CLOSE, Anne - On Saturday, November 30, 2002, at Pinehaven Nursing Home, age 87 years. Dear wife of Walter Close for over 60 years, of Waterloo. Loving mother of Ted of Vancouver. Anne's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Tuesday, December 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with Canon Robin Lyons officiating. Following the service, friends are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home. Committal service will take place in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of K-W would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be arranged through the funeral home at 745-8445

GREEN, Mary M. - Of Guelph, passed away peacefully, at Guelph General Hospital, Saturday, November 30, 2002, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Fred Green (1997). Loved mother of Bill and wife Marilyn Green of Peterborough, Ted and wife Diane Green, Doug and wife Bernice Green, all of Guelph and was predeceased by her daughter, Peggy Cabeldu (1998) and her son-in-law, Gord Cabeldu (2000). Loving grandmother of Cathy, Susan and husband Steve, Jeff, Greg and wife Brenda-Lee, Brad and wife Shelley, Jodi and Jamie. Also survived by nine great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers, Jim, Henry, Andrew and Clarence Leachman and a sister, Eleanor Gilchrist. Mary and her husband Fred operated Green's Food Service for many years. Mary had been active on the board with the CNIB and was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, Tuesday (2-4 and 7-9 p.m.). Funeral service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 12 Glasgow St. S., Guelph on Wednesday, December 4, 2002, at 11 a.m. Interment Memory Gardens, Breslau. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, the CNIB or to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Mary Green in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest, University of Guelph, Arboretum. Dedication service Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at 2:30 p.m.

MUNRO, Sheilah Ann - Peacefully, in her bed at home with her family by her side, on Sunday, December 1, 2002, following a battle with cancer. Through it all she remained Sheilah wife, mom, grandma to her family which she cherished more than anything. She leaves her beloved husband, Bill. Loving mother of Scott and his wife Janie of Guelph, Jodi and her husband Tullio Bergagnini of Mississauga and Suzy and her husband Gary Lloyd of Aberfoyle. Cherished grandma of Isabella MacGregor, Taylor, Cameron and Sydney. Loved daughter of Margaret and Perrin Hammond of Fergus; dear sister of Peter and his wife Kerri Hammond of Guelph. The family will receive their friends at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and Chapel, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus on Tuesday, December 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Followed by cremation. A memorial service will be held at the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 325 St. George St. W., Fergus, on Saturday, December 7, 2002 at 11 a.m., with Rev. David Whitecross officiating at the service. Sheilah is with the angels now. Remembrances to the Groves Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Community Care Access Centre or Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.

McBAIN, Don - Peacefully, after a courageous battle, at Guelph General Hospital, on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, Don McBain, in his 62nd year. Beloved son of Phyllis Lobsinger (McBain). Dear father of Brad, Dean, Grant, Jeri-Lynn and her husband John, Lloyd and Harry. Loved grandfather of Lindsay, Derrick, Breana, Alexandria, Billy and Casandra. He will be missed by his brothers, Bill and his wife Mary, Ron and his wife Valena and sisters, Violet and her husband Jim Young and Phyllis and her husband Garry Willfang. Predeceased by his father, William in 1970. Cremation has taken place. HANDLEY, Donald Archie - Passed away peacefully, at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Saturday, February 8, 2003, at the age of 74 years. Beloved fiance of Joan Martindale of Kitchener. Loving brother to Martha Pritchard of Elora, Arnold Handley of Willowdale and Fred Handley of Martin River. Don is predeceased by his brother, John Handley. BRECKEN, Arthur LeRoy - (Longtime Art Teacher at the Erin District High School). Peacefully, at the Hillsburgh Rest Home, on Monday, January 27, 2003. Beloved brother of Grace MacNairn (Halifax); loving uncle of Cynthia (Seattle), Gwendolyn (Halifax), James (Michigan), Ian (Maryland) and Nancy (Halifax). Born in Toronto, November 1, 1915; grew up in China; graduated in Applied Arts from Mount Allison University; served in the Canadian Army; taught at the Erin District High School, the Guelph Recreation Centre and gave private lessons in his kitchen studio. His art ranged through oils and watercolours to work in leather, silver, copper, wood, soapstone, pottery and enamel - there was Art in his name and Art in his life, which he generously shared with all who knew him. The family will receive friends for Visitation at the Butcher Family Funeral Home, 5399 Main St. South, Erin, on Friday, February 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Erin United Church, 115 Main St., Erin, on Saturday, February 15, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Davison officiating. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to the Wellington County Historical Society, P.O. Box 5, Fergus, Ontario, N1M 2W7, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

Loving wife of Bob Gould of Renfrew; loved mother of Kim Redden (Mike) of Moffat, Ont. and Darrell (Jackie) of Yellowknife, N.W.T.; loved grandma to Taylor Redden and Ryan and Emily Gould; dear sister of Bruce MacLaurin (Nancy) of Kitchener. Predeceased by her parents, Gordon and Dorothy MacLaurin.
