Edward "Bud" Silvestri - suddenly at his Oliphant summer residence on Wednesday, August 20th, 2008. Edward Lewellyn Silvestri of Alto Loma California in his 77th year. Loving husband of the former Morag Wright. Father of Karen Schatz (Alan), David Silvestri, Dana Ryan, Lynne Crasch, and Andrew Sylvestri (Mai). Grandfather of Ben Ryan, Carly Ryan, Michelle Crasch, Nicole Schatz, Kurtis Schatz, and Spencer Crasch. Brother of Constance Dunlap. At Bud's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation. Arrangements entrust to the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Arthur "Butch" Elliott - Passed away suddenly at his residence in Cape Croker on Friday, August 8th, 2008 at the age of 58 years. Loving husband of Germaine (nee Trudeau). Cherished father of Beedahsiga and his partner Veronica, of Rama First Nation; Geewadin and his wife Jennifer, of Barrie; Bawdweodung and his wife Geneva, of Sault Ste. Marie; and Winona Elliott and her partner William, of Orillia. Loving grandfather to Neegaanee, Nowqua, Washkesh, Neebin, Neebeesh, Charmayne and Lillian. Forever remembered by sister Carleen Elliott, and brothers Telford and George, all of Cape Croker. Sadly missed by brother-in-law John Trudeau (Connie); sisters-in-law Elizabeth Angeconeb (Henry) and Maureen McLeod (Kurtis); and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Frank and Winona Arriaga; sisters Eulah Elliott and Arleta Cyr; and brother-in-law Julian Trudeau. Sadly missed by many friends across Canada and the U.S. Family invite the community to join with them at a sacred fire at the community centre. Visitation at the Cape Croker Community Centre will be on Monday starting at 2:00 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Butch Elliott will be conducted from the Community Centre on Tuesday at 12 o'clock. Baby Nicholas and Baby Patrick Stewart - August 4, 2008 - August 5, 2008. With broken hearts, Ed and Cindy Stewart of Cambridge announce the passing of their newborn twin sons, Nicholas and Patrick, on Tuesday August 5th, 2008. Nicholas and Patrick will missed by big brother Alexander and sister Gabriella, at home; grandparents; uncles, aunts, and cousins. The family gathered for a private family service at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041. Cremation has taken place. Donations to the McMaster Children's Hospital would be appreciated. Bill Plant - of Owen Sound, at Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound on Friday, August 1st, 2008. Cherished brother of Randall and his wife Maria, and June and her husband David Lobsinger, both of Sauble Beach; and Ross and his wife Donna, of Chatsworth. Sadly missed by his 5 nieces and 4 nephews. Never forgotten by his special friends Mike and Kevin Smyth, Chris Robertson, Steve Silverthorn, Allan Dunbar, and Mark Shortt. Predeceased by his parents David and Doris Plant. In keeping with Bill's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation with interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. Ivy Letcher - of Tobermory, peacefully at Gateway Haven, Wiarton on Friday, July 25th, 2008. The former Ivy Marguerite Sargeant at the age of 91 years. Loving wife of the late Bob Letcher (1978). Cherished mother of Gary and his wife Lois, of Tobermory; and grandmother of Tara Letcher, of Severn Bridge, Shawn Letcher and his partner Berniece Richard, of Gravenhurst, and Victoria Clowater, of Aurora. Sadly missed by her nieces and nephews Carol, Judi, Sherry, Eddie, Debbie, Yvonne, and Pat; her great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and fondly remembered by her many dear friends and neighbours in the Tobermory community. Predeceased by her parents Fred and Annie Sargeant; her brothers Fred, Bill, Herb and Ab; and her sisters Rose, Dorothy and Elizabeth. Ivy will be forever remembered for her love of cards, sewing, hooking, and boating. Ivy was a proud member of St. Edmund's Anglican Church, the Hamilton Power Squadron and was an avid boater. Friends are invited to call