Stewart, Murray Wilbur. Peacefully, at the Milton District Hospital on Wednesday, april 4, 2001. Murray Wilbur Stewart of Burlington in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Norma (nee Biesenthal) Stewart. Loving father of Captain Gaye Stewart, CFB Borden, Debbie Beacom and her husband Jeff of Barrie; Terry Stewart and his wife Debbie of Simcoe and Helen Stewart of Hamilton. Dear grandfather of Erin and Carrie Stewart. Will be sadly missed by his brothers Donald and Mortimer Stewart of Nova Scotia and Arthur Stewart of Hamilton and many nieces and nephews. Special Grandpa to Sable and Angel. Predeceased by his sister Helen Stewart and brothers John, Burnley, george, Dawson, Kerr and Howard Stewart. Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333) on Saturday 7-9 pm. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1299 Brant Street, Burlington on Monday, April 9, 2001 at 1 p.m. Interment Greenwood cemetery , Burlington. If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Alzheimer's Foundation or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

TUOMI, Paul (Matti Paavo Elias Tuominen) - of Poplar St., Simcoe. After a brief illness, at University Hospital, London on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 in his 66th year. Loving husband of the late Annie Tuomi (May 18, 1999). Will be sadly missed by his mother Jenny Tuomi in Finland. Beloved father of Brenda Follington and her husband Brian, Jeff Tuomi and his friend Melina Parsons, all of Brantford, and Lisa Harp and her husband Robert of Waterford. Dear grandfather of Tracy Humphrey (Steve), Bradley Follington and Jesse Amanda Harp and great grandfather to Alexandra Lynn and Steven Edward Follington-Humphrey. Paul was a longtime member of the Army, Navy & Air Force Unit 255 Simcoe. Mr. Tuomi is at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe where the family will receive friends to share their memories of Paul on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Mr. Tuomi's life will be held at the funeral home on Friday, April 6, 2001 at 10 am with Reverend Bryan Robertson officiating. Interment Oakwood cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Baldock's 426-0291.

Wilcox: Ruth Margaret of Waterford, passed away, suddenly, at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, on Sunday, April 1, 2001, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Lewis Wilcox of Waterford. Dearly loved mother of Susan Hackbart of Burnaby, B.C., Karen Shaw and her husband Elwin of Manitoulin Island, and Bryan Schwalm of Edmonton, Alta. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Chris Hackbart and his wife Pam, Randy Hackbart and his fiancée Stacey, Tim Shaw and his wife Monique, and Tom Shaw and his wife Stephanie. Four great-grandchildren also survive. Survived by her sisters, Alice Corbett and Edith LaFlamme, both of Kitchener, Jean Berlet and husband Carl of Waterloo as well as her brother Robert Rosekat and his wife Shirley of Kitchener. Sister-in-law of Anne Rosekat of Kitchener, Evelyn McConnell of Midland, Chester Wilcox and his wife Jean of Barrie, and Bill Wilcox and his wife of Toronto. Predeceased by her first husband Carmon Schwalm in 1963, her parents, Albert and Anna Marie (Frank) Rosekat, and her brother Edward Rosekat. Relatives and friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, tonight (Monday evening) from 7-9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel on Wednesday, April 4 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. David Malina officiating. Interment in Woodland cemetery , Kitchener. Reception will follow in the Ratz-Bechtel family Centre. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Canadian Cancer Society and may be placed by contacting the funeral home at 1-519-745-9495.

YEO, Wm. John "Jack" - of William St., Delhi passed away at the St. Joseph's Health Care, London on Thursday, April 5, 2001 in his 89th year. Former member of the I.O.F. Orange Lodge. Beloved husband of Fern Yeo (nee: Whitney). Dear father of Phyllis Fournier (Roland), Delhi; Marlene Derer, Tillsonburg; Larry Yeo (Dianne), Delhi; Darlene Robinson (Art), Alberta; Adele Shelton (Tom Kramer), Delhi; Emily Yeo, Delhi; Lorraine Marsh, Alberta; Robert Yeo (Jackie), Alberta; Blanche Vandekerckhove (Jerry), Delhi; Kathy Horvath (John), Delhi and Karen Dawe (Ervin Vincent), Exeter. Cherished grandfather of 21 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Predeceased by granddaughter, Linda Marlene Derer (1971) and a sister, Winnifred Yeo. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. AKINS, Charles of Parkview Meadows Retirement Village, Townsend, peacefully at West Haldimand Hospital on June 11, 2001 in his 90th year. Predeceased by his first wife Florence (nee Hazlett) (1966), and his second wife Mary (nee Paraschuk) (2001). Loving father of Jeanne and her husband Ray Harding of Simcoe, and Joyce Clarke of Selkirk. Dear step-father of Marion Kratky of Kitchener and Francine Alborough of Port Severn. Charlie will be sadly missed by his brother Lynes (Hick) Akins and his wife Marg and his sister Lourena Vandersluys and her husband Harry. A proud and loving grandfather of nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Annie Akins, a son-in-law Raymond Clarke, a sister Marguitte Mordeau and a brother Joseph. The family will receive friends at the THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, 102 First Ave., Port Dover on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service for Mr. Akins will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, June 13 at 2 p.m.. Blake, Lawrence Joseph of Port Dover, peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital, on June 9th, 2001 in his 83rd year. Lawrence beloved husband of Mary (nee Hyland) for 55 years. Dear father of Joe and his wife Becky of Kitchener, Dan and his wife Maureen of Winnipeg, Dennis and his wife Minda of Port Dover, Paul and his wife Cindy-Lou of Toronto, Audrey and her husband Jay Roxburgh of Simcoe and Kathleen and her husband David Musselman of Langton. Lovingly remembered by his 10 grandchildren; Laura, Leah, John, Doug, Trevor, Nancy, Daniel, Danika, Kimberly and Mary. Lawrence is also survived by his brother Gerald and his wife Mary of Port Elgin, sisters Rita Blake of Port Dover; Mary Smith and her husband Joe of Brantford as well as a sister-in-law Eleanor Blake of Bradford and a brother-in-law Mike Farrell of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Ursula (Columbus) Blake, his brothers Dan and Joseph, sisters Helen and her husband George Jollymore and Kathleen Farrell and brother-in-law and sister-in-law Wilfred and Trudy Hyland. Prior to his retirement Lawrence worked as a Carpenter and Construction Worker with Inverley Construction until 1983 and then as a Mail Carrier until 1996. Friends are invited to share their memories of Lawrence with the family at thompson waters funeral home, 102 First Ave., Port Dover (583-1530) on Monday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. cecilia's roman catholic church, Port Dover on Tuesday, June 12th, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Father Ed Bellefeuille celebrant. Interment : Port Dover cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the cemetery Paving Program would be appreciated by the family. Parish Prayers will be said at the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:45 p.m.

