SARETTA, Eusebio - passed away peacefully, into the arms of our Lord, on Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at the age of 66 years, with his loving family at his side. Eusebio valiantly fought a courageous battle with cancer, never giving up and living each day with undying faith and hope. He was an outstanding husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was and always will be the beloved husband, soulmate and best friend of Rose Marie (Embro). Eusebio will forever be a role model for his children whom he selflessly loved; John (Angelina) Saretta, Maria Pia (Paul) Prigione, Ginetta (Don) McPhee, Caterina Saretta and her fiance Andrew Coutts, and David (Tania) Saretta. Proud grandfather of Nicholas and Alec Saretta, Paul and Gianluca Prigione, Mitchell, Mallory and Bronwyn McPhee. Dear brother of Beniamina (and the late Pietro, August 2002) Vona and Antonio (Barbara) Saretta. Loving Godfather of Sarah J. Saretta and special uncle of many nieces and nephews. His many in-laws, cousins and friends will miss his great sense of humour, love of life and friendship. Predeceased by his parents, Giovanni (1982) and Adele (October 2002) Saretta; his infant siblings, Regina (1946), and Livio (1950) and his infant nephew, Scott Anthony Saretta (1984); his father-in-law, Carl Embro (1990); sisters-in-law, Carmela Embro (1973) and Laverne Embro (1983). Family was what mattered the most to Eusebio and he was also extremely proud of his Italian heritage; he lived each day for the well being of his family. Ultimately, his selfless love for his family and his Christian values, integrity, strength and fortitude will be his lasting legacy. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home & Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Vigil for Eusebio will be held on this evening (Friday) at 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Church, 98 Alice St., Guelph on Saturday, November 23, 2002 at 10 a.m. Entombment, Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Chedoke McMaster Children's Hospital, Hospital for Sick Children (Toronto) or to the Partners for Better Health Campaign would be appreciated by the family.

SPEERS, Alex - Suddenly, on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, Alex Speers, in his 71st year, went home to be with his Lord. Beloved husband of June Speers (nee Fisher). Irreplaceable and loving Dad of Claire Forgie and her husband Bob, Paris, Ed Speers and his wife Barb, Elmira, Michael Glenn Speers and his wife Mary Lou, Villa Nova, Stephen Speers and his wife Linda, Princeton and Patt Biro and her husband Rick, Paris. Alex was blessed with a large and loving family and his memory will always be cherished by 18 grandchildren and their spouses and nine great-grandchildren. He is survived by one sister; four brothers and their spouses. Alex started his working career with Speers Electric in Elora. He later owned and operated Speers Services in Paris, Ont. He also worked for 10 years with Westinghouse Canada in the Middle East. Since retirement he has worked full time for his kids. He was a wise and precious man. Friends will be welcomed at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Rd., Paris, tonight (Thursday) 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service at New Covenant Congregational Christian Church, 22 Holiday Dr., Brantford on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. A private family interment will follow the funeral service in the Paris cemetery. HILL, Eula Irene (nee Murphy) - With grace and comfort, Eula passed away, peacefully, at the K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital on Tuesday, November 19, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Norman (Bunker) Hill; loving mother to Linda of Sacramento, CA, Jim (Lori) of Waterloo, Lisa of Kitchener and daughter-in-law, Carmel of Nova Scotia. Proud grandmother of Tabatha, Lea Ann, Alexis, Colin, Bailey and great-granddaughter, Jenna. Dear sister of Helen Morris and family of Mt. Forest. Fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sons, Jack and Mike; parents, Lawrence and Irene Murphy; brothers, Tom and Joe and infant twin sisters, Marguerite and Rita. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life in the chapel of the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 621 King St. W., Kitchener on Friday, November 22, 2002 at 11 a.m. In Eula's memory, donations to the Hemo-Dialysis Unit of the K-W Health Centre, Grand River Hospital would be appreciated and may be made by contacting the funeral home at 745-9495

