Murrant, Carl Arthur - Suddenly at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Monday, March 29th, 2010, Carl Murrant at 78 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Lucy Mae Murrant (nee McNeil). Dear father of Jim Murrant (Carole), Howard Murrant (Connie), Carl Murrant (Christine), and Jane Francis (Neil). Cherished grandfather of Shay (Jason), Shawna (Greg), Natalie, Jeremy (Liz), Josh, Daryl (Sara), and great grandfather of Emily, Olivia, Rachel, and Abby. Predeceased by his siblings. At Carl’s request there will be cremation with a family service at a later date. Those wishing may make a memorial donation by cheque to the NHH - Dialysis Unit.

Loving mother of Mark Waskowec (Bev Moher) and Marie Waskowec (Cory Stephens). Pre-deceased by her parents Harry and Clementine MacRae. Dear stepmother of Sandra McBride (Glen), Steven Rath (Lynda), James Rath, Lorne Rath (Anna), Kevin Rath (Linda) and the late Harold Rath. Lovingly remembered by many grandchildren. Pre-deceased by her brother David MacRae (Jean), and sisters Clementine Wilcox and Helen Hunter. Also fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Cherished daughter of the late Viola Grace (Mutton) Samson. Beloved wife of Terry. Loving mother of Kathleen James-Cavan and her husband Stephen Cavan, Marlene James, and Megan and her husband Mark Cayen. Dear Grandmother of Nick, Sophia and Bryn James-Cavan; and Sara, Emma and Hannah Cayen. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 29th at Eden United Church, Dundonald, at 2 p.m. Interment of cremated remains at Shiloh cemetery. Reception to follow at the church. Patterson Knight. Cherished mother of Dr. Peter Knight and Mary Elizabeth Clark (David). Dear grandmother of Patrick and Emlyn, and Trevor and Ian. Predeceased by her beloved brother Dr. “Luke” Herbert Irwin and his late wife, Lorna. Well-loved Auntie to many nieces and nephews. She was a long-time resident of Cobourg until September 2008. Walker, gardener, and active member of a variety of organizations in Cobourg, including the Inner Wheel and Probus. Iris is survived by her children Judy Campbell (Nigel), Andrew (Unah) and Colin (Cheryl), grandchildren Jessica, Sam and Charlie Campbell and Ben, Dylan and Jodie Grieve, as well as brother Trevor McNamara of Broadstairs, England. Memorial service planned for Saturday, March 6, 2 p.m. at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg. Reception to follow. Barbara McCoy (Evans)- Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg, Ontario, on February 8, 2010 after a long and difficult battle with cancer. Barbara was the loving wife, best friend and soul mate of Patrick McCoy. She was also mother of Kimberley (Hoyte) Wolbert, and stepmother to Marlene (Mark) Belliveau of Windsor, Nova Scotia, Raymond (Linda) McCoy of Winnipeg, and Paula McCoy of Ville St-Laurent, Quebec. Barbara will be forever remembered and loved by her sister Gwen Barry of Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, her sister Thelma (Dave) Moore of Grimsby, Ontario, and her brother George (Lynda) Evans of Brantford, Ontario. Barbara was a caring grandmother to 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was always a loving and caring friend to all and will be dearly remembered by her many relatives and friends. In her passing, Barbara will be reunited with her parents, Charles and Dorothy Evans. There would not be enough room to name all the individuals and organizations deserving our thanks and gratitude for their care and support during Barbara’s life and illness. There are her many friends, wonderful neighbours and our extended family in the North Shore Probus Club. We are especially grateful for the wonderful medical care she received from her family physician, Dr. T. Hearnden, her surgeries and care at Sunnybrook Hospital, Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Northumberland Hills Hospital, and especially Dr. D. Moorsom and the staff of angels working in the NHH Palliative Care Unit who so kindly comforted and cared for Barbara during her final days.Visitation will take place at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg on Thursday, February 11th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, February 12th from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. George’s Anglican Church, 10792 Hwy 2, Grafton on Friday, February 12th at 2 p.m. Interment St. George’s cemetery. MUTTON, Lawrence Edwin Peacefully at home on October 4th, 2003 in his 92nd year. Son of the late George and Weltha Mutton. Cherished husband and best friend of Beryl Marjorie Tucker. Beloved father of Stephanie (Joe), Michael (Helen), David (Bea), Graham (Cathy) and Wendy. Loving grandpa of Chris, Erin, Kevin, Richard, Jeff, Bill, Angie and 16 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Sarah Bennett and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by sisters Elsie Packard, Amy Pretsell, Edith Pearson, Myrtle Perry, Grace Sampson, Edna Gillespie and brother Clarence. Lawrence served with the 1st Division of the RCHA in WW II. Eileen McKim (van der Boon)

Eileen McKim (van der Boon) On September 27, 2003 a new angel entered Heaven. Eileen passed away in Alberta with her daughter and grandson by her side, at the age of 82. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sheelagh (Clint), grandson Jason, great-granddaughter Grace, brother Gordon (Ruth), sister Doris, sister-in-law Vivian, the van der Boon family and many true lifelong friends in Ontario as well as her new friends in Alberta. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, sons Gary and Fred Jr., and second husband Michael van der Boon. Born in New Brunswick to Gladys and Norman Spence, she married Fred and began to travel. She was a wonderful mother, military wife, true friend to many and a very courageous woman. Eileen was loved by all and known for her wonderful sense of humour, intelligence and compassion. In her later years she traveled extensively until she started having strokes. She leaves us many cherished memories and has made the world a better place to be in. There will be a memorial service for Eileen on Tuesday, October 14, 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s cemetery , Cobourg, followed by a reception at the Lion’s Centre. Donations by cheque to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in lieu of flowers would be her wishes. Donations and condolences received at maccoubrey.com. God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be, So He closed His arms around you and whispered “Come to Me”. You didn’t deserve what you went through, so He gave you rest.
