Dorothy Day
1917 - 2005

Day, Dorothy Wanita - peacefully at Southampton Care Centre on Monday, November 14th, 2005. The former Dorothy Wanita Kennedy of Georgetown in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late Charles Day. Cherished mother of Pat and her husband David Cooper, of Sauble Beach; and Charlene MacCormack and her spouse the late George Barber, of Muskoka. Much loved grandmother of Jamie Cooper and his wife Yvonne, of Brampton; and Debbie and her husband Stan Schmidt, of Palmerston. Great-grandmother of Brandon, Alana, David, Lisa, Carla, and Jeremy. Predeceased by her parents William and Ella Kennedy, and her brother Elmer. Dorothy was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #120 Ladies Auxiliary, Georgetown, having recently received her 60 year pin. At Dorothy's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation with interment in Glen Orchard cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and can be made through the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041. A purple Lilac tree will be planted at the funeral home in memory of Dorothy.

William “Bill” Walker
1939 - 2005

Walker, William Harry "Bill" - suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Friday, November 4th, 2005. Bill Walker of Mar in his 67th year. Loving husband of 44 years to the former Mary Lou McKay. Cherished father of Terri and her husband Harley Hodgins, of Kincardine; Robert, and Sean and his wife Tracy, both of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of Jonathan, Sasha, Christina, Katelynn, Megan and David. Brother of Burnie and his wife Audrey, of Chesley; Terry and his wife Fran, of Wiarton; and Marion Gurney, of Nanaimo, B.C. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Margaret McKay, and his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents William and Dorothy Walker, and a sister, Phyllis Cowl. Bill served his community for thirty years with the O.P.P.; was Staff Sergeant in Kincardine; was a member of the O.P.P. Vets Association; served on the Wiarton Police Services Board; and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6, Owen Sound. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join with the family for a Celebration of Bill’s Life to be conducted from Trinity Anglican Church, 491 Gould St., Wiarton on Saturday, November 12th, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. Ven. Dr. Jawn Kolohon officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. 1921 - 2005

Coulson, Florence May “Sue” - suddenly at her residence on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2005. The former Florence “Sue” Horman of Oliphant in her 85th year. Loving wife of the late Bob Coulson. Cherished mother of Robert and his wife Janice, of Toronto; Kenneth and his wife Maryanne, of Tecumseh; and Catherine and her husband Graham McIntyre, of Severn Bridge. Grandmother of Jeffery; Richard; Debra and her husband Mark Jansen; Kevin and his wife Trisha; Alan McIntyre and his wife Rachelle; and Ian McIntyre and his wife Kelly. Great-grandmother of Sydney Coulson and Joshua McIntyre. Sadly missed by her best friends Betty and Don Fletcher. Predeceased by five brothers and one sister. Proud member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 208, Wiarton for twelve years. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join with the family for a graveside service to be conducted from Balsam Grove cemetery , Oliphant on Monday, November 7th, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Members of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 208 will conduct a memorial service at this time. Jeremy McCartney
1978 - 2005

McCartney, Jeremy - suddenly, as the result of an accident on Monday, October 24th, 2005. Jeremy McCartney, of Hepworth in his 28th year. Loving husband and soul-mate of the former Dianne Sinclair. Father to a precious baby to-be. Much loved brother and best buddy of Jonah, at home. Cherished son of Bob and Becky McCartney, of Hepworth. Special son-in-law of Jim and Shirley Sinclair, of Wiarton. Brother-in-law of Mary-Lynn Sinclair, of Toronto. Loving grandson of Betty and the late Gordon McCartney, of Hepworth; and Annabelle and the late Gordon Rouse, of Wiarton. Sadly missed by his many aunts and uncles, cousins and many friends. Friends may call at the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach, on Friday, October 28th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A joint celebration of Jeremy and Steve’s lives will be conducted from the Shallow Lake Community Church on Saturday, October 29th at 12:00 noon. McCartney, Steven “Steve” - suddenly, as the result of an accident on Monday, October 24th, 2005. Steve McCartney, of RR#7 Owen Sound in his 44th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Nancy (nee Weichert). Loving father of Ryan and Josh. Cherished son of Betty and the late Gordon McCartney. Special son-in-law of Ed Weichert and Hilda Nightingale. Much loved brother of Larry and his wife, Joanne, Daryl and his partner, Connie, Paul and his wife, Edith, all of Wiarton; Bob and his wife, Becky, Gladys and her husband, Wayne Cruickshank, both of Hepworth; Cliff and his wife Susan, of Owen Sound; Edsol and his wife, Nancy, of Calgary; and Marlene and her husband Kevin Stewart, of Fergus. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends may call at the Thomas C. 1972 - 2005

