Saturday, January 12, 2013. Daniel Martin Roote of Saugeen First Nation at the age of 79 years. Loving husband and best friend of the late Maisie (nee Wesley) for 55 years. Cherished father of Anthony, Steve and his wife Marilyn, Mike and his friend Cynthia, and Corrine and her husband Paul King, all of Saugeen First Nation. Grandfather of Jason, Martin, Quentin, Jonathon, Jacob, Amanda, Craig, Mathew, Nicholas, Kimberly, Marshall, Jennifer and Trevor and great-grandfather of Alexandra, Brendan, Cole, Emily, Caleb, Talya, Rayden, Elias, Naawaka, Chelsea, Wade, Nikita, Brody, Breeanna, Bryn, Leda, Dakota, Darian, Drew and Dahlia. Never forgotten by his 'partner in crime' great-granddaughter - Drew. Brother of Stan and his wife Judy, of New Hamburg, Lana Becker, of Petersburg, Pearl Long (Edward), of Meaford, and Sandy Semple, of Orangeville; and brother-in-law of Mary Roote, Mary Roote, Virginia Roote, and Joanne Roote, all of Saugeen. Predeceased by his parents Isaac and Victoria; siblings Ella Solomon (Ainsley), Norman, Melvin, Rena Wesley (James), Gerald, Robert, and Carman; brother-in-law Russell Becker; and daughter-in-law Monica Roote. Sutter, Alan Muir - Died peacefully in his sleep at Sauble Beach, where he always loved to be, on January 5, 2013 in his 49th year after a short but brave battle with cancer. Loved son of Dianne and the late Ted; brother of Nancy, and Stan and Lisa-Dawn McKenzie. Favourite uncle to Neil, Holly, Susannah, Benjamin and Amelia. A celebration of Al's life will take place on Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Multi Purpose room at Central Public School Community Centre, 24 Alexander Street, Brampton. Remembrances will take place between 2-3 pm with continuing visitation until 5 pm. Special aunt of Bev Boswell (Paul), Sandy Jones, and Don Richardson (Suzy). Jackie was Charter member of the Ferndale-Lion's Head Lioness for 27 years, and she and Lorne were longstanding committee members of the "Lion's Head Country Music Festival". Floyd, Birnie Edmund - at his Dundalk residence on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the age of 82. Proud father of John; Shelley Floyd-May (Jessie); Andrew (Jacqueline Young); Phillip (Julie Lee); and step-daughter Karen Hillman. Grandfather of Jeanette, Andrew, Alexis, Evan, Emily, Isabelle, and Jeremy. Brother of Dr. Robert J. Floyd, and Carolyn Glass. Predeceased by his brother Bill; and brother-in-law Larry Glass. Birnie loved people and dedicated his life to riding the world of injustice. He was a Board Member or Consultant to countless organizations (Children's Aid, VON, Crime Stoppers, to name a few). Honoured for bravery by the Queen, this humble man was President of the Private Investigation and Security Guard Agencies of Ontario, and Council of International Investigators. Urbshott, Alister Lee - it is with great sadness that Tyler Urbshott and Cory Lynne Emerson announce the passing of their newborn son Alister. Big brother Devin Urbshott and sister Ocean Johnston were so looking forward to his arrival. Jones, Richard - passed away in his home community of Cape Croker on Monday, March 25, 2013. Charles Richard Jones at the age of 80 years. Loving husband to the Verlyn Akiwenzie-Jones. Cherished father of Rhonda and Brian Pedoniquotte, Charles and Rachel Jones, Orland and Monique Jones, Blake and Vanessa Jones, Rhoda Nadjiwon(Wendall), Yolanda Jones-McDonald, Leighton and Patricia Jones, Jenny and Doug Abel, Danny and Michelle Jones Peter and Vanessa Thied, and Angela and Kevin Lewis. Richard was blessed with 41 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Richard is survived by sisters Gina and Danny Roach, and Trudy and Bill Syrette; and sister-in-law Suzelle Jones.
