Kelly Robinson

1923-2004

Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound Sunday evening April 25, 2004. Kelly Robinson of R.R.#5 Owen Sound. Loving husband of the former Donelda Morley. Dear brother of Mary Allen and Doris Clifford both of Owen Sound and Donna Warren of Hanover. Dear brother-in-law of Edith Robinson of Port Elgin. Lovingly remembered by several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by his parents Oliver and Florence Robinson, a brother Judson and brother-in-law Willis and his wife Anne Morley. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME Hepworth Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be conducted from the funeral home Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jack Tweddle officiating. Interment Zion cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Shallow Lake United Church would be appreciated as your _expression of sympathy. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6 Owen Sound will hold a memorial service at the Funeral Home Tuesday evening at 7 pm. Kelly served with the Merchant Marines during WWII and was torpedoed two hundred and fifty miles south west of Africa and drifted in a life boat for nine and a half days. After being rescued Kelly landed in Luderitz, South Africa. Kelly was as machinist by trade, employed by Parker Hannifin in Owen Sound, retiring in 1979. At the Southampton Care Centre in Southampton Saturday afternoon April 17, 2004. Rose Wojtysiak of Sauble Beach in her 81st year. Wife of the late Antoni Wojtysiak. Loving mother of Zofia and her husband Barry Clarkson of Miller Lake and Helen and her husband John Fell of Sauble Beach. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Greg, Carolyn, Jason and Stacy. David "Duncan" Davidson

1937-2004

Suddenly at his residence Sunday morning April 11, 2004. Dunc Davidson of R.R. # 1 Allenford in his 68th year. Beloved husband of the former Maureen Craig (nee Gowanlock). Dear father of Jim (Thelma) Davidson, Maureen Fabick, Chuck (Sandra) Davidson all of Kitchener, Jamie (Debbie) Craig, David (Christine) Craig all of Palmerston, Suzanne Craig of R.R. # 1 Allenford and Peter Craig of Cambridge. Lovingly remembered by his thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Frank (Marion) Gowanlock of Halifax, Leroy (Nina) Gowanlock of Strathroy, Annice (John) Blake of Toronto, Phyllis Stevens of Brigden and Fran (Ron) Calhoun of Thamesford. At Dunc's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dunc's life will be held at his home, 126 Chesley Lake Road, Wednesday April 14, from 2pm into the evening. Beloved wife of the late Bill Playford. Loving Mother of Eleanor and her husband Don Glover of R.R. # 3 Wiarton, Bill and his wife Andrea of R.R # 3 Hepworth and Brian (Butch) and his wife Cheryl of Wiarton. Lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren, Cathy and her husband Dan Wettlaufer, Karen and her husband Jim Omand, Gordon Glover and his wife Lindsey, Rebecca and her husband Matthew Joyce, Bill Playford and his wife Chantyle, Blake Bradshaw and his wife Shannon, Blair Bradshaw and her nine great grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Annie Radbourne of Owen Sound, Ethel Playford, Carl Playford and Bertha Playford all of Kitchener. Predeceased by her daughter Doris Bradshaw and several brothers and sisters. At the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound Wednesday morning March 10, 2004. Tony Van Wyck of Owen Sound in his 75th year. Beloved husband of the former Anna Foote. Loving father of Cathy and her husband Aaron Appleman of Lucan, Susan and her husband Paul Rader of London, Lynn and her husband Jim Dawe of Seaforth and Tracy and her husband Brian Pettigrew of Owen Sound. Lovingly remembered by twelve grandchildren; Jason, Shelley, Josh, Launi, Ben, Robin, Jamie, Lindsay, Cory, Alicia, Paige, Reese; one great granddaughter Hailey and by a special family friend Deb and her husband Hi Thompson of Lucan and their children Scott and Terri. Dear brother of Don and his wife Jill of Fergus, Doug and his wife Jean of Kitchener and Bob and his wife Jean of Fergus. Predeceased by one sister Lorraine and one brother Gord. Albert Cameron Henderson

1917-2004

Peacefully at the Georgian Heights Nursing Home in Owen SOund Thursday evening March 11, 2004. Bert Henderson of Owen Sound, two weeks shy of his 87th birthday. Beloved husband of the former Florence Pearson and her family and his first wife the late Jean (1979). Loved father of twin sons Al and his wife Debbie and family of Springmount, Ewing and his wife Jerri and family of Kitchener, daughter Nancy and her husband Paul Backman and family of Kamloops, B.C., twin daughters Janis and her husband John Devries of Innerkip and Lois and her husband Doug Andrews of Midland. Lovingly remembered by his nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son-in-law Don Yorke. Bert worked at Black Clawson Kennedy for forty two years retiring in 1982. Bert and Jean spent twenty years operating the Women's Institute Community Park at Sauble Beach where they made many life long friends. Bert's retirement summers were spent at Woodland Park in Sauble Beach where he and Florence enjoyed many hours with family, friends and neighbours. Bert was active in the Lion's Clubs of Allenford and Owen Sound and could be found in the Owen Sound Market many Saturday mornings with his side kick Harry selling brooms and lights bulbs for the club. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Hannah Walker Place and Georgian Heights for their excellence of care. Visitation will be held at the Downs & Son Funeral Home Hepworth on Saturday from 2 to 4pm. A private family service will be conducted on Monday with Rev. Jack Fearnall officiating. Spring interment Hillcrest cemetery , Tara. Memorial contributions to the Catulpa Community Support Services, where Lois supports individuals with developmental disabilities, would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.

At the Saugeen Memorial Hospital, Southampton Saturday morning February 28, 2004. Earl Harrison of Sauble Beach in his 86th year. Predeceased by his wife May Sarah Balaban. Loved father of June Stolp and her husband Frank of Sauble Beach, Jim Balaban of Kitchener, Janice Klassen and her husband Peter of Winnipeg and by his daughter Judy. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Brad, Cascelia, Sherry, Heather and Graham. Spring interment Zion cemetery , Sauble Beach.

Beloved wife of the late Percy Gates. Dearly loved by her children Rev. Robert Gates and his wife Nancy of R.R. # 5, Owen Sound and Marilyn Gates of Owen Sound. Lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Kimberly and her husband James Machan of Wiarton and two great grandchildren Lindsey and Liam. Dear sister-in-law of Mildred Abram and Lee and his wife Kaye Kennedy. Also survived by two brothers Sam and Jim and two sisters Mina Abram and Daisy Clarkson. Dear sister of Dorothy Cole of Shallow Lake, Russell and his wife Helen Jones, Harry (Joe) Jones and Jean Walker all of Hepworth, Greeta (Pete) Williamson of Wiarton, Mary and her husband Harry Cavers and Edith and her husband Jerry Lambertus all of Hepworth. Also survived by several nephews and nieces. Predeceased by two brothers Ken and Art and one sister Marjorie Fox.
