THORTON, Marjorie Florence - The family of Marjorie Thornton sadly announces her passing, at her home, in Guelph, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at age 59. Marjorie Florence Gough, dear wife of Vince Thornton of Guelph and loving mother of Darci & Andrew Khoo of Cambridge, Dane & Todd Collins of Acton, Paul and Pina Sutton of Ennismore and the late twins, Wade and Wendy (1966). Adoring Nana of David and Daniel Khoo and Graham and Erin Collins. Sister of Charlene & Fred Landry of Rockwood and John and the late Maxine Hurst of Acton. Niece of Gord & Laura Colquhoun of Kitchener. Among other things Marjorie will be remembered as owner of Willow Lane Natural Foods in Acton. Friends will be received at Blue Springs Funeral Home, Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be at Knox Presbyterian Church, Acton, Saturday, April 20th, 2002, at 2p.m. Interment , Fairview cemetery , Acton. Remembrances may be made to Life Outreach International.

BELL, Nancy Joan Callander (Fraser) - Peacefully, at her home, in Guelph, on Tuesday, April 16, 2002. Nancy Joan Bell, in her 56th year, was the beloved wife of Ken Bell of Guelph. Dear step-mother of Monica and her husband Stuart Carsience of Abbotsford, B.C. and Ruth and her husband Nathan Hill of Guelph and step-grandmother of Rebecca Carsience. Survived by her parents, Hugh and Betty Fraser of Oshawa and two brothers, Norm Fraser and his wife Ruth and Doug Fraser and his wife Anne, all of Toronto and a sister, Mary and her late husband Norm MacDonald of Oshawa. Sadly missed by her four nieces, Wookie, Shelagh, Katie and Christine and by her two nephews, Cam and Rob. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph where the family will receive friends today (Thursday) 2-4 p.m. and on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church (12 Glasgow St. S., Guelph) on Saturday, April 20, 2002 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Robin Pifer officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund (Sycamore Tree Project) or The Canadian Bible Society would be appreciated by the family.

DAVIDSON, Eric John - Born August 2, 1936, in Durham, Ontario and went to his final resting place on Tuesday, April 16, 2002. Loving father of John (Carolyn), Terry (Darcy), Roxy (Kurt), Kimberly, Shelly and Eric (Roxanne); dear grandfather; great-grandfather and uncle of many. Brother of George, Mary, Doreen, Carol and Ruth. Eric was predeceased by his two children, Richard and Elizabeth; by his parents, Margaret and Joseph; his brother, Delford and his son-in-law, Gilles. Eric was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be forever in their hearts. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home, 492 Wellington E., Sault Ste. PREZBRUCH, Michael Andrew - Suddenly, Friday, April 19, 2002, in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Martha (Annis); loved father of Christopher and Rhonda Prezbruch, both of Guelph. Survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Michael Sr. and Mary Prezbruch and a brother, Joseph. Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, today (Tuesday) 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel, Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. In respect of his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Loved mother of Stephen and his wife Lana of Fergus and Jim and his wife Marjorie of Waterloo; dear sister of Agnus and her husband Hiram Culp of Damascus, Isabel Lankin of Mount Forest and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Murchison of Arthur. Loved grandmother of Cindy and her husband Derek Watral of Ottawa and Kevin and Brian of Waterloo. Survived also by a brother-in-law, Dave and his wife Betty Wilde of Fergus. Predeceased by John, George and his wife Marie and Ken and by sisters, Adeline and her husband Ross Ripley and Mary and her husband Ivan McDougall. Predeceased also by a brother-in-law, Allan Lankin. Lorne (Darlene) Green of Wasaga Beach and Linda (Aldo) Cuzzolino of Pickering: loved grandfather of Richie Rogers, Jeff and Darren Green and Melissa and Michael Cuzzolino; dear brother of William Green of London, James (Margery) Green of Hamilton and Margaret (Peg) Preater of Guelph. YEATES, Gladys Mary (nee Clough) - Of Guelph, peacefully, at Guelph General Hospital, Sunday, April 28, 2002, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Charles Macdonald (Mac) Yeates. Loved mother of Brian Macdonald and his wife Diane of Gravenhurst, Ruth Eidt of Toronto, Donald Bruce of Guelph, Anne and her husband David Green of Mississauga and Susan Mary of Campbellville. Dear grandmother of Beth and her husband Jim Hayhurst of Toronto, Jill Yeates of Toronto, Robert and Stephen Eidt of Toronto, Jason, Cameron and Katie Green of Mississauga. Great-grandmother of Statten, Quinton and Tatum Hayhurst. Also survived by her nephew, Rick Clough and his wife May of Guelph; niece, Brenda and her husband Fraser Rose of Carrying Place and sister-in-law, Chris and her husband Jack Doughty of Oshawa. Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Ethel Clough; brother, Arthur and granddaughter, Jennifer Yeates. Gladys was a lifelong resident of Guelph, elder of Knox Presbyterian Church, co-founder and director of the Knox Friendly Fellowship Centre, the first formal seniors program in Guelph and recipient of Guelph Sertoma Club "Service to Mankind Award", the Guelph Chamber of Commerce "Award of Merit" and the Guelph-Wellington Men's Club Award. Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph Wednesday (2-4 and 7-9 p.m.). Service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church, 20 Quebec St., Guelph on Thursday, May 2, 2002 at 1:30 p.m. Interment Woodlawn cemetery , Guelph. In lieu of flowers, donations to Knox Presbyterian Church, Guelph or a local charity of your choice would be appreciated. NORQUAY, Aubrey James - On April 29, 2002, at 75 years of age. Cherished husband and best friend of Colleen (nee Kennedy) with whom he lovingly shared 45 years of marriage. Devoted father of Doug Norquay and Susan Norquay of Guelph. Dear son of the late Frank and Ada Norquay of Flin Flon, Manitoba. Beloved brother of Helen Creed of Guelph, Frank and wife Verna Norquay of Hamilton and the late Ada Cameron. Loving uncle of Kenneth Norquay, Barbara Norquay, Robert Creed, Donna Creed and Robert Cameron. Aubrey was a trustee and member of Roseland United Church, a member of Roseland Golden K Kiwanis. He served overseas during the Second World War with the Canadian Army, belonged to RCL Branch No. 594 and had 55 years of service with the Boy Scouts of Canada. Aubrey coached minor hockey and was involved with minor lacrosse. He was an avid curler and golfer and belonged to the Sunparlour Woodcarvers Club. If you so desire, donations to the Roseland United Church or Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday, 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. RCL Branch No. 594 Legion Service, 7 p.m. at Families First Funeral Home & Chapel (519-969-5841) 2670 Dougall Ave., Windsor. On Friday, family and friends are invited to meet at Roseland United Church (3919 Howard Ave.) after 10 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. Interment Fairview cemetery , Wheatley.

