PIVATO, Antonia Rita - Suddenly, at Guelph General Hospital, on Wednesday, October 16, 2002.Antonia R. (Farronato) Pivato, beloved wife of the late Emilio Pivato (1987). Dear mother of Morena and her husband Paul Doiron, Lorenzo and his wife Joan and Louise and her husband John Silveri, all of Guelph. Loved Nonna of Derek, Emilio, Camilla and Alessandro. Dear sister of Maria, Luciana, Elio, Antonia, Egidio, Agnese and Luigino, all of Italy. She will be missed by her nieces; nephews and cousins. Resting of the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin Street North, Guelph (Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.) Funeral on Monday morning, October 21, to Sacred Heart Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment Marymount cemetery. Vigil for Antonia on Sunday evening at 8:15 p.m. As expression of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

KELLS, Jessie Gertrude (nee Main) - Passed away, after a lengthy struggle, at Groves Memorial Community Hospital, Fergus, on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2002. Gertrude Kells of Elora, born May 25, 1920 in Elora. Gertrude was a long time devoted member of the Elora Women's Institute and the Elora UCW. She was an avid quilter and enjoyed her weekly bingo games. Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Kells (1999) for 59 years. Loving mother of Nancy and her husband Arthur Wright of Fergus, Marg and her husband Leonard Coulson of Elora, Joyce and her husband Pat Martin of Fergus, Ken and his wife Alison of Fergus and David and his wife Paula of Fergus. Dear mother-in-law of Marj Kells of Burlington. Loving grandmother of fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Survived by her sister, Annie Main of Elora. Predeceased by her son, Jim (1993) and her sisters, Hazel Kells and Leila Main. Friends and relatives may call at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 37 Church St., Elora, today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, October 18, 2002 at 11 a.m. Rev. Wm. Sparling officiating. Cremation. A reception will follow in the Elora United Church Fellowship Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the ALS Society of Ontario as expressions of sympathy and may be made by contacting the funeral home at 519-846-5352.

WILSON, Albert "Ab" Charles - (Longtime employee of Mount Forest Caskets). Passed away, at Guelph General Hospital, Guelph, on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002. Ab Wilson, in his 86th year, was the beloved husband of the late Marion Audrie (nee Brown) Wilson (1994). He was the dear father of Carol Ann Dankert of Guleph. Ab will be fondly remembered by grandchildren, Kim and her husband Roger Matthews of Newbury, Patty and her husband Garry Davis of Thunder Bay, Donnie and his wife Susan, Rick, Christina and her partner Chris Benoit and Ashley, all of Guelph and by seven great-grandchildren, Holly, Misty, Joycelyn, Taylor, Melody, Patrick and Karen. Ab is also survived by his sister-in-law, Dorothy Wilson of Guelph. He is predeceased by his brothers, George and Bud and by his son-in-law, Paul Dankert. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home and Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, Oct. 18, 2002 at 1 p.m. Interment Woodlawn cemetery , Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Ave., Toronto, Ont., M5G 1X8.

BONNICK, Beatrice M. - On October 16, 2002, Beatrice M. Bonnick, D.C., formerly of Scarborough, passed away, at Groves Memorial Hospital, Fergus, after a short illness. Bea will be sadly missed by her daughter, Pam St. Onge (Gary) of Edmonton; son, Phil (Teresa) of Orangeville; daughter, Josie Oroth (Doug Bartlett) of Sutton; her grandchildren, Greg, Kate, Meg, Patrick, Silver and Chelsea. She was predeceased in 1966 by her husband, Hugh Philip Bonnick. Bea will be remembered for her commitment to chiropractic care of her patients from her graduation in 1972 to retirement in 2001. She was also a keen lawn bowler, cross-country skier, hiker and traveler. Her active service to the Anglican Church especially at St. Andrew's, Scarborough will be remembered by her parish friends. We would like to thank all her friends and neighbours for their care and support over the last few months. A special thank you to her brother, Stan Dungey for guidance and kindness through this sad time. The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service for Bea will take place on Monday, Oct. 21, 2002 at St. George's Anglican Church, Guelph at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the church. Loved mother of Ted (Ellen) de Vries, Jerry (Tini) de Vries, Fred (Maria) de Vries, Lucy (John) Van Driel, Ann (John) Van Milligen, Karl (Margaret) de Vries, Josie (Dick) Bertelink, John (Joanne) de Vries, Luke (Cathy) de Vries, Sam (Linda) de Vries, Grace (Charlie) Bouwman, Dan (Beverley) de Vries, Henry (Darlene) de Vries, Hilda (Mike) Wasylyk and Shirley (Doug) Hastie. Predeceased by son, Lieuwe de Vries (1949) and daughter, Jane Heron (1994). Also survived by son-in-law, Grant Heron; 70 grandchildren; 103 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, today (Saturday) (7-9 p.m.) and Sunday (2-4 & 7-9 p.m.) Funeral service will be held at Parkview Church, 89 Speedvale Ave., E., Guelph, Monday, October 21, 2002, at 2 p.m.. STAGG, Marie - Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at the Guelph General Hospital, on Wednesday, October 16, 2002, Marie (Melnachuk) Stagg, at the age of 80 years. Loving wife of Don Stagg. Cherished mother of Len Stagg (Sue) of Guelph. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Sarah, Bill and Ryan. Survived by her sister, Anne Dobranski (Emile) of Edmonton. Predeceased by her son, Billy (1953). Marie was a longtime member of the Church of St. James the Apostle. A private family service will be held at the GILCHRIST CHAPEL-McIntyre & Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph on Saturday, Oct. 19. Cremation with inurnment to follow at Woodlawn cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Lung Association of Wellington County would be appreciated.

GATT, Joan Adele - Suddenly, at Hamilton General Hospital, on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, Joan Adele (nee Coleman) Gatt, at the age of 69 years, was the beloved wife of the late Philip Gatt (2000). She was the loving mother of Tony, Michael and John and Lily Gatt, all of Guelph, Paul and his wife Lisa of Ancaster and Mark and his wife Cheryl of Orangeville. Joan was the proud grandmother of Joshua, Alexander, Mark, Brenda, Jason, Gracie, Steve and Amy. She was the dear sister of John Coleman and his wife Linda of Cambridge and Peter Coleman and his wife Andrea of Arizona. Joan was the dear aunt of Laura and her husband Birju Patel, Peter Coleman Jr. and Lori Jacobson. She was predeceased by her brother, Jim. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home and Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph. (There will be no visitation at the funeral home). A Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Rosary Church, 175 Emma St., Guelph, on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002 at 12 noon. Interment Marymount cemetery , Guelph. Michael was the loved grandfather of Alexander, Aaron, Bennett, Blake and Joan. He was the dear brother of Winnifred, Sheila, Nora and John.
