Begin, Douglas O. - Veteran of WWII, First Lieutenant and proud member of the Royal Canadian Regiment (1939-1945). Douglas passed away on Monday, December 13th, 2010 with his family around him at Gateway Haven, Wiarton at the age of 92 years. Much loved husband for over 71 years to the former Margaret Borland. Beloved father to Sandy and her husband Don Elliott, of Red Bay. Cherished grampa to Doug Elliott (partner Anna Balint), of Oliphant; Nancy Davis, of Burlington; and Bill Elliott, of Burlington. Great-grampa to Rachel, Cassie, Bill, Mikila, and Sydney. Brother of Bill and his wife Grace-Anne, of Conroe Texas; and brother-in-law of Linda Begin, of London. Predeceased by his brother Bruce; and sisters-in-law Lorraine Elliott and Agnes Yeates. A memorial service to celebrate Douglas' life will be held at Gateway Haven, 671 Frank St., Wiarton on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 2 o'clock, with visiting one hour prior to service. McKenzie, Donald Glenn - Don passed away at age 81, at the Wiarton Hospital on November 28, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Dudley; their three children: John and his wife Marianne, Pete and his wife Lisa, Nancy and her husband Dale Wice; and by five grandchildren: Stacey and Patrick McKenzie, Wendel and Laura McKenzie, and Shelley Wice. Also survived by his brother Mac McKenzie. Service at the Thomas C. Urbshott, Bonnie - R.R. #2 Wiarton, at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Friday, November 19, 2010. Bonnie Jean Urbshott at the age of 64 years. Predeceased by her dear husband Glen, her beloved son Shannon, her father Elwyn Richardson, and her sister Heather Richardson. Survived by her mother Joy Richardson, and daughter-in-law Shawna Tackaberry, both of' Hope Bay, her brothers Roger Richardson (Helene), of Orleans, Reed Richardson (Barb), of Goderich, and her sister Debra (John Morris), of Aurora. Father of Jacqueline and her husband Brian Wilson, of Shallow Lake, Brenda and her husband Lloyd Coben and Annette and her husband Allan Trumbley, all of Saskatchewan. Grandfather of Michelle, Marc, Emily, Amanda and Wyatt; and great-grandfather of Ethan. Brother of Norman and his wife Lois, of Milton; Jack, of Owen Sound; Vera Meadley, of Orillia; Shirley Dredge, and Helen and her husband Ken Cameron, all of London; and brother-in-law of Margaret Dredge. Loving husband and best friend of the former Ingrid Woerl for 32 years. Father of Lisa Durling (partner Kevin Snell), of Alcona Beach; Robert Woerl (partner Gerald McEntire), of Halifax; and Devin Durling, of Fredericton. Grandfather of Kylea, Emma, Chloe, Mykala and Rowan. Devoted son of Ernie (Elizabeth), of Nova Scotia. Brother of Timothy and Peter, both of Bridgetown, NS, step-brother of Donald Hailstone, of Halifax; and brother-in-law of Doreen (Ed Robinson), of Wilberforce. Devoted father of Gloria (Howard Weir), of Shallow Lake; John Mielhausen (Suzanne), of RR#1 Lion's Head; Janice (Wayne Eckensweiler), of Barrow Bay; Norma (Martin MacLeod), of Peterborough; Connie (Steve Tackaberry), of Lion's Head; Jamie Mielhausen (Sandra), and Jeff Mielhausen, both of RR#2 Lion's Head. Cherished grandfather of Carolyn (Wayne Simmons), Kevin, Corinna, Dustin, Adam, Miranda (Travis Kreuger), Chad, Craig, Christy, Cara, Chloe, Rory, Trevor, Chantelle, Mitchell (Becca), Marlee, Jayme Anne, Libby, Spencer, Brittany, Josie, Jada, Allison, Zach, Nicole and Marissa; and great-grandfather of Reid, Rhett, Mackenzie, Payton, Marcus, Josolyn, Clay and Olivia. Ivan will be remembered as one of the biggest beef farmers in the Eastnor Township area; and for his efforts in local politics, serving as Bruce County Warden (1985), and 24 years on the Eastnor Township Council and Bruce County Council.
