Dalmer, Sheila Eileen - of Tobermory, at Grey Bruce Health Services Lion's Head on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Beloved wife to Garry. Loving mother of Mark and his wife Lori, of Orillia, and Susan Dalmer, of Cornwall. Cherished grandmother of 4; and great-grandmother of 3). Brother of Wayne Schmitz and his wife Jane, of Cameron Lake. Sadly missed by her niece Laurie Carmichael and nephew Jeffrey Schmitz. In respect to Sheila's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Sheila Faye Davey A bright and glorious light has left earth and joined the heavens! SHEILA DAVEY Sept. 9, 1934 - June 2, 2008 Rev. Ted, Curt & Jill Davey invite you to celebrate the life of SHEILA DAVEY (nee Lappin) on Sunday, June 15, 2008 (2:00 p.m.) at St. John's United Church, Wiarton Ontario. She is embraced in the love of her family; Wendy, Jordan and Mark Wm.; Leigh, Billie and Kass; Roddy, Joy, and Betty; Lynn and Hank. Numerous friends and extended family have also expressed their love and prayers. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mission and Service Fund of St. John's United Church, or the Women's Auxiliary of the Wiarton Hospital would be appreciated. Vera May Byers – of Wiarton, suddenly at home on Wednesday, May 28th, 2008. Vera May (nee Tymchuk) in her 72nd year. Devoted wife of the late John “Sparky” Byers (May 17th, 2008) for 45 years. Cherished mother of John and his wife Sandra, of Dundalk; Chris and his wife Tammy, of Wiarton; and Jean Byers-Scarola and her husband Loreto Scarola, of Woodbridge. Caring grandmother of Jamie Byers, Justine and her husband Joel Crocco, Chris Byers, Robert Byers, Nikki Byers, Lindsay Kerr, Tiffany Kerr, Spencer Byers, Anthony Scarola, and Sofia Scarola; and great-grandmother of Isabella Crocco. Sister of Michael Tymchuk She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, friends and students. Vera is predeceased by her parents Michael and Anna; brothers-in-law Ross, Harold, and Bernie; and sisters-in-law Annetta Armstrong, Jean McCutcheon, and May McCutcheon. In keeping with Vera’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service at this time. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Bayview Cemetery. Family invite friends to join with them for a special gathering to celebrate the lives of Vera and John on Sunday, July 6th, 2008 at 4 o’clock at the Meeting Place, Wiarton. John Marchant – of Wiarton, passed away peacefully at Gateway Haven, Wiarton on Tuesday, January 8th, 2008. Loving father of John Marchant, Brad Marchant and Deb Wickett. Cherished grandfather of Scott, Hailey, Nathan, Katherine and Alexandra. Sadly missed by his beloved former wife Daisy Miller. Predeceased by his parents John and Gladys. Leona “Lee” Hepburn
1945 - 2008

Leona “Lee” Hepburn – of Wiarton, peacefully with her loving family at her side at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Monday, May 19th, 2008. The former Leona Frances Matilda Vancoughnett in her 63rd year. Loving wife of Hector. Devoted mother of Christine Emerson, of Wiarton; Alister (Rob Teneycke), of St. Catharines; and Keith Davis (Shelly), of Guelph. Cherished grandmother of Chad, Christine, Cory-lynne, Cullen, Aaron, Bobbie, Dawni, Brandy, Zachary, Shelby, Mike, Matt, Jesse, Lauren, and Rebecca; and great-grandmother of Jack, Hanna, Ocean, Cheyanne, Haley, Quinton, Taylor, and Benjamin. Sister of Gail (Ted Donnelly), Judy (Ron Grant), Sally Vancoughnett, Joanne Vancoughnett (Ted Baker), Calvin Crawford, Sandy Crawford, and Kathleen Finnie. Sadly missed by her uncle Francis Wager, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. Lee is predeceased by her mother Margaret Crawford; her son Clinton Watson; three grandchildren - Courtney, Steven and Dustin; and a brother - Wesley Vancoughnett. Well known owner of “Grab A Cab”. Margaret Elizabeth Cunningham Veteran of WWII - of Lion’s Head, peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Lion’s