DOWLING, Alice (Sasse): At her home in Waterford with her husband Stephen by her side on Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at the age of 33 years. Beloved wife of Stephen Dowling. Loving mother of Heather & Isaiah both at home. Sister of Janet Binkley (Gary), Dunchurch. Predeceased by a brother William Lewis. Exelby: Marion Rose: passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital on Friday, June 8, 2001. Mrs. Marion Exelby of 248 Owen St., Simcoe in her 83rd year. Much beloved wife of William (Bill) Exelby for over 57 years. Also surviving is her loving daughter: Nancy Exelby of Brantford, loving sons; Jim Exelby of Nipissing and Bill Exelby and his wife Deb of Simcoe. Marion will be sadly missed by her grandchildren; Fred, Kevin and Darren, sisters; Ruth Lancaster and her husband Bob of Brantford and Margaret Peck and her husband Roger of Brantford, cousins and nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday, June 11 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the ferris FUNERAL home, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m. Reverend Michael Beacom officiating followed by Cremation. Lovranski: Constance Mary Peacefully at Norview Lodge, Simcoe, Ontario on Saturday June 9, 2001 in her 89th year. Wife of the late Roy Lovranski. Beloved mother of Joe Lovranski and his wife Sandra of Simcoe. Dear grandmother of Dan Lovranski of Toronto and Christine Lovranski of Simcoe. Survived by sister Lucy Rapiach of Hamilton, sister-in-law Betty Ratigliano of Burlington, sister-in-law Angie Ratigliano of Watertown, New York and several Nieces and Nephews. Pre-deceased by brother Joe Ratigliano, brother Anthony Ratigliano and sister Jean Nagy. Mrs. Lovranski is at the dodsworth & brown funeral home "robinson chapel" (King Street East at Wellington) Hamilton 905-522-2496 where the family will receive friends on Tuesday June 12, 2001 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodland cemetery , Hamilton. LUCAS, Eva Bernice (Robinson) of Tillsonburg passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 in her 67th year. Born on June 10, 1935 in Port Rowan, she was the daughter of the late William C. (1947) and Helen B. (Kenline) Robinson (1980). Beloved wife of Morley E. Lucas. Loving mother of Judy Bernice Demeter and her husband Richard of R.R.#4 Aylmer. Cherished grandmother of Lucas H. Demeter and Kalina M. Demeter. Dear sister-in-law of Ivan Merkley of Chesterville. Also survived by 1 sister Shirley Ann Koluk and her husband Walter of Cambridge and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by 2 sisters Margaret Mae Robinson (1935) and Betty Doris Feere-Merkley (1990). PAAUW, Jitske (nee Gjaltema) - of R.R. #3 Waterford, promoted to glory and into the presence of her Lord and Saviour at her residence on Tuesday, June 12th, 2001 in her 77th year. Formerly of Holland, Mrs. Paauw is the dearly loved wife of Hepke Paauw of Waterford. Proud mother of her children Klaas Paauw and his wife Jennie of Norwich; Jane Post and her husband Larry of Simcoe; Oenze Paauw of Simcoe; Dirk Paauw and his wife Chris of Waterford and Peter Paauw and his wife Kathy also of Waterford. Mrs. Paauw loved and cherished her grandchildren Derrick and his wife Joanne, Gregory, Valerie and her husband Daryl, Mandy, Ryan, Ashley, Brad and Victoria and was very proud of her great grandchildren Tanielle and Nerissa. Mrs. Paauw will be fondly remembered by her two sisters Djoeke and Iefke and her brother Popke as well as many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Paauw is predeceased by her parents the late Oenze Gjaltema and the former Jantje Nieuwenhuis; a daughter Jessie; a sister Ynskje and three brothers Bareld, Pieter and Hans.