PAVLOVIC, Magdalena Lenka - Passed away, peacefully, in her 79th year, at her home, in Belgrade, May 3, 2002. She was the dear mother of Mirjana, Bratislav and his wife Olivera and Dragan and his wife Juliana. Loved grandma of Aleksandar, Katarina, Hick, Mark, Milos and Uros; devoted great-grandma of Victoria. She is resting peacefully at Belgrads cemetery.

WENGER, Murray Montague - Peacefully, after a courageous 10 year battle with cancer, in his 80th year, on Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga. Beloved husband of the late Yolando (2001). Loving father of Carol and her husband David Smelsky of Rockwood, Elizabeth and her husband Larry Boxall of Kitchener, Alan and his wife Lisa (Kemble) of Barrie and David and his wife Kathy (Clarke) of Etobicoke; devoted Papa of Constance, Aaron, Ana Marie and Stefan Smelsky, Patrick Wenger and Zachary Wenger; cherished brother of Kay Frost. Predeceased by Helen Vyvyan and brother, John. Dear brother-in-law of Lois and her husband Bob May. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Murray was employed by the Toronto Board of Education for 27 years, retiring in 1986. He enjoyed his retirement at Kennisis Lake. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, for memorial visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held. For our northern friends, a celebration of Murray's life will be held at Kennisis Lake at a later date (details to be announced). CASSIDY, Rita Emily (nee Moreau) - Died peacefully, at Guelph General Hospital, on Thursday, May 9, 2002. Rita Emily Cassidy, was the wife of the late John P. Cassidy. Survived by her sister, Evelyn Mathieu; beloved mother of Susan, John, Michael, Mark, Jim, Kathleen and Christine. Loving grandmother of Kevin, Sandra, Mike, Anne, Shannon, Ryan, Keira, Brandon, Bryson, Andrew, Torie, Brendan, Callie and Hanna. And a special great-grandmother to Dylan. Mom you always gave so much of yourself. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Church of Our Lady on Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at 10 a.m. Interment Marymount cemetery , Guelph. DOHERTY, Minnie Della - Peacefully, on May 11, 2002, in her 86th year. Minnie Della Doherty, born in 1917, in Ryerson township (near Burks Falls, Ont.) beloved wife of the late Harvey Doherty (1949). Dear mother of Eileen Atamanchuk, Harvey, Autry, Audrey Pearl, Robert, Verna Brunskill; dear grandmother of Glen Atamanchuk, Kathy Bailey, Kim Archer, Cindy Macon, Karen Beattie, Jeff Doherty, Mark Pearl, Kevin, Terry and Scott Doherty, Jim Brunskill and Donna Talbot and 13 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 11 Torch Lane, Guelph, Ont. At Minnie's request, cremation has taken place. (Ferringo) Purdy.