BOULDING, Lillian Irene (nee Platt) - of Guelph, passed away peacefully, at Morriston Park Nursing Home, Morriston, Tuesday, November 19, 2002, in her 96th year. Beloved mother of Muriel Connolly of London and Ivy (Cornell) Short of Guelph. Fondly remembered by grandchildren, Brian (Jill) Connolly, Wendy (Scott) McCavour, Darren (Helen) Connolly and Brad (Kathy) Cornell. Loving great-grandmother of eight. Predeceased by a brother Wilbert Platt. Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Thursday, November 21, 2002, for one hour prior to the funeral service at 2 p.m. (Reception to follow in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre). Interment Woodlawn cemetery , Guelph. KLEIN, Veronica Eva - Peacefully, at Norcliffe Lifecare Centre, Hagersville, on Friday, June 14, 2002. Veronica Klein (nee McDonald) was the beloved wife of the late George Klein (1982). She was predeceased by her sister, Adela Ibbotson (1998) and her brother, Willard McDonald (1984). She was the dear daughter of the late Florence O'Neill and Joseph McDonald. Veronica is survived by her loving niece, Marie Ibbotson of Caledonia. MATHESON, Theresa Marie - The family of Theresa Marie Matheson sadly announces her passing away, at Collingwood General Marine Hospital, on November 17, 2002, in her 86th year. Marie Theresa Matheson, dear wife of the late Joseph D. Matheson of Acton. Loving mother of Rochelle and Jim Waterhouse, Diane and Bill Handy, all of Wasaga Beach and Margot and Scott Watson of Guelph, Dianne Shultis Matheson and the late Dorance and the late Allan Matheson. Loving grandmother of Tracy, Steven, Lisa, Marlee, Jane, Amanda, Andrea, Leah and Daniel. Theresa is also survived by her brother, Paul Thibodeau, New Brunswick, Leo Thibodeau, British Columbia and her sister, Albertine Roy, New Brunswick. Friends were received at the Blue Springs Funeral Home, 12 Church St. E., Acton, 519-853-2399, Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers were held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Joseph's Church, Acton, today (Thursday) at 1:30 p.m. Interment Fairview cemetery , Acton. THOMS, Barbara "Betty" - At Guelph General Hospital, on Thursday, November 14, 2002. Betty (Heathcote) Thoms, in her 87th year. Dear friend of Richard Hunt of Guelph; loved mother of Edward Thoms of Guelph, Jane Butler of Cambridge and William Thoms (Elizabeth) of Toronto. Sadly missed by grandchildren Sarah, Douglas and Michael. Always remembered by her sisters, Beatrice Fleming of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and Peggy Allison of RR 1, Bath, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband, Dr. Edward Thoms (1989), her sister May and brother James. CAMILLERI, Victor Frank - At Guelph General Hospital, on Monday, December 2, 2002. Victor Frank Camilleri, in his 58th year was the husband of Mary-Ann (Farrugia) Camilleri of Guelph. He was the loved father of Ian and his wife Robyn of Kitchener and the dear grandfather of Nicholas. Victor was the dear brother of Tony and his wife Barbara of Guelph, Maria Baldacchino, Charlie and Silvio, all of Malta and Joe of London, England. He was the dear uncle of Tonya Campbell and Joe Camilleri of Guelph and also of many nieces and nephews in Toronto and in Malta. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home and Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, where the family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment Marymount cemetery. Survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Rocco of Guelph, nieces, Lisa and Lori and nephews, John and Steve and their families. Also missed by family and friends in Sault Ste. Marie and her nursing colleagues. Predeceased by her son, Bobby Comtois and brothers, Mike and Bob Giasson. Dear grandmother of 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Loving father of Evelyn (Mrs. Bill Eaton), Marilyn (Mrs. Ken Mollison), Bruce Rowland and his wife Cathy, Ann Hodgins, Karen (Mrs. Mike McEwen), Dennis Rowland and his wife Beth, Tim Rowland and Mark Rowland. Loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Brother of Ed and his wife Fran. Predeceased by his brother, Roy and his sister, Tresa and by two grandchildren. MYLES, Lee - passed away on Monday, December 9, in his 34th year. Beloved and devoted father of Garrett and Kaitlyn Myles and husband of Charlene Myles (Roberts) of Guelph.