Head on Sunday, May 18th, 2008. Margaret Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Brookfield) in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late James Alexander Cunningham (2001). Devoted mother of Joanne Cormier and her partner Robert Clarke, of Lion’s Head, and Mary Louise Cunningham-Smith and her husband Greg Smith, of Oakville. Cherished grandmother of Alexander Whittaker (Anne), David Cormier (Jessica), Justin Cormier, John Cormier (Christine), Jason Clarke, and Amanda Clarke; and great-grandmother of Abigal, Annabelle, Lily and Hannah. Sadly missed by her niece Claudia Leech, of North Carolina; her cousin Penny Munroe, of Toronto; and friends Nancy Howald, of Miller Lake, Beth Martell, of Lion’s Head, Linda Schaefer, of Wiarton, and Al Mutch, of Owen Sound. Predeceased by her brother Robert Brookfield. Betty served during WWII as an Army Captain stationed at CFB Borden. Cremation has taken place. Betty’s daughters invite friends to join with them for a Celebration of Life memorial at Joanne’s home (25 Jackson’s Cove Rd., RR#3 Lion’s Head) on Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at 3 o’clock. Gwen Carey - of Lion’s Head, formerly of Colpoy’s Bay, who passed away in Lion’s Head on Sunday, May 18th, 2008. The former Gwendolyn Catherine Ann Voisin in her 70th year. Loving wife of 47 years to the late Dave Carey (2003). Cherished mother of Dana and his wife, Kathryn, of Red Bay; Susanne and her husband, Tony Chaves, of Cambridge; and Jay and his partner, Donna Myatt, of Oliphant. Special grandma of Brittanae, Tonni, Melissa, Candace and Ashley; and great-grandmother of Jahiem. Proud sister of Connie (Dave Adams), Pat Einwechter, Mary-Lou (Neil Evans), Roberta (Bill Kells), Rosemary (Dan MacLean), Fran (Wayne Tones), Larry Voisin, and Nancy (Randy Chard). Sadly missed by her brother-in-law Bob Carey (Lee), and her many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Jerome and Elsie Voisin, and two infant brothers. Mom, you were the heart of our family and friends. You showed us courage, strength and determination. You had a heart of gold. But most of all, you showed us love. Melvin “Mel” Elliott – of Cape Croker, suddenly in Toronto on Thursday, May 15th, 2008. Melvin Clifford Elliott at the age of 66 years. Loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. Devoted husband of Shirley Ann (nee Mason). Cherished father of Roger, Marty, Kenneth, Melody, Margaret, Helen, Francis, Laura and Deanne. Forever loved and missed by 15 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, his one sister Adele Levi, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Rodger and Pearline. Roger Bird – of RR#1 Wiarton peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Wednesday, May 14th, 2008. Roger Dale Bird at the age of 64 years. Loving husband and best friend of Joan (nee Davidson) for 41 years. Cherished father of Shelley Bird and her partner Sion Murphy, of Durham. Brother-in-law of Keith Davidson and his wife Linda and Jack Davidson and his wife Marilyn; and uncle of Scott Davidson. Roger will be forever missed by his extended family Katie and Elmer Swartzentruber and their children Joseph, Samuel, Joas, Susan, Fannie, Maria and Jacob; and his many dear friends. Roger is predeceased by his parents William and Margaret, and his brother Ronald. Friends will remember Roger for his abilities as a heavy equipment operator; his love of children and dancing; and his passion for hobby farming using horses and antique equipment. Grandmother of 9; and great-grandmother of 6. Sister of Sylvia and the late Jack Masters, of Purple Valley; Lois and her husband Ray Hultay, of Colpoy’s Bay; and Lynda and her husband Owen Parker, of Newmarket. Sister-in-law of Annabelle Francis, of San Diego. Daughter of Rubye Smith, of Wiarton. Predeceased by her father Bill Smith (Wenceslas Krawzyk); and son Mark (1998).