Spetko, William “Billy” - suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services Southampton on Saturday, September 10th, 2005. William Daniel Spetko of Richmond Hill in his 34th year. Cherished son of Aleck and his wife Donna, and Carol and her husband Mac Law, all of Wiarton. Much loved brother of Melody Spetko and her partner Laura Falke, of Etobicoke; Josh Spetko, of Aurora; Jesse Spetko, Zachary Spetko, and Delainey Carroll, all of Wiarton; Rory Carroll, of Woodstock; and Krista and her husband Steve VanEe, of Guelph. Special friend of Leslie Barker, of Richmond Hill. Devoted grandson of Josie Spetko, of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by his many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, his many friends, IBM colleagues and fellow members of the ‘University of Jeep’. Predeceased by grandparents, William Spetko Sr., and Herb and Shirley Dunbrook. Friends may call at the Thomas C. Myrtle Kennedy
1924 - 2005

Myrtle Irene Kennedy - of Sauble Beach passed away peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Wiarton on Sunday, August 14th, 2005. Myrtle will be fondly remembered by her Family, including her sister Grace Sargent, of North Bay; her nieces Joyce Brinkman, of Stouffville, LaVerne Bunsch, of Nobel, and Janet Watters, of Orillia; and nephew Glen Sargent, of North Bay. Myrtle was born Myrtle Irene Ricker in Commanda, Ontario and is predeceased by her husband Bruce Kennedy. According to Myrtle's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041. The Family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. K. R. MacNay and staff and palliative care services at the Wiarton Hospital. As expressions of sympathy, the Family would appreciate memorial donations to Palliative Care at the Wiarton Hospital. Pieter Koopman
1917 - 2005

Pieter Koopman - peacefully at Gateway Haven, Wiarton, on Tuesday June 21st, 2005. Pieter Koopman of Wiarton, and formerly of Wingham, in his 89th year. Loving husband of the former Jansje Wajt. Dear father of Simon and his wife Gail, of Wiarton, and Hilbert and his wife Diane, of Wingham. Cherished grandfather of Ross, Julie, Jamie, Brett, and great-grandfather of four. Survived by his brothers Jan, of Simcoe, and Antonius, of Windsor; and sisters Annie and Greetje, both of the Netherlands. Predeceased by one brother, Simon; and five sisters, Annie, Trus, Katreen, Lies, and Vera. Pieter was forgiving and a true gentleman. At Pieter’s request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation. Arrangements entrusted to the Thomas C. Whitcroft Funeral Home & Chapel, Sauble Beach (519) 422-0041. Bill Marshall
1932 - 2005

William “Bill” Marshall - peacefully at his residence on Tuesday June 14th, 2005. William Ralph Marshall of RR#3 Wiarton in his 74th year. Loving husband and friend of Carol (nee Ginn). Devoted step-father of Cindy and her husband Rob Hirst, of Orillia; Brad Fraser, of Toronto; Leslie and her husband Alan Pilkey, of Aurora; and Lea-Anne and her husband Steve McLean, of Whitby. Step-grandfather of Michael, Chris, Chad, Megan, Taylor, Nicole and Hayley; and step great-grandfather of Mike Jr. Caring brother of Barbara Chellew, of Wiarton. Special uncle of Brent, Susan and Karen. Sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Anne Marshall. Bill was a long-time pitching coach in Scarborough. Cremation has taken place. Maxwell “Max” Cole - suddenly at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Monday June 13th, 2005. Maxwell James Cole of RR#1 Shallow Lake (Parkhead) in his 17th year. Cherished son of Jim and Janice (nee Dick). Devoted brother of Erin, at home. Much loved grandson of Maxine and Jim Cole, of RR#1 Annan, Marie and Vic Dick, of Leamington; and great-grandson of Dorothy Cole, of Shallow Lake. Special nephew of Jamie and Rob Greve, of Owen Sound; Tim and Maddalena Cole, of Courtice; Teresa and Stuart Ghent, of Mount Forest; and Jerry Dick, of St. John’s, NFLD. Cousin of Bobbie, Keegan, Samantha, Ben, Danielle, Cole and Jordyn. Sadly missed by many great-aunts and uncles. Predeceased by his great- grandparents Abe and Tina Dick, Donald Cole, and Phyllis and Max McKinnon; and his uncle Leonard Dick. Robin Richardson
1986 - 2008

Robin Richardson - of Wiarton, suddenly at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Monday, June 2nd, 2008. Robin Maria Richardson in her 22nd year. Cherished daughter of Don and Suzy (nee McCaw), of Wiarton. Adored sister of Kayla, at home. Loving girlfriend of Blair Cowie of London. Beloved granddaughter of Doug and Nancy McCaw, and Sheila Richardson (and friend Bill) all of Wiarton, and the late Ray Richardson; and great-granddaughter of Kathleen Smith, of Wiarton, and Eva Schnieder, of Hanover. Robin will be forever missed by her aunts and uncles, Bev and Paul Boswell, Sandy Jones (Brent), Neil Richardson and Alecia Craig, Sandra Lee and Dick Hibma, Ted and Tammy McCaw, Vickie and Don Scarlett, John McCaw, Pam McCaw (Pete Quinlan), and Mark McCaw (Mike Durkacz); her many cousins and friends, especially Tara Thompson. Robin was an Honours Business student at Wilfrid Laurier University and employed by BDO Chartered Accountants in Owen Sound. Her love of sports, animals and music was only surpassed by her love of family and friends. Robin's family invite friends to join with them at the Thomas C.