at the St. Edmund's Anglican Church, Tobermory (36 Big Tub Road) on Monday evening from 7-9 pm, where a service to celebrate Ivy's life will be conducted on Tuesday July 29th, 2008 at 2 o'clock. Visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Brad Mittleholtz officiating. Cremation with interment in Dunk's Bay Cemetery, Tobermory. Donations to World Vision, Christian Blind Mission, St. Edmund's Anglican Church or the Tobermory Medical Clinic Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C. Shari Lee Gallen Askin - suddenly as the result of an accident, on Sunday, July 6th, 2008. Shari Lee Askin in her 47th year of Fort Nelson, B.C. and formerly of Owen Sound. Loving and devoted companion of Kevin Elgie. Cherished mother of Nick and Lee Askin, both of Fort Nelson. Devoted daughter of Lois Gallen and the late Robert (1994), and daughter-in-law of Sylvia Elgie, both of Owen Sound. Sister of Bob Gallen and his wife Laurie, of Owen Sound, and John Gallen and his wife Patricia Wilhelm, of Red Earth Creek, AB; and sister-in-law of Pamela Elgie, of Idaho. Sadly missed by her niece Carly; nephew Robby; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Kathryn Elfie MacLeod - of Tobermory, suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services Owen Sound on Saturday, July 5th, 2008. Kathryn MacLeod (nee Sutherland) passed away in her 75th year. Wife of the late Alex MacLeod (1982). Mother of Daniel and Scott MacLeod, both of Tobermory, and Ellen Clark and her husband Dale, of Brantford. Proud grandmother of Chris, Alex, Jami, Tyler, Nicholas and Austin; and soon to be great-grandmother of baby Quintin. Survived by her siblings Barbara Henry, and Bill (Mary) Sutherland, both of Strathroy; and Alison (George) Jonckheere, of Langton. Predeceased by her parents Edna and John Sutherland, of Port Burwell; daughter Alison (1957), of Port Burwell; sister Betty Kipp, of Paris, Ontario; and brothers Jack Sutherland, of Port Burwell, and Orten Sutherland, of Port Stanley. Family invite friends to call at the Tobermory United Church on Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm, where a service to celebrate Kathryn's life will be conducted on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 1 o'clock. Sadly missed by his 4 sons; 3 daughters; and friends Dawn Renee Jewell, Tom and Francine Watson, and Rita Wonch. Survived by several brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Doreen (nee Perkins); his parents Archie and Vera Zavitz; 1 brother; and 1 sister. Friends may call at the Thomas C. Cherished father of Mark and his wife Kim, of Waterdown, and Tina and her husband Rick Jury, of Caledonia. Proud grandfather of Shae-Lynne, Kali, Mackenzie, and Olivia. Dear brother-in-law of Raymond Devier (Joyce), of Kenmore, Washington State, and Arlene Rainford (Norman), of Hamilton. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents Bill and Dorothy; sister Cecile; and sister-in-law Georgina. Tony was a proud member of the Sauble Sandpipers and the Allenford Curling Club. Doug Kreutzwiser VETERAN OF WWII - of Wiarton, peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Sunday December 21st, 2008. Harold Douglas Kreutzwiser in his 89th year. Loving husband of Betty (nee Reid). Cherished father of Reid and his wife Marilyn, of Guelph, Jill and her husband Mike Vogelsberg, of Sauble Beach, and Lary, of Oakville. Proud grandfather of Ryan Kreutzwiser (and partner Danielle Chretien), Paul Kreutzwiser (and wife Jamie), Zane Vogelsberg (and wife Melissa Truong); and great-grandfather of Evan and Kara. Sadly missed by his many friends. Predeceased by his parents Harvey and Alice. Doug was a veteran of WWII stationed at CFB Trenton as a member of 6 R.D. - RCAF. As the owner and operator of Central Motors, he ran his GM dealership in Wiarton for over a quarter of a century. He was a longstanding, active member and past-president of the Wiarton Rotary Club; recipient of the Paul Harris Award. Family invite friends to gather with them at the Thomas C.
