Frederick Burnside
January 31, 1907 - March 31, 2001

Frederick Burnside died on Saturday March 31, 2001 at 94 years of age.

“Absent from the body, present with the Lord”. II Corinthians, 5:8. He was a member of the Highbury Gospel Hall for many years.

He was predeceased by the loss of a son, LeRoy Edward Burnside in 1964 and by his wife, Elizabeth in 1992.

He leaves to mourn, Mrs. Florence Burnside, a son and family, Douglas Frederick Burnside and his wife Teresa, 3 granddaughters, Judith (Todd) McCaughey, Lea (Mitch) Rohr and Terry Lynn Burnside and a great-granddaughter Bailey, all living in Colorado.

Visitation will be held at the Memorial Funeral Home 1559 Fanshawe Park Road (east of Highbury) from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday April 3rd, 2001. The Funeral Service will be held at the Highbury Gospel Hall on Wednesday April 4th, 2001 at 1 p.m. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery, Castle Rock, Colorado.

Robert (Bob) Turow
October 15, 1954 - April 10, 2001

Robert “Bob” suddenly passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at the age of 46 years.

Beloved son of Dorothy Turow, Joseph Turow and step-son of Patricia Turow.

Loving brother of Joanne Kaufmann. Loved uncle of George and Jeff Kaufmann and step-brother of Sharon and Glen, Brenda and Jim, Cheryl and Dean and families.

Family will receive friends and relatives at the Memorial Funeral Home, 1559 Fanshawe Park Road, East, London from 7-9 p.m. Thursday evening and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday. Service of Remembrance 11 o’clock, Saturday, at the Funeral Home. Cremation has taken.

In remembrance of Bob donations to the London Humane Society, 624 Clarke Road, London, Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

Allan (Al) MacLean Lindsay
August 4, 1931 - April 5, 2001

Allan (retired custodian from H.D. Beal) passed away on Thursday April 5, 2001 at the London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus, at the age 69.

Allan MacLean Lindsay, beloved husband of Nan Lindsay for 44 years. Dearly loved Dad of Christine (Dave), Elleen (Frank). Devoted grandpa to Rob, Hayley and Matthew. Dear brother-in-law to Jean and Blair. Beloved uncle to Jeff (Laurie) and family. Al is survived by his brother, nieces and nephews in the U.K.

A private family memorial service was held Sunday, April 8th, 2001 at Forest Lawn Chapel, (1997 Dundas St. E., London). Cremation.

In remembrance, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Beloved wife of Harold Albright for 53 years. Loved sister of Juliet Benard. Therese will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews and their families.

Suddenly at St. Joseph’s Health Care Centre on Wednesday, April 25, 2001, Arthur George Bateman in his 84th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife Adeline Bateman.

Loving father of Bryan and his wife Donna, Ian and his wife Peggy and Robin. Dearly remembered by his grandchildren Erin, Teresa and Stephen. Sadly missed by his sisters Winnifred, Mary and Grace. Predeceased by brother Harry and sisters Doris and Beatrice. Private family arrangements have been made.

At Maple Village on Wednesday, April 25th, 2001 Jessie Helene Pyman (Wanamaker) of London, in her 75th year. Predeceased by her husband Arthur (Art) Pyman, July 25th, 1997. Daughter Barbara Semansky, October 22, 1989. Parents Henry Wanamaker 1961, Lexie Wanamaker 1998 and sister Grace Longchamps 1988.

Beloved mother of Janet Golding and husband Mike of St. Thomas, Donna Campbell and husband Roger of London, Jeannie Brown and husband Robert of Fingal and son-in-law Steve Semansky of London.

Sadly missed by grandchildren Debbie Carroll, Christina Yake, Steven Semansky, Anthony Golding, Brenda Golding, Scott Campbell and Sandra Purchase. Great grandmother to Travis, Michael, Christopher, Matthew, Sarah, Haley, Clayton, Jackson, Dana, Lindsey, Madeline, Connor. Dear sister to Mary Taylor, Roger Longchamps, Roy Wanamaker and wife Carol, Joan Stewart and husband Bob, Jim Wanamaker and wife Margaret, Carol Wright and husband Wayne.

Friends will be received at the Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East, (at Wavell) from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2001. Funeral Service Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Chapel. Reverend James Broadfoot officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens beside her beloved Art.

Friends wishing to make memorial donations to the charity of there choice or The Stroke Recovery Unit of University Hospital, London, Ontario, will be gratefully acknowledged.

Benjamin (Ben) Alexander Lass
March 8, 1994 - April 20, 2001

Peacefully at the Children’s Hospital at the age of seven, on Friday, April 20th, 2001 Benjamin Alexander Lass in his mothers arms with his family by his side, was given to our lord for safe keeping.

His little light still shines so very bright,

In our hearts we will hold him tight.

Our Darling Ben,
You have blessed our world and shared with us, seven wonder filled years. You leave us know with a life time of memories.

Profoundly missed by mom, dad and sister Ashley and step sister Kiesha Murphy. Grandparents Cathy and Gunther Lass and Ray. Aunts and Uncles, Wilf and Karen Lass. Gunther and Julie Lass, Rose and Ken Henrich, Chris Clements, Martin and Kevin and all of his friends, classmates and teachers.

Our sincere thanks to all of the wonderful nurses and doctors who took such good care of Ben.

Colonel William A. Teed at Parkwood Hospital, London on Friday April 20, 2001 at 80 years of age. Beloved husband of Margaret (Peggy) Teed for 56 years. Dear father of Ray Teed and his wife Kathi Smith of Kitchener. Brother of Stephen Teed and his wife LaDonna of Texas and the late Lionel Teed of New Brunswick.

Highlights of a distinguished 35 year career in the Canadian Forces included: serving with the 1st Army in North Africa during the Second World War, landng on D-Day in Normandy; Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion, Black Watch and serving as a Military Attache in Israel and Malaysia.

Arrangements in the care of Memorial Funeral Home (519)452-3770. Visitation will be held at the Chapel of The Good Shepherd, Western Counties Wing, Parkwood Hospital 801 Commissioners Rd. E.,(please use parking lot #3) London from 7-9 pm Wednesday where a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 4 pm Rev. Darrell Shaule officiating.

Beloved husband of Bonny. Loving father of Matthew. Beloved son of Shorty Thomason, Irene and Ross Thomason. Beloved brother of Trudi Thomason. Loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jamie will be sadly missed by many friends and co-workers.

Brother of Lynne and her husband Dan MacDonald of Hamilton and Carol and her husband Steve Grose of St. Marys. Doug will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends.

John’s wishes for a casual gathering of friends to celebrate his life will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel (1997 Dundas Street East, at Wavell) on Saturday, May 5th, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. Please bring your stories to share at the service and dress casual: T-shirts and jeans.